Wonderful Sunday lunch, tasty traditional roasts and decadent desserts. Service was friendly and so thoughtful. Great understanding and empathy when lunching with elderly parents. Thank you for the little touches that showed you care.

We just wanted to say that we had a fabulous meal at the Duke - a special treat from my Sister and Brother in Law for my Significant Birthday. The ambience in the dining room was relaxed and friendly - the food was superb - very tasty and my choices of the Chicken Kiev as a starter and the Duke Steak burger were one of the best I have ever tasted if not the best! The rest of our party thoroughly enjoyed their respective meal choices too. The service was great and timely - you were not rushed which is always a bonus. The Staff were professional but friendly and welcoming. A bouquet of lovely flowers waiting for me (delivered to the Duke Hotel) which made the evening extra special too. We will definitely be returning and recommending you to Friends and Family. Thank you very much for making my Birthday even more memorable.

I went to The Duke Hotel last night for dinner. It was absolutely phenomenal, the lamb shoulder was cooked perfectly and had so much flavour. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I've never gone to a restaurant with such kind staff. I definitely recommend to all!

Was a lovely Pub feel but with food of the highest restaurant quality. Me and all my fellow diners were in agreement that it was one of the most delicious roasts i have ever consumed. Delicious! I personally opted for the turkey roast and it was lovely. A twist on a british classic, turkey wrapped in bacon with a beautiful stuffing within, and dont even get me started on those stupendous spuds! Crispy, golden, with a fluffy interior which could be likened to the centre of a cloud. If that cloud were covered in a stunning herb mix of course. If i were to speak of the whole meal i would need a few days to write all the positives but all in all an amazing location with friendly staff and great food.

Sunday lunch with friends. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Simply a very good, relaxed dining experience in a warm, friendly environment. Bravo! At first glance, you may think it's pricy for the location..... trust me, it's money well spent. For those who don't wish to, or don't drive, the 55 bus stops right outside!

Recieved a warm welcome from all the staff. The Sunday roast was delicious, all freshly cooked. We were recommended the tiramisu, it was the best I had ever tasted. Will be trying the steak night next. Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely pub.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. We only spent one night. The room, restaurant, breakfast and staff were all great. Brandon and Matteo are both very charming. Our room was tastefully decorated and it felt like home. Will definitely return in the future.

We did not stay here, we just ate at Christmas. Unfortunately the food wasn’t up to standard. My son is a foodie and knows his stuff so he was most disappointed with the Japanese kimcho soup, passing it around it was like greasy pork soup. Three of us had the lamb which was also disappointing, just a mishmash of food with tasteless lamb. Sad, as it was a special family dinner, and restaurant we recommended, but we had only been there for lunch. There is a large Japanese influence with the menu, so we maybe, apart from the soup, ordered the wrong things. The surrounding and service were good.

We visited for New Year’s Eve with friends and although it wasn’t quite what we expected we had a great time. The rooms are uniquely decorated and are very comfortable, the breakfast was huge and there is lots to see and do in the local area. Matteo and Brandon are working very hard to make their venture a success.
