Hotel in zona Sklep Nature, Hersonissos

We went from 28 May to 4 June. We arrived just before midnight and so were advised to go straight for something to eat and then we were shown to our rooms. Good points - the resort is spotless, I think I saw two items of litter the whole holiday. The food at the buffet was the best of any all inclusive hotel I have been to. Being able to eat at the a la carte restaurants was also a treat. We managed to eat at them all and our favourites were Mademi and Pithos. You can only book one day in advance so top tip is to download the app and at 7.30am bookings for the restaurants open for the following day. This way we got to try all of the restaurants and the food at them all was very impressive and beautifully presented. We weren’t a fan of the main pool which was very busy, Sun loungers were saved early on. But if you explore you will find a pool that suits you. We loved the Pithos Pool, there were always sun loungers available and at times we had the pool to ourselves. Other pools also had loungers available throughout the day. We also weren’t a fan of the beach which is more pebbles than sand and packed with sun loungers but we loved the spot by the sea next to the Medemi restaurant. We always managed to grab a sun lounger and the view of the sea was much prettier here. Great spot for snorkelling. The gyros bar by the main pool is worth a visit for chicken or pork in a pitta wrap with salad and fries. There is also a smoothie/juice bar and ice cream bar next door. The outdoor cinema was also great although we got bitten a lot by mosquitoes so wear protection. The tv in the room had Netflix and YouTube which was great for the day of bad weather we had during our stay. We did struggle to find shelter during a thunderstorm because the bar area was busy but in the original reception area opposite the Estia restaurant we discovered another indoor bar area with lots of seating. The entertainment is less visible than other resorts but I suspect it is just because the resort is so big. They are based by the pool near the water slides. We watched the circus show one evening and the Disney show, both were very good. The staff are all very friendly and clearly take pride in the resort. On one evening my daughter left her bag in a restaurant and as soon as we realised we went to reception and were very impressed that it had already been handed in. We also left a tv fire stick in our room. My husband emailed the hotel to ask for it to just be removed and destroyed. The hotel replied within a few hours to say they had retrieved the device and had posted it back to us. Assuming it arrives back we are very impressed by this level of service. Few ******s if we are being picky… We booked sea view rooms but were on the side of the hotel so had to stand at the edge of the balcony and turn our heads to see a little bit of sea, which was a little disappointing. We were only ever offered one drink with the buffet meals and even with the a la carte book

Ottimo posto, il Palmera Hotel è posizionato in un posto davvero strategico, puoi fare lunghe passeggiate e trovare tutta la movida che Hersonissos offre… ma non solo agenzie per escursioni, agenzie d’affitto auto e negozi di souvenir…tutto a portata di mano! Si affaccia sul mare e l’atmosfera in hotel è giovane e allegra. Il personale è molto molto gentile, tutti sempre sorridenti, disponibili e accoglienti. Al ristorante si mangia molto bene e anche lì il personale è davvero cortese. L’arredamento è nuovo e moderno, se dovessi trovare qualche pecca direi che la pulizia, a volte, in camera, non è stata ottimale. Ho trovato tantissimi miei capelli spazzolati la sera prima a terra in bagno lasciati lì dopo le pulizie! No good per un 4 stelle! Inoltre una cosa a cui presto particolare attenzione negli hotel sono i profumi. Mi piace quando gli asciugamani puliti o le lenzuola profumano tanto e di pulito. Ecco gli asciugamani cambiati con meticolosità, praticamente quasi tutti i giorni in una settimana, purtroppo non profumano di nulla, è un peccato, questa è una coccola a cui basta prestare pochissima attenzione e gli ospiti se ne ricorderanno! Per il resto ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene. Lo consiglio e ci ritornerei, il buongiorno ogni mattina a suon di “Kalimera” in sala colazione è stato un toccasana per iniziare al meglio la giornata! Cibo a colazione abbondante e buono! Tips: farei una bella piscina molto più grande sul giardino dietro.

We were a family of 4, staying for 11 nights, don’t think we managed to see half of the hotel in this time, it’s huge. Although so big it is kept very clean and tidy. We stayed in a superior family room and this was cleaned everyday, also clean towels and bedding provided daily as well bottles of water left each time. Our children are 12 and 15, they had a separate twin bedroom, whilst we had a double bedroom which led onto a good sized balcony, with amazing views of the sunrise. We were room 451 and positioned perfectly for all facilities around the hotel. Only thing I would improve would be the amount of storage, a lot of our clothes had to be left piled up in the wardrobe as not enough space / hangers for all clothes to be hung up. The pool areas were all lovely, we didn’t use the children’s splash pool as our children were older but looked as though there were plenty of beds around that area as well as a snack bar and shop. We mainly used the Olympic swimming pool, always managed to get sun beds, although we did get up early so would probably struggle after 10am. The daily activities all happen around this pool, as well the entertainment songs, you will soon learn “we are the best” and I have to say the entertainment team live up to that song, they work continuously all day and night and are very friendly, although not all evening entertainment was to our taste you cannot fault their enthusiasm and effort. We also used the quieter pool at the top of the hotel, you did have to be up extremely early to get beds there though, they are very comfy sun loungers and lots of parasols to get some much needed shade at some points through the day. There are bars and shops around all pools which is great and the Artemis snack bar has something to offer all day long: pizzas, burgers, chicken nuggets, fish, chips, gyros, salads, rolls, wraps, cake, ice cream, the list goes on, also self service hot and cold drinks all day. There are two main restaurants for lunch and dinner, both can be used for lunch and have different themes. At dinner you will only be able to use one restaurant, depending on your wristband colour (blue or black) Food is the same in both restaurants for dinner but having the different allocations means they don’t get too busy. Food was overall very good, I preferred lunchtimes as the evening can get a bit repetitive but this is very often the case with all inclusive. There are so many different stations and options for different foods so you definitely won’t go hungry. We also booked the Asian night and Greek restaurant and both were good. The Greek restaurant is in a lovely setting with a little church in the grounds. We had an amazing holiday, really can’t fault the hotel at all, as mentioned, it is huge so you will get lots of steps in and quite a walk back from the beach up the hills but I believe there is a shuttle bus at certain times if required, we were quite happy with the walk and visiting the donkeys on the way. Premetto che sono abituata a viaggiare molto per lavoro e vacanza e posso affermare che questo hotel è decisamente sopra la media della sua categoria. Naturalmente parliamo di un hotel giovane e dinamico, un’evoluzione del classico 5 stelle. La struttura è nuova, sempre pulita e curata nei dettagli. Un plauso speciale va allo staff, dall’accoglienza alla colazione, dal pranzo alla cena, dalla cura delle camere alla cura del complesso, sono tutti molto attenti nel voler soddisfare ogni tua richiesta. questo tipo di attenzione non è così comune e frequente, almeno in Europa. Un ringraziamento doveroso al ristorante Bony Fish che mi ha riservato un trattamento speciale Polina ed il suo staff sono riusciti ad esaudire ogni mia richiesta con grande professionalità ed entusiasmo, spicca infatti anche la professionalità e la competenza del loro Manager Vasilis Andrikopoulos sempre attento e gentile con ogni ospite. Se proprio devo fare un appunto lo posso fare sul rapporto qualità/prezzo del cibo... ma provengo dal settore e sono Italiana quindi forse troppo esigente😬

This hotel is amazing. We spent our summer here with our kids. This hotel has everything we needed and the amazing time and service we had was above all our expectations. First, all the staff is very kind and helpful for any kind of requests we had. We understood this from our first discussion with Kostas, the reservation manager who is so kind and making sure every customer would be satisfied during their entire stay. Manos, the food and beverage manager is amazing as well, so is its entire team. The Italian restaurant Oliva is delicious and offers a large menu from delicious pastas, fresh caprese, seafood, meat, incredible cooked vegetables,… to make happy everyone. The breakfast is also great, everything we wanted was there! From the on-demand omelettes to the freshly baked crepes and pastries, fruits assortments, cooked meals, … everything. The bar restaurant is a so beautiful and quiet spot and offers the most beautiful view on the beach. There we could order all kind of snacks and play snooker. This spot is very representative of the hotel : a 5 stars hotel but no showing off :) Exactly what we love ! Best kids club. We have been in several kids club before and as parents, of course this is so important: happy kids, happy parents. Exactly as the entire staff of the hotel, the kids club staff is AMAZING, so good heart and giving their best to make the little guest happy. Our kids spent some time there almost every afternoon and had the best time ! They speak different languages but most of all, they speak the kids’ one perfectly. Very professional, very good people. Thanks Natalia and Veronica for the love you gave to our kids that love you so much. The animation team is great as well !! When we were in the mood of activities we could join the games and pool animations as well as the mini disco in the evening that the kids and we loved! The team gives all to make happy the clients and has so much energy !! The housekeeping is very good and very kind too. The nice beach offers water sports and we had the chance to make some jet sky and banana boat :) There is also a games corner and an area to play chests and many more kind of games. Fitness center, spa, several pools, some with animation, some for quiet times, one kid pool with little slides, tennis courts (and an amazing tennis teacher) We loved our time there and will be back as soon as possible
