Booked in for 3 nights during one of the largest conferences in Hamburg. For whatever reason, both the bar and the restaurant were closed for duration. This was stated at checkin, but no reason given. There are few restaurants or small shops in the immediate vicinity, though U-bahn is close by with just a few minutes travel to more central areas.
The rooms are not air conditioned and incredibly hot. An oscillating fan is provided, but there are insufficient power outlets to accommodate this without taking out the TV or bedside lamps.
The showerhead arrangement was precarious to use without flooding the bathroom, as it tended to want to fire in a particular direction in a very determined fashion.
Hotel, although with over 100 rooms on 7 floors, only has one small (and very slow) lift, also shared by housekeeping. Breakfast time in particular involved much waiting or use of stairs.
