Hotel Sebel

I enjoyed staying here. It was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, friendly staff, great air conditioning, a nice suite, and even a tiny little balcony. What was not so good was the bed had a topper which moved in the night, slipping to one side. Apart from a few snacks, there is no food in the hotel itself, but it's available across the road and down the street, so that was fine with us. Finally, the stairs. Typically, Dutch properties are tall and narrow with steep, twisting stairs. Our room 27 was on the 3rd, top floor. Carrying luggage was difficult and exhausting. Walking down was also troublesome because the steps are narrow and steep. It's a heritage property, so there is no lift. If anyone has mobility issues or big cases, I'd recommend asking for a lower floor. Photographs attached. Please understand The Hague is expensive for hotels, eating out etc.

Terrible time table for the staff, from 9 am till 7 pm and before and after that the computer apps are supposed to take over. There's no reception after 7 pm, so if you leave your luggage because you are too early (you can only check in after 3 pm !! to check in, be sure to be on time, otherways no luggage. The speaker - system on the front door is no help, it's a helpdesk far away. And every door opens only with a computer signal , provided in a mail you receive somewhere in the afternoon, and not immediately visible in the mail message. No keys or cards, this is another digital step which helps no one, but eliminates the staff after 7 pm. I definitely prefer somebody in the reception area, like I found in all the other hotels i visited this year (Paris, Luxemburg, Corfu, ...). I have stayed at Hotel Sebel 3 times for 3 weeks or more since January 2022 and will stay there again at the end of June. In this time work has started on tramline 16 but there are other bus or tram options in less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I have always had a room with a little bit more space and a kitchen, but the facilities in the main kitchen an also be used. From 7 am to 9pm you can have as much coffee as you like. Many restaurants are in the immediate area and an Albert Hein XL in 500 meters and a COOP in 200 meters. The rooms are comfortable and if anything is lacking you can ask reception. This hotel has become a home to me, because of its location and convenience and mostly its 5-star staff. Nothing is too much to ask of Achou and Dora. The other staff are well-trained, professional and helpful but I got to know Dora and Achou over email and from Covid-19 times. You won't regret staying here.

Receptionist are very polite and friendly. Rooms are small and with old style but clean. The best from the hotel it’s the stuff. And the a rounding area it’s also good, there you have many choices, restaurants, bars, cafeterias, supermarkets…

Sehr nettes und gemütliches Hotel,immer sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal , besonderer Gruß an dieser Stelle. Kaffee oder Tee von 7:00 bis 21:00 kostenlos erhältlich außerdem eine Microwelle die man benutzen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr ruhig, kein Straßenlärm oder Hauslärm zu hören. Sehr zentral gelegen, Parkhaus des Hotels ist in einer Nebenstraße ca, 2 min zu Fuß. Ein großer Supermarkt ist auch in der Nähe. Kleine Geschäfte sowie Bars sowie Restaurants in der Straße. Zum Strand ca 20min inklusive Straßenbahn. Tagesticket für Tram und Bus ca 7,40€ für Erwachsene. Gerne wieder .

Fijn hotel op klein kwartiertje lopen naar het centrum. Er rijdt ook een tram vlakbij. Het ligt in een leuke, gezellige wijk. Geen ontbijt maar dat is ook niet nodig met diverse eettentjes om de hoek. Beneden staat goede koffiemachine waar gratis gebruik van mag worden gemaakt. Ook een waterkoker op de kamer. Fijne kamer en goed bed.
