Hotels con internet a Haast

Inexpensive stopover between Hokitika and Wanaka. We stayed in the twin room which was fine for one night in motel style accommodation. Food options in Haast are limited (though there is a very useful supermarket in the township 2km away) so we walked to the Heartlands Hotel up the path from the motel and had a good meal there (whitebait fritters and fish and chips) using a 10% discount voucher available from the motel reception. If you want to do your washing here suggest you bring your own powder - our neighbour found they charge a fortune at reception for a larger packet than you will need.

L'hotel è situato nella piccola città di Hastt 120 chilometri a ovest del ghiaccio di Fox, adatto per andare a Fox Glacial o per vivere per una notte quando esce da Fox.La stanza è molto comoda e la finestra di terra può essere parcheggiata.Il colazione è classico colazione occidentale, non molto, ma il sapore è buono. Se vuoi uscire a cena, devi andare al centro della città a tre chilometri di distanza.Non ci sono strutture commerciali intorno all'hotel.

On our way from Fox Glacier to Lake Wanaka on 18 July 2022, the state highway beyond Haast was closed for 2 days due to fallen trees and flooding. My wife and I had no choice but to stay in Haast waiting the road to be reopened. We were luckily enough to have stayed at the Heritage Park Motel. Chris and his wife were the kindest hosts we had ever encountered. Chris kept checking for us the road status and even allowed us to stay beyond the usual check-out time free to wait for the latest news. After knowing we had to stay for one more night, he voluntarily offered us discount for the stay. We are truly grateful for their great assistance and care.
