Hotel in zona Cosy van Tutti Hats • Caps, Haarlem

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Haarlem, a good 35-minute walk to the central square. There is very little around it in terms of shops or cafes or restaurants. So calling it ”Haarlem City” is a bit of a stretch! It is a 12-minute walk (through a nice residential area) to Bloemendaal train station, which makes it quite easy to get to Amsterdam. Haarlem's main train station is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and good size. But (and this is a big but!) the hotel was built right next to a big sports centre and if your room faces north it will block your window as it is literally in front of it. This is a really poor design choice, it makes affected rooms feel claustrophobic. This is something the hotel should make clear at the time of booking. Parking in front of the hotel costs 7.5 Euros per night. Given its non-central location, you would expect parking to be free. So mixed feelings overall. Nice and spacious rooms, but the issues I mentioned above detract from the overall experience and value for money.

Wonderful hotel! Comfortable, good bed, nice bathroom. Even space is small, i didn’t feel that. Room was Very compact with wonderful sea view and Terras. It was very quiet area, we had nice breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Also free coffee, Thee and sweats at lounge!! We liked everything!!

The location is in a quiet area with easy access to areas of tourist interest. Very comfortable room with facilities and administrative services of a high-quality level. Appreciate the kindness and promptness of the service staff of the hotel restaurant. I will come back with pleasure every time I visit Haarlem.

Personale dell'hotel: gentile ma forse un po' impaziente al momento del check-in. Hanno chiesto il mio nome e voglio mostrare loro la mia prenotazione. Hanno semplicemente ripetuto ancora ”devi solo fornire il tuo nome”. Camera: molto accogliente, ordinata e pulita. Lo spazio non è molto grande ma sufficiente per 2 bagagli grandi e c'è ancora spazio per muoversi. E la scrivania è abbastanza grande da contenere tutti i miei prodotti per il viso e il trucco. Il bagno è pulito e l'acqua è abbastanza calda. E la doccia è buona e la zona doccia è abbastanza grande. Ma nessuna porta per la doccia che fa sì che l'acqua bagni il materasso e il bagno si bagni facilmente. È l'unica cosa che trovo non buona. Altri sono molto bravi. Il letto è molto comodo soprattutto dopo un'intera giornata in giro e stancarsi. Mi mancherà tantissimo il letto. Lobby: la lobby è spaziosa e il divano è comodo. Aspetto il treno lì. Ubicazione: molto vicino alla stazione ferroviaria di Zaandam, a pochi minuti a piedi. E impiega circa 15-30 minuti per raggiungere il centro, è molto conveniente. Il posto è tranquillo, riesco a dormire bene ogni notte.

Ho scelto questo hotel perché dovevo prendere un volo la mattina presto. In termini di dimensioni della camera, design, comfort e servizio, questo hotel ha superato quello vicino all'aeroporto di Schiphol con il nome dell'hotel che inizia con ”C”. L'unico svantaggio del Novotel è che bisogna prendere un autobus o un treno da Hoofddorp a Schiphol, il che non è affatto difficile, a meno che non abbiate molti bagagli. Soggiornerei nuovamente qui al Novotel, se necessario per essere vicino a Schiphol o Amsterdam.

Bellissimo castello, in un parco stupendo con tutto a disposizione. Camere comode e pulite con letti extracomodi, una qualità del sonno eccellente anche per la silenziosità dell'ambiente circostante. Personale professionale e gentilissimo. Eccezionale

Unfortunately a bit of a poor experience. Check-in took almost 50 minutes incl. being given wrong room type. Also the junior suite bookef was a bit in a poor condition; only one lounge chair, no extra table, shower was missing the door and saw some mold. All you can eat was great, Skybar disappointing. We had to wait quite long despite being hotel guests, the drinks took 45 minutes to arrive and after we couldn't order anymore. All together great time with the family but personally I would not recommend to stay here unless you're flying early the next day.

Stopped for breakfast before my appointment in Haarlem. Bus stops are directly before the hotel (you'll see grocerystore and a gas station) but you will need to walk to main traffic lights a few mminutes away (go to right when facing restaurant windows) and then turn left to get to main hotel entrance & parking - hotel is surrounded by a sort of moat. Thank you for the walking adventure Van der Valk😆 Once inside you can get to restaurant a floor above via escalator. Greeted by host - confusion over confirmmed reservation as it was not immediately visible. Quickly found and cleared up. My reservation was 08:30am on a Friday. Not really busy at this timme. Lots of window searing available. Huge windows so even if not directly seated ( on opposide across) you still have a ”window view”. Staff member clearing tables was off the bat -first to give greeting and friendly short banter. Breakfast buffet is unbelieavably i***ressive with a mmind boggling array: good coffees, juices, smmoothies and mmore than your standard buffet offerings. On top of this -fried eggs, omelets being prepared by cook station. Sparkling wine included if that is your thing. Sure is mmine!!! A fantastic deal for €18,50 per person! I was able to catch up with Anoushka -meeting & events staff!!! A wonderful and esteemed colleague - we worked together a few years back at a co***etiror hotel. So this in particular mmade mmy visit even mmore special! I can absolutely reccommend Restaurant Van der Valk in Haarlem as a goid deal for breakfast. As I go back and forth to Haarkem frequentky -I will mmake it a point to stop in mmore often - breakfat and lunch. Don't mmiss out!!!
