Questo è il primo e unico hotel-museo nelle Filippine ed è stata un'esperienza semplicemente fantastica. Il personale è accogliente, la posizione è perfetta, proprio dietro l'angolo da Calle Crisologo. C'è una piscina al centro dell'hotel, ma sfortunatamente abbiamo avuto maltempo durante il nostro soggiorno e non abbiamo potuto godercela. La camera è spaziosa e confortevole e la colazione è servita in stile ”à la carte”, invece che a buffet. Tutto è stato semplicemente molto piacevole e Vigan è un must per i visitatori nelle Filippine!

This was our second time to visit Vigan as a family and our first time to stay at Panadores De Vigan, and we are so very glad that we did! The staff are friendly and helpful from booking all the way to our departure. They even went out of their way to find out if the local coffee shop would be open since it was a holiday when we arrived. We were greeted with warm and friendly demeanor, and we were able to check-in earlier (1245PM). It's located near some of the popular tourist spots, restaurants yet it's quiet. We also did not hear any noise coming from the other rooms or guests. Our rooms were on the second floor. They were clean, pleasant, lots of room and complete with basic amenities. The bed was comfortable, and we had the best sleep during our stay. We had a minor issue with the bathroom, but it was immediately fixed. Our breakfast was served on time as requested. Our rooms were cleaned during our stay. Just a couple of minor improvements: The water pressure in the shower could be stronger and maybe have the bathroom door fixed (we had to push it really hard for it to close). Recommendation/Suggestion: Provide a water dispenser in the room for added comfort. Two water bottles were provided for free and refilled the next day, but it would be nicer to have access to a water dispenser inside the room rather than having to buy and carry water bottles from the store whenever we went out. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, and I definitely recommend them especially for families and big groups. By the way, they are right across the street from the famous First Sinangloa (they're open as early as 6AM). A few blocks from the public market where we bought bagnet and longganisa for our ”pasalubong”. The parking was a big plus! They have ample parking for their guests.

UUtente ospiteAbbiamo ricevuto l'aggiornamento al loro hotel principale, l'hotel principale (strada) è vicino a chiamare crisologo, l'hotel è un soggiorno obbligatorio se siete in Vigan, la camera d'hotel (reina) è grande, la pulizia globale è grande, il personale dell'hotel è tranquillo incomodando, le strutture erano fantastiche, IG dignitoso, se si è in arte e pittura, si è nel posto giusto, capolavori da Manansala, Juan Luna, Imao e altri 👌👌👌

UUtente ospiteHotel Mercante was such a great part of my fun, peaceful, safe, educational, and rejuvenating stay in Vigan (Jan. 29-31, 2024). I had been skeptical at first about the 4.5 (out of 5) average rating that the hotel has received so far from Trip Advisor reviewers. After all, there are many other more popular (higher-rated and understandably higher-priced) options for accommodations in the city. But having enjoyed the Hotel Mercante experience myself, I do recommend the place for no-fuss travelers like me, who simply want a safe, clean, quiet, and efficiently run hotel. More than the basic amenities, however, there is something truly commendable about the hotel’s staff and management, with their warmth, care, and professionalism. Of course, hotel employees are trained to smile and to be polite, helpful, and efficient. But in my interactions with the Hotel Mercante team, I sensed a sincerity and an unobtrusive desire to be of assistance that is beyond the call of duty. Early on (before I had even set foot in Vigan or met anyone there in person), I had been relieved and grateful for the prompt and kind email responses I got from Hotel Mercante while I was searching online for accommodation options. I had emailed other hotels, but the responses from HM (particularly, Solenn and Sofie, Front House Associates) were not only prompt but also written in the friendliest and most professional tone. They courteously and clearly answered all my email inquiries. They were also considerate enough to offer the best room-rate options available, which meant a lot to a 60-year-old solo traveler like me. I also had fun getting some quick lessons on basic Ilocano phrases from Stan (the night guard, who welcomed me when I arrived early in the morning) and Sean (front desk officer, though perhaps his position may be higher—I met him the day I was leaving). “Agyamanak, ading!” (Thank you, young man/woman) and “ag pagna pagna” (just strolling or walking around to relax and enjoy the sights) will, from now on, be part of the limited Ilocano vocabulary close to my heart. I am also grateful to Sarah (front desk), Steve (housekeeping), Paige (Cantina Mercante), Shea, Suzy, and others whose names I wasn’t able to get. For solo travelers and for families or groups, Hotel Mercante is value for your money. But most of all, it is value for your (even more precious) time and trust. It may not be the most popular or most expensive/trendy/classy hotel in Vigan, but all I really needed was a place for homey, clean, safe, quiet, reasonably priced and very conveniently located accommodations—with excellent service and heartwarming staff. And I definitely, thankfully, got all that at Hotel Mercante.

Ho chiesto a un calesa di guidarci intorno alla città, e hanno detto sì, hanno un contatto che ci prenderà al momento stabilito; e poi il tempo è arrivato e il calesa non è apparso, hanno chiamato il calesa guidatore e ha detto che ha un cliente. Quindi ha consigliato alle persone dell'hotel di dirci di andare a prendere Calesa al parco. Questo (servizio) sarebbe stato 5/5 se ci avessero immediatamente detto che è la stagione occupata, quindi non sappiamo se qualcuno può prendere te (e poteva averci consigliato di andare a prendere un calesa nel parco Burger dove c'è una stazione. Invece erano eccellenti!

BBillyRayRooms is for budget solo travelers and is quite small especially the shower area. Shower pressure was pretty much non-existing. No windows. For the price, I think it’s okay considering the location. WiFi is fast and smart TV. Complimentary breakfast was filling but if you are a heavy breakfast eater, you’ll definitely want to have another meal. Very helpful and courteous staffs.

We decided to stay here for the new year to escape Manila and the loud festivities. It was indeed quiet and that was nice. Staff was nice enough and helpful. Although at times it felt like they didn't really know what was going on most of the time. We asked if there were any new year activities planned and they said there weren't any. Which wasn't surprising since there were animals and loud noise would have scared them. But I would have at least expected some type of greeting the new year event at the restaurant for the guests. Like a small gathering and a countdown. Maybe some champagne or cider. But no. Nothing at all. There was also no explanation on the inclusions for the stay. Like how to feed the animals or tours. Nothing was offered. You had to ask them about it. The rooms were OK and clean. Comfy and the hot shower was working. But for some odd reason they didn't think to have phones in the room? You can't call the front desk or the restaurant. You have to physically walk there or call them with your own cellphone. Which was definitely frustrating. The pool was dirty. Looks nice in the pictures but there was grime and sludge in the pool. The food was so/so. So we decided not to order anything. The free breakfast was also so/so. Watery soup, watery juice, and the food itself was just pretty plain. They never fully filled the buffet area. They would only add a small amount whenever it was empty or near empty. So I was afraid that maybe if you get there a bit late they wouldn't refill the buffet and you'd be stuck with whatever was left. There was also no bread station or choices for drinks. No cereal and milk. Their free shuttle to Calle crisologo also only went up to 8pm for pick up. I mean that's like the bare minimum. That's when the fun begins really. So best to take your own vehicle instead. We didn't visit the Baluarte since it wasn't really explained to us and when we checked out we asked if it was still possible to get a tour with them and their golf carts/electric vehicles but they said no. They were charging and none was available. But honestly I think they just lied since we already checked out. So overall it was an OK stay since it was quiet and relaxing and I was with my family and kids and they enjoyed the animals. Would I stay again? Probably not unless someone else is paying. All the brochures made a big deal of the animals etc but they never really explained anything about it so it was just a regular hotel thing for me with random animals around.

UUtente ospiteIo e un amico ci siamo fermati per un giorno e pensavamo che non avremmo dovuto comprare un pasta dentale e un sapone, ma dovevamo coz fornirli solo un piccolo pasta dentale e un piccolo tubo di 3 in 1 shampoo/sap/condizionatore. Non basta per due persone che si prendono un bagno due volte al giorno e si spazzano i denti due volte anche. Il loro biancheria è piccolo anche per due adulti sottili. Il loro biancheria è solo per una persona con il loro pasta dentale e 3in1 sapone. Se vuoi un altro pacchetto, devi pagare.

HHersheyBello luogo per stare con la famiglia e ciò che ci piaceva più sono animali amici. I letti sono molto morbido e confortevole e il loro buffet colazione era delizioso. Il proprietario è molto accogliente, il personale è molto utile. A 2-3 minuti a piedi dalla Calle Crisologo. Certo, saremo di nuovo qui.Grazie.
