Hotel Wetterhorn

Without a doubt the worst hotel in all of Switzerland. They take rudeness to a whole other level. The staff seem like they have woken up on the wrong side of the bed everyday.

Whilst we said we would not return after a cold welcome last time we did pop by for a drink today and again we felt there has been no improvement. Restaurant was empty aside of a small group of locals. We found the staff not very helpful and will not return. We thought last time was a one off but clearly not.

It is the hotel that you pass when you walk from Meiringen to Grindelwald. We ordered drinks and had to wait for 30 min. The staff was cleaning first all the tables while the drinks were ready at the bar on a plate to be served. Never seen so much people waiting for a drink.

We have been visiting this restaurant for the past 40 years and last weeks visit was appaulling, We waited 25 mins to be served on the terrace. When the red headed lady did arrive we ended up getting served last as more people arrived in the time we were waiting! We ordered and when the coffees arrived we asked to pay contactless as we were at risk of missing our transport. She went off in a huff as she only had cash with her. She never returned! We went in after 10 mins and a lady behind the bar was clearly too busy to help. We eventually paid but was disgusted at how rude they two staff were, You may be short staffed but there is no reason to be rude to your customers. Your customers pay your salary so you would do well to respect them. After so many years visiting this establishment, we will not be returning! Too much healthy competition around them.

Wir gingen als Familie im Restaurant Wetterhorn essen. Wir hatten zur Vorspeise 2 mal Gemischtersalat und 1mal Rindszungen carpaccio gehabt das war alles noch in Ordnung. Dann mussten wir 1 Stunde auf den Hauptgang warten,die Kindern wurden langsam ungeduldig. Der Hauptgang war 2 mal Kalbscordonbleu einmal mit Rösti und einmal mit Pommes frites. Das Fleisch war sehr gut, doch das Gemüse kalt und angetrocknet und die Rösti aus dem Beutel und fettig. 2mal Heisserstein mit gemischtem Fleisch 1mal mit pommes frites und einmal mit Spätzli Das Fleisch hat übel gerochen und die Spätzli waren leider auch nicht Hausgemacht wie in der Karte geschrieben war. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich. Schad machen sie aus dem schönen Restaurant nicht mehr.

Wir waren zu dritt für ein Wochenende im Hotel Wetterhorn. Das zweistöckige Familienzimmer ist sehr sauber und geräumig. An beiden Abenden haben wir Im Restaurant gegessen. Das Essen war sehr fein und der Service freundlich. Spezialwünsche ( Züri Gschnätzlets ohni Pilz ) sind kein Problem. Auch das Frühstück ist absolut in Ordnung. Zum Terminal fährt der Bus direkt vor der Haustüre.
