La struttura esternamente é bellissima e molto curata, area piscina e giardino meravigliosi. La camera era molto spaziosa ma alcuni elementi d'arredo (comodini, scrivania e panca all'ingresso) erano datati. Avevo prenotato una camera classic ma ci hanno dato una camera deluxe facendoci credere di averci fatto un favore e invece così non é stato. Per raggiungere la camera, che si trovava al 5° piano bisognava fare 4 piani con un ascensore, poi percorrere un lungo corridoio e poi fare l'ultimo piano con un montacarichi di servizio. La nota dolente sono i servizi. In bagno é mancata tutti i giorni l'acqua, più di una volta siamo rimasti sotto la doccia e abbiamo dovuto apsettare che si ricaricasse il serbatoio dell'acqua per il riasciacquo: una cosa inaccettabile per qualsiasi albergo, a maggior ragione per un 4 stelle. Il personale oltre che scusarsi non é stato quasi mai in grado di risolvere celermente il problema. Oltretutto neanche hanno cercato di compensare la mancanza in qualche modo, non so magari offrendo un calice di vino, invece abbiamo pagato tutto fino all'ultimo centesimo. L'area spa é piccola, il bagno turco chiuso e la sauna, che dovrebbe essere sempre fruibile per i clienti, a volte é spenta. Alcuni degli asciugamani forniti per la piscina sono logori e strappati, altra cosa assolutamente inaccettabile per un 4 stelle. Sconsiglio la cena a bufffet, é un servizio mensa di basso livello, inadeguato per un hotel di quel livello. La colazione é buona, ricca e varia. Il personale é molto gentile e disponibile ma evidentemente poco formato. La struttura ha grandi potenzialità ma c'é molta strada da fare. Tornerei solo per l'ampiezza della stanza, la colazione e l'area piscina.

What a fabulous week I have just had with my family! The villas and the surrounding area is stunning and myself, husband and three children loved it. The villa is beautiful and is absolutely huge and has everything you need for your stay - Iron, hair dryer etc. Upon arrival your villa is stocked with shampoo, shower gel, enough toilet roll for the week etc and in the kitchen, some dishwasher tablets and cloths. We was in a three bed, three bathroom villa and when I say massive, they are! Each room had a modern feel to it and the glass walkway across the top floor and floating staircase added to that. It did seem clean when we arrived but I will say we found odd dummies etc around the villa during our stay so it can’t have been as thoroughly cleaned as we thought. You do get bath and pool towels provided and these was changed by a cleaner who came in once during our stay and cleaned around. The pool area was lovely, albeit a bit cold but this can’t be helped. You did feel safe in the villa as to get on the complex you have to pass security but all the locks are by an electric keycard, I would of felt much safer if I had a chain lock or a physical lock so I knew 100% it was locked. This was the same for the basement door which led to the underground car park and front door, you never felt like they was locked. Only thing I would consider with these villas is if you have young children you can not relax, or I felt I couldn’t. The staircase would of been better with a retractable gate as you could just walk around the staircase from coming in the front door and if you have a toddler whose wanting to run round etc they would fall the two flights down to the basement. It’s hard to explain - sorry should of took pictures. The area is really nice and quiet and the complete opposite to the centre of albufeira we visited one day and I’m so glad we chose to stay in this area. The beach is a 5/10 walk away and the waters clean and the sand clean. You can hire beds and umbrellas and if you walk further down the beach there’s a couple of snack bars open. There is a grocery shop 5/10 min walk away the other way from the villas that stocks almost anything you would need for your holiday. We ended up using Ubers all week to get to zoomarine, the marina and central Albufeira to name a few. We needed an XL Uber but the most we paid was about €18 each way, they was super quick and every time came to the villa entrance in a couple of minutes. We did eat out every night but our favourite was Scenarium, we also tried Primadonna (which was in the nearby hotel), Bellavita and Ramires. Ramires was about a 20 min drive away but is a real authentic peri chicken restaurant. You don’t get a menu just plates of chicken, fries and salad. Lots of locals in, definitely should go there to try. We also ordered 2 meals on Uber eats as we got in late but they took hours to arrive and wasn’t that good. We stayed here for a week commencing Saturday 06 May 2023 (2 couples). This is a really nice hotel with plenty of space, and the whole resort is spotlessly clean. We were welcomed on arrival by some very friendly staff. We arrived about 11.30am, but the rooms were not to be available until 16:00. However, if I gave my mobile number, they would call me as soon as they were ready. We went off for a drink at the Pool bar and received the call about 13:00...excellent. Our room was a Garden/Pool view room (with partial sea views). As far as I am aware, this was a standard room. The room was huge, and had ample storage space. Very comfortable king size bed. Rain shower with separate toilet with bidet. Kettle with coffee and tea (decaffeinated coffee available from reception). There is also a small fridge. The balcony has two seats and a table. Daily maid service. Towels and bed-linen changed at request. Our package was Half Board which meant that breakfast and lunch was taken in the Ocean Buffet restaurant. There was one other Restaurant available: Prima Donna Restaurant (more on this later). The food in the buffet restaurant was very good with plenty of choice and good quality (It's hard to produce excellent quality on this scale). The service staff in this restaurant were also very good and attentive. The Pool Bar, which is only open during the day, is an al-la-carte restaurant serving a good range of very good food. Good service and friendly staff. You can order as little as 1 bucket of chips, and also share meals. We found this a food way of keeping the cost of meals down at lunchtime, when we didn't require much anyway. Prima Donna restaurant: This is offered as an alternative to the Buffet in the evening. The hotel will allow you €15.00 per person against the cost of the menu. For us, this restaurant was very disappointing as there is very little by way of an Italian atmosphere. The food was OK, but not worth spending the extra on. The staff inn here were, in my view, pretty inexperienced and without the personality you might expect in an Italian restaurant. This is definitely an area where the hotel could do better. There is a small amount of entertainment which takes place three nights a week in the lobby bar. The guitarist on Monday was quite good, the female singer on Wednesday was really good, and the male singer on Thursday (I think) needed to inject a bit more feeling and life into his act. The bar service in this area was usually slow, saved only by the personality of the barmen. Special praise should go to Carlos Santos who was always attentive and with a great personality. There is an excellent beach about 10 minutes from the hotel alnog a wooden walkway. I have two complaints: The cost of the drink was on a par with what you would purchase on George Street in Edinburgh. The other is that water should be provided free of charge in a resort like this, as water is an essential part of this type of holi

L'hotel è situato a 15 minuti di cammino da Albufeira, ma è la prima volta che abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel e non sarà la nostra ultima. È solo 5 minuti in taxi nella città antica e molto vicino ai bar di Oura.Abbiamo trovato la pulizia e il servizio sono molto buoni, puliti di tovaglioli ogni giorno e cambiamenti regolari se il letto è di letto. Anche il colazione è buona senza scelta. Non abbiamo usato la piscina perché era così occupata.Non abbiamo potuto ottenere letti solari, ma questo è dovuto principalmente agli ospiti che li hanno riservati, che è annoiante e non dovrebbe essere davvero consentito. A nostro avviso, la zona della piscina è abbastanza piccola per ospitare il numero di ospiti che vi soggiornano, soprattutto perché gli appartamenti vicini possono utilizzare anche le strutture. L'hotel è bello quando si cammina in porta ma il resto dell'hotel è data. Necessita di un rivamp totale. La stanza è pulita e ben attrezzata con frigorifero, microonde, caldaia e lavastoviglie e tutti gli utensili, ma senza condimenti. Molto rumore da un sacco di uomini che si battono alle porte a tardi di notte e voce alta. C'è un totale di 5 piastrelle nella stanza, solo uno che ha funzionato e questo è quello per la caldaia il resto è stato nascosto da mobili e probabilmente la ragione per cui sono nascosti non funzionano, quindi è stato un incubo se avete bisogno di elettricità per più di 1 piastrelle. Con un adolescente era tortura. Eravamo a metà tavola, ma il cibo non era grande, la selezione era scarsa di 4 opzioni calde. Carne, gambe di pollo, pasta con salsa separata e un pezzo di merluzzo. Provato il ristorante due volte e aveva le stesse opzioni entrambe. Quindi non sprecare i vostri soldi a metà tavola. Molti bellissimi ristoranti vicino. Molto consigliare Clay forno che è indiano prima di arrivare al ***** e Giardino d'oro cinese al fondo del *****. Tutti e due cibi erano fantastici. La piscina ha molte sale solari ma la piscina era congelata, c'è un tetto con una macchina di vendita come il bar. Abbiamo provato la piscina interna che era piacevole, perché è leggermente più calda, ma è fatto per indossare una capsula da doccia che forniscono 4 euro, non capire perché non è impermeabile e il cappello fornito è lontano da appiattire. ***** è a 5 minuti di distanza e la vecchia città è a 25 minuti a piedi entrambi piacevole passeggiata. Abbiamo fatto il meglio della nostra vacanza e abbiamo usato l'hotel come base, sono stato a Albuferia 6 volte ora e tornerò ma ad un altro hotel

Really enjoyed our stay here! Fantastic location, lovely staff and had everything you need for a great stay. Around 1 min walk to the marina where there are plenty of bars/restaurants and a 25 min drive from the airport. We had breakfast included which was also nice and the staff couldn’t do enough. Wouldn’t think twice about returning if we ever came back the area.

Posizione ottima per l’accesso al mare (spiaggia di Albufeira ) e alle scogliere . Centro raggiungibile in 15m attraverso la spiaggia ma anche con un bus navetta gratuito fornito dall’hotel. Bella piscina ( freddina per la stagione ) .Ottima colazione e buffet abbastanza variabile con orari prolungati.Struttura un po’ datata in particolare la camera ( climatizzatore dei vicini un po’rumoroso e necessità di qualche revisione)

Fantastic short holidays at the Pestana Viking Hotel, The location is privileged, nearby the beaches and the sea view is amazing. The swimming pools, sauna,gym and garden at the premises are a challenge to enjoy the stay. Very good staff and opportunity to do a boat trip to see the dolphins and the natural caves of the coast rocks. Highly recommended.
