Hall Farm Hotel and Restaurant

As a local resident, I've been here many times. Food is good and staff are pleasant. However, we get turned away more often than allowed to dine recently with the excuse they are full. Tonight there were about 10 other people in the restaurant so just seems they can't really be bothered. We went elsewhere where they were more than happy for our custom. Won't be returning in a hurry unfortunately.

my husband and myself went for our Sunday lunch, the staff were pleasant and helpful, unfortunately some of the food was disappointing; my husbands roast beef was good but he had to ask the waitress to pour some gravy off his plate, apart from not liking a lot of gravy it was swimming in it, the rest of the meal he enjoyed. I requested roast chicken ,chorizo and veg, it arrived in a bowl filled with mixed leaves and many many quartered tomatoes, some potatoes and some rubbery chorizo with some sort of watery warm gravy. the chicken was dry. suffice to say , I could only eat a small amount; most of it I left. A young waiter did come over during the meal and asked if everything was ok, and when I told him about my meal he was very apologetic . when my husband settled the bill he mentioned about my meal served in a bowl and said I hadn't eaten much and was told that I should have asked for a plate, there was no mention of my earlier complaint to the waiter. we were charged full price.

Have often passed this restaurant whilst out cycling with my friend so decided it was time to check it out. Wasn't disappointed. We both had delicious meals at reasonable price. Waiter was friendly and surroundings very pleasant. My husband's has his birthday soon, so will definitely be making another booking. Just one thing could have improved experience - cycle bars (not racks) to lock bikes to). Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Stayed just one night on business and wish I could have stayed longer. Really nice location. All the rooms have names rather than numbers which is nice. The pie of the day was steak and kidney. This was easily the best pie I have ever had. Big chunks of steak. Truly amazing. The room was really big and very clean. Would definitely stay there again if I'm working in the area again. Recommend

Took advantage of the dinner B n B for my birthday, glad we did. Easy and swift check in, Room on the ground floor with a 4 poster bed. Lovely clean and well presented room with large bathroom, double ended bath. Evening meal chosen from the menu, 3 courses, superb!. I had the belly pork starter, to die for! Loads of choice for breakfast, My wife had kippers, I had salmon, just the ticket after the evening meal. Really enjoyed the stay, thanks to all the staff. Will definitely be back. .

There was nothing you could find fault with this hotel, would highly recommend to anyone. Food excellent . the restaurant best food we have eaten out in a long time, staff friendly, & rooms very comfortable . If we're in the area again we will stop here
