The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points.
The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself.
Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

The stay at this Hotel was amazing. Vikesh and Michael where the two managers and upgraded our rooms because we had a small problem with our original room. the wait staff where amazing Raj,Shanish and Minesh kept me well hydrated. Ryan and Lenado where our fantastic waitors. They have a brilliant chef Adhil that served 5 star and Michelin quality food. i would recommend this hotel to any travllers. it is a short distance from Grand Baie central that you can catch a taxi or take a walk too. the nicer beaches are also a short drive away.there are a few average beaches within walking distance

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel, io e mio marito, e ci siamo trovati davvero bene. Personale accogliente, super disponibile. Hotel pulito e situato in un posto tranquillo . All’inizio ci avevano dato una camera in cui si respirava un cattivo odore per via del bagno, ma appena esposto il problema hanno provveduto a sostituircela con un’altra migliore, anche se il cattivo odore, ogni tanto, veniva emanato anche dal bagno della successiva camera (questa è l’unica nota negativa che mi sento di dire). Per il resto, personale gentile ed accorto a tutti i tuoi bisogni, cibo cucinato davvero bene e di qualità, colazione fantastica con vista mare!! Lo consiglio ;)

Although I do agree some upgrades could be made, it never took anything away from our holiday. My husband and I had the time of our lives and we were treated like royalty. All of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and their service is top notch. Some of the team that took extra special care of us were Jean Francois, Manesh, Fabrice and Sunshine. Thank you so much for making our experience so special. We also had the most amazing food, which was a treat. Thank you Luli for our clean and tidy room every day. There are people who weren't happy that the hotel isn't on the beach and a road has to be crossed to get there. This also did not take anything away from our experience. We are hoping to go back in around two years and wouldn't change anything.

Our stay was short and we’ve had a very good time there. Nice hotel, quick check in, very clean, welcoming staffs, good food as well, a big thanks to Vikesh and his team, especially at the bar. Surely, will go back again. Keep it up guys! Mehenaz

Incredibly welcoming staff and the dining staff and room staff were equally proficient. The menu was imaginative and well executed. Nothing was a problem for the staff who were extremely helpful. The rooms were very spacious. The roof top restaurant and bar a delight!

Ocean V surpassed all our expectations from a warm reception to an exceptional week where we were pampered and spoilt by all staff. The staff were so good that it's difficult to single out individuals. Housekeeping maintained the rooms with care and dedication; the staff at reception were absolutely courteous and helpful. The team at the Rooftop restaurant was fantastic - every need and request was met with a smile. Adhil took care of all our dietary needs with a smile, spoiling us with delicious Mauritian cuisine. All I can conclude with is that Ocean V is a hotel "par excellence."

I had very great time at ocean v .i was in a day package.the hotel is really cozy with great staff, they did welcome my family with great manners with the visit at the hotel, felt really special being here and a special mention to pritika. thank you for the warm welcome
