Meare Manor

An older venue but with comfortable bed and good breakfast. The shower in our room #2 had no pressure and the head loose so not fit for purpose. We were told, by way of excuse, of low water pressure from the mains but water from adjacent taps was fine. We also had a broken chair in that room.

We stayed here for only 1 night during our travels thru England and it was very nice. Graham was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and he showed us to our room in the Arthur Wing of this beautiful, old manor house. Our room was a bit dated in appearance but was spacious and comfortable. The bed and linens were very nice. The ensuite bathroom was bright and roomy but the shower was a bit tricky to operate with regards to regulating the water temperature and I burned my hand slightly. The breakfast served here was outstanding. It is made to order and features a varied selection of continental and cooked options, which were all delicious and plentiful. The location worked great for us to explore Glastonbury and Wells and we could see how this B&B would make a good central base from which you could do daytrips. The ease of car parking was an added bonus for us. We would recommend staying here. A couple of minor grumbles from our stay include the less than ideal lighting in the bathroom and the thin walls in which we could hear the adjacent occupants talking.

Very friendly hosts. Very Spacious room with 2 windows, great air flow, fluffy pillows and really nice linens. Quiet and just a hop away from town. Lovely drawing room and excellent breakfast custom made. Graham was so helpful. We felt very welcome. We’ll be back!

We had an absolute fantastic time staying here our hosts sue and Graham were honestly such lovely people we has a lovely room tea coffee facilities comfortable bed and a really nice large balcony looking out over the Somerset levels The Manor is very homely and we felt very very welcome Graham and sue provide such a fantastic breakfast fantastic fruit salad lovely coffee local apple juice lovely full English We also had the smoked haddock with poached eggs We wouldn't hesitate to stay at meare manor again 4 nights for us wasn't enough loads to do in this area Glastonbury cheddar Wookey hole we just didn't want to leave Keep up your fantastic work Graham and sue 👏 👍

The best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in plenty of 5 star hotels around the world. The beds were really comfortable and the white Egyptian cotton bedding was fresh and clean adding to the comfort of the bed. Graham and his wife Sue couldn't do enough for us. I highly recommend this Hotel even though its looking a little worn out the place is clean and the service and hospitality second to none.

My friend and I stayed for one night, would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is lovely and clean, the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. Plus my friend was able to take her dog. Nothing seemed too much trouble, our hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. The breakfast was awesome. Plenty of places to park and a short drive from a decent pub (The Duck at Burtle). Would highly recommend if visiting Glastonbury, but you do need your own transport.
