Excellent stay at East Indies, from the friendly and courteous staff to the building itself which is rich in history, this is a great place to stay

We were not told how to get a hot shower. We were not told there was no hot water in the shower unless you turn a switch outside the room. My partner had a cold shower and was miserable. No window in room. No bedside table for my partner so nowhere to puta glass of water or phone. No hot breakfast. Only cold and small selection of food at breakfast. Terrible reception service. Awful attitude of staff. They act like you're an inconvenience. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in.

Room is comfortable. Service is excellent. Breakfast is good. Centralised location. But parking is difficult during the day as location near Indian street.

在小印度區域裏面，環境蠻好，店家很熱情很好聊天。 旁邊去娘惹博物館很近，每天的早餐都不重樣很好吃。 就是房間陽光不太好，需要去屋外有天井。

Esperienza da rifare. Hotel molto curato e pulitissimo dentro una casa tipica molto bella. Staff gentilissimo e disponibile per qualsiasi necessità. Ottima posizione nel centro storico e vicino a tutti i migliori ristoranti/caffè/pub. Da ritornarci assolutamente

Il posto è veramente bellissimo e molto curato. Lo staff è eccezionale. La nostra camera era molto grande e pulita, i letti comodissimi. Colazione super abbondante con caffè americano, toast, cornetti, dolci, yogurt, succo di frutta e frutta fresca. La ragazza che lo gestisce e prepara anche le colazioni, ci ha offerto l'opportunità di avere, il secondo giorno, una colazione tradizionale dim sum. Veramente un posto super consigliato. Non è particolarmente economico, ma vale la cifra che si spende.

Their visit this year and never can get enough of this beautiful mansion. Highly recommend you ask staff abt bespoke tour options as well such a nature walks on the hill, visits to Spice Garden or bicycle rides in countryside. They can arrange for you! Of course they know all the excellent dining options in town too! Excellent service at hotel with the most attentive staff in town!!

A House full of Nayang (South East) vibe with the style of decorations. All the crew members are friendly, hospitable and attentive at all times, just like a butler at your own home. The rooms are spacious and the high ceiling with the Nayang style big fan make you more chilled and comfy at your stay.

This charming establishment offers a delightful retreat to old world Penang, with clean and well-maintained rooms that provide a peaceful haven despite being nestled in a bustling part of town. The friendly staff add to the warm ambiance, making guests feel right at home. When you step out, you are immediately into a vibrant area teeming with attractions. The only downside was the challenging street parking especially during the day. For families that need access to a TV and a room safe, these are not available, but made no difference to our stay. So despite these small inconveniences, the overall experience was great. We would definitely return as a family. Our stay was truly memorable and thoroughly enjoyed.

We just loved Georgetown and this is a beautiful and distinctive boutique heritage hotel just on the edge of bustling Little India. Perfect place for exploring - we stayed three nights but should have been longer. Next time! The restoration is amazing and atmospheric Highly recommended and great value.

Such an amazing hotel!! The staff was very attentive and thoughtful. When we weren’t able to have breakfast on our last day they packed us some to go bags for the plane. The hotel itself is beautiful and historical. Location is great- easily walkable to all the main attractions. They also have amazing air conditioning which was very important in the Malaysian heat! I could not recommend staying here more!

What a wonderful hotel, we loved our stay here. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful with a calming ambience. The rooms are traditional and spacious with everything you need for your stay and the public areas are perfect just to sit and relax. The staff are friendly and attentive and , at breakfast, it was like having a personal chef ! We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return some day. Great location to enjoy Georgetown & Penang area. Exemplary staff who pay attention to details and anticipates needs well. Wi-Fi is there but mostly accessed in the open areas. Room was always refreshed when we returned from activities.
