Totally disappointed with my experience. While I appreciated the fabulous location and the kindness of most staff members, the food was the main issue. Due to the remote setting, we had limited dining options: a buffet at the main restaurant or menu selections at the bar. Over the course of two lunches and one dinner from the simple menu at the bar, we faced excessively long wait times. The food was poorly prepared—overly deep-fried, with pizza that had a raw base, stale vegetables and cold fries. Additionally, the waitress service was lacking; there were no checks on our meals or drink refills, and I had to approach the counter each time to settle the bill. Our feeling was we were being ignored because it was quite apparent the food was substandard. Given the lack of alternative dining options, we resorted to snacks like crisps and chocolates from the shop to supplement our meals. I did bring my concerns to the night manager. It’s unfortunate, especially considering I’ve heard similar feedback from other guests. I can only assume that we must be visiting during a low season for there to be such significant issues. The resort as a whole seems tired. Kids climbing frames, cycle tracks etc. giving insight to precious good times now apprising to be long gone. That said the excursions for the cable car/ sloth sanctuary were good and well organised.
