Hotel con colazione inclusa a Galle

Ho avuto la fortuna di soggiornare in questo bellissimo albergo a Giugno, durante prime tre notti di un recente, indimenticabile viaggio in Sri Lanka. La posizione è semplicemente spettacolare: a breve distanza di tuk tuk dal centro di Galle (circa tre km), l’hotel si affaccia su un ampio tratto di mare e dal vasto e curato giardino dotato di due scenografiche piscine, dai ristoranti e dalle camere che si snodano in modo armonico nella proprietà, si godono viste meravigliose. Nell’intera struttura, progettata dal leggendario architetto Geoffrey Bawa, si percepisce la ricerca del connubio fra raffinatezza e natura che permette di vivere tante piccole suggestioni: per esempio consumare un’ottima e varia prima colazione seduti ad un tavolo in prossimità della scogliera sferzata dalle onde, osservando l’indolente camminata di un varano mentre si è a propria volta osservati da un King Fisher, sono esperienze che ti rimangono dentro. La suite in cui alloggiavamo era molto grande e vivibile, arredata con gusto e dotata di idromassaggio in bagno e di una vasca esterna affacciata sul mare; la pulizia è sempre stata impeccabile. Il personale ha dimostrato una calda professionalità, disponibilità e cortesia; un particolare encomio va allo staff del ristorante specializzato in cucina di pesce, dove si sono prodigati per soddisfare ogni richiesta speciale e offrirci due cene squisite (con una menzione speciale per il capo sala Janapriya). Davvero non riuscirei a immaginare un altro hotel, per un prossimo soggiorno a Galle…

L' Heritance Ahungalla est situé à environ 85 km au sud de Colombo , 120 km de l'aéroport international et une cinquantaine de Gallé . Pour venir ou repartir de l'hotel la direction propose des taxis avec tarifs fixés en US $ mais payables en rupees (ou en € si on veut) au chauffeur , 68$ pour l'aéroport , 35$ pour Colombo. L'hotel est voisin du Riu , si vous hésitez entre les deux hotels la comparaison est vite faite , d'un coté le Riu un immense complexe moderne mais sans aucun charme et de l'autre un hotel entouré d'arbres dans un grand jardin le long de la plage , entre les deux l'Heritance est certainement le bon choix. Les chambres sont spacieuses et ont toutes une terrace , les rangements sont suffisants , la television propose deux chaines en Français (TV5 , FR24) , par contre elle ne sont pas très bien insonorisées ...on entend la musique des voisins. L'hotel possède deux très belles piscines suffisamment grandes pour bien nager , il y a des transats en nombre suffisant autour des piscines ou sous les arbres du jardin , une des piscine est calme car pas d'animation ni de jeux de ballons . On a parfois la visite de petits singes dans les arbres du jardin autour de la piscine. On accède directement à une grande plage mais la baignade dans l'océan est plutôt réservée aux bons nageurs car il y a toujours des vagues . Le restaurant principal a un buffet très varié avec beaucoup de cuisine locale toujours très pimentée mais très bonne, Pour aller visiter Gallé le mieux est de prendre un taxi de l'hotel , pour 30$ le chauffeur vous transportera A/R et vous attendra sur place ; il y a bien une gare sur la ligne Colombo-Gallé pas très loin de l'hotel mais les horaires ne sont pratiques. pour un A/R en demi journée. Cet hotel m'a beaucoup plu , le personnel est très gentil , je pense y retourner .

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ceylon Olive! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. Kumudu, the owner, was incredibly helpful and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. The pool was a standout feature – beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, making it a very comfortable stay. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff’s friendly and accommodating nature truly elevated the experience. If you’re looking for a place with amazing amenities and exceptional service, I highly recommend Ceylon Olive. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay in The Mango House, Galle was short but sweet. The staff there were responsive to our needs during our stay. A lovely boutique hotel centrally located inside the Fort area with all sights within an easy 5 min walk. The room we had was well appointed; aircon very good, nice bedding and a fantastic power shower. The breakfast provided was very good. I particularly enjoyed my mixed fruit platter and Egg Benedict. All in all a very comfortable stay. We would highly recommend to anybody planning to stay in Galle.

This was the second stop on this island, and we were very lucky with the choice of this Hotel. A wonderful room, everything is thought out and done with taste.Comfortable. We were very warmly welcomed here. The people was very helpful and unobtrusively helped us. incomparable breakfasts, specially selected for you. A hospitable place that we didn't want to leave and stayed here for a while longer. we highly recommend visiting this hospitable and kind people

This place is seamless and standards are absolutely as expected from a property of this calibre. The rooms and common areas are immaculate and put together beautifully. Thoughtful details such as complimentary afternoon tea, happy hour in the bar and a la carte breakfast makes this place a cut above. The pool area is a tasteful, calm and immaculate oasis in the middle of the bustling fort. Staff are top notch, fluent English speakers and aware of the customer service needs of their clientele. The property itself is stunning and carefully restored with original features throughout in keeping with the heritage regulations of the fort. There is also a free guided tour/heritage walk of the fort with an expert archaeologist who has worked with planning permissions and renovating many of the buildings in recent years. It was a pleasure speaking with him and learning more about the unesco site. Sugath the head chef came to speak with me personally when I requested more local Sri Lankan cuisine and made me an exquisite bespoke lunch which was the absolute highlight of my trip. Avi and Lihini also went above and beyond to ensure we had our comforts met. Thank you all! We very much look forward to returning here on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

Hotel molto confortevole e pulito. Personale molto disponibile. Camere molto spaziose e ampio bagno, letto molto comodo. Unico inconveniente non c’era molta acqua calda ma con le temperature esterne così alte non era un gran problema. Siamo rimasti solo una notte.
