Hotel in zona Yamanashi Gem Museum, Fujikawaguchiko

This is a decently nice, large ryokan-style hotel but it feels a bit old and shabby like a pre-bubble hotel which is past its glory days. The location was a lot more isolated than we were expecting, you really should have a car if you stay here as there is little in the immediate area and it's a decently long walk to the rest of town. I strongly disagree with the ”good for walkers” walkability rating that Tripadvisor gives it. The car does offer a free shuttle four times a day to Kawaguchiko station though which is nice. The rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) were ryokan style with tatami and futons. Both me and my companion found the futons very difficult to sleep in. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of my nights and woke up sore even after requesting an extra futon for support. The public onsen on the fourth floor was very nice and in my opinion quite large. Lastly, the WiFi ranged from terrible to passable. It would vary a bit from hour to hour but was often nearly unusable. This is not a ”bad” hotel by any means, just know what you're getting into. This place probably was more impressive back in the day but today feels slightly run down and not very modern.

The location of the hotel is fantastic for sunset viewing. There is plenty of parking across the road, with a surfeit of basically unnecessary staff. We had a reasonable-sized room with large windows and a wonderful panorama of the lake and Mount Fuji. That's all that's positive. The hotel is in two parts: the original building and an annexe. It is NOT suitable for wheelchair users trying to get to a restaurant. There are too many steps, twists and turns. There are lifts to find rooms in part A or part B, and the locations of the onsens (which switch between male and female every day - nice views, though). The signage is rare and confusing. As a stocky European (100Kg), I had immense difficulty sleeping on a very thin futon. The electric heater in the room blasts an unhealthy stream of hot air. Switch off this health risk and you FREEZE (we were there in late October). The hotel is relatively expensive, so you'd expect quality rooms. What you get is the uniform Japanese army-style sp****, goose**** green-walled room that you'd find in business hotels at half the room rate of this laughingly named 'NEW CENTURY' place. Minimalist, to say the least (in reality, pinched, lacking in generosity and well-being). At least there was a fridge (with a freezer icebox!!) In a series of measures as a response to the risks of COVID, there were no real glasses - just paper cups, and a message asking you to close the toilet lid before flushing. Disappointingly, the toilet was untypically low quality - no little hand-washing basin and fountain on the top of the toilet, and thus no towel in the toilet itself. (So, mucky hands grasping two sets of door handles to wash your hands. How's that for customary Japanese hygiene?) We (a group of 13 people - I was the only gaijin...) had booked an evening meal, room and breakfast the next morning. Dinner? Again, for the price, you'd expect a nice piece of fish (probably from the lake) right? NO way. We got a few bits of sukiyaki, and mean little dishes with bits and pieces of this and that... I've eaten MUCH better food in izakayas and bars throughout Japan. My opinion was echoed by most of our party. Breakfast was below ordinary. Simple, plain, dull. Something to dispense with quickly. Taking fuel on board, that's all. The service in the restaurant was desultory (= awful, ungracious). During dinner, a stocky old lady granted me the opportunity to be bumped TWICE by her capacious bottom as she served the person next to me. I complained and pushed back, to the accompaniment of giggles from her lithe, unobtrusive colleagues. Mercifully I was spared any further encounter with this voluminous rear end at breakfast. The staff at breakfast time were a) limited in number b) slow and c) VERY detached. One had the feeling they were cleaning staff put into waiting uniforms. Per person, we paid over 13,000 yen. Frankly, an outrageous price. The ONLY benefit was the view. For that, you don't need a hotel room. A bus tour will

Questo hotel dispone di 3 isolati, come si trova in una collina. Il primo blocco contiene il lobby, poi al quinto piano si collega al blocco centrale (che si trova direttamente a Fuji) e contiene camere sui piani 6-7th. Contiene anche la zona di balneazione con vista sul monte Fuji. Dal blocco medio, il 8° piano si collega all'ultimo blocco contenente livelli 8-10. Questo blocco ha una vista su Fuji, ma è necessario guardare la finestra in un guasto. Le camere sono scorrete e l'hotel sembra essere bloccato nel 1970s. Cortina sono tintate, le pareti hanno marchi, le pareti del corridoio sono stucco. Le schermate di Shoji nella stanza hanno carta torciata. Il singolo sembra sporco. Le superfici di legno sono indossate. I finiti della stanza potrebbero certamente servire un po' di riparazione e di amore. Tuttavia, è decente e mi sentivo ancora comodo per il mio soggiorno. Alloggi in camera: 4/5 Valutazione - La camera è molto pulita, spaziosa e semplice. Ho la stanza di stile giapponese tatami di fronte a Mt. Fuji. Senta come una legittima esperienza giapponese. Il bagno e la strada di entrata sono piccoli. Mangiare: 5/5 Valutazione - Il cibo a buffet incluso è stupendo! Questo è di gran lunga uno dei migliori buffet che abbia mai avuto in un po'. E' semplice e niente di pazzesco, ma la qualità del cibo è sorprendentemente buona. Servizio: 4/5 Valutazione - Permette il check-in dei bagagli. Grande servizio di navetta per e da aree chiave a Kawaguchiko. La competenza inglese è di medie a bassa. Il personale parla inglese limitato.

Una spaziosa villa, completamente attrezzata con tutto il necessario per godersi una vacanza. La reception è meravigliosa, ricca di informazioni e ben organizzata. Puoi gustare il pasto nella sala da pranzo che si affaccia sul Fujiyama senza alcun ostacolo. Il pacchetto includeva una cena barbecue, una bottiglia di vino rosso, vino bianco, bevande frizzanti e birra. Senza problemi. Una scelta davvero buona per un soggiorno di relax in famiglia con una vista eccellente sul Fujiyama.

La colazione è un normale buffet. Ci sono caffè, latte, tè, succhi di frutta freschi e vari tipi di pane. Principalmente cibo occidentale, carne, uova, pesce e varie verdure e frutta. La posizione dell'hotel sembra ancora un po' scomoda per i turisti che non guidano. Di fronte all'hotel c'è Fuji-Q Highland, dove c'è una fermata dell'autobus che collega le varie attrazioni del Lago Kawaguchi, del Lago Yamanaka, del Lago Ovest e della stazione di Kawaguchiko. C'è un biglietto di un giorno e di due giorni per la stazione. La stazione ha caratteri cinesi.

The hotel was so clean, the service by the concierge was so friendly and approachable. Helped us to push and carry our luggage till our room door. The convenience stalls nearby made breakfast and supper a perfect go to! It was a good stay nearby the onsen which has free access for staying guests! The carpark was just located downstairs that you could also see your car! Love the visit! And will want to come back again!

Stayed at this accomodation one night. Room had no power to begin with, and staff had to scramble to fix the issue. Not a good first impression. Room was passable but staff are, quite frankly, terrible - trying to communicate with any of the staff even for simple requests (like trying to arrange a taxi) was like pulling teeth. It was advertised as a tourist hotel, but none of the staff seem to speak English - I understand not everyone does, that’s fine - but at least make an effort to assist or find someone who can - all I got was a shrug and staff staring at me as if I had two heads. Perhaps they need more training, because service is poor. If this was a cheaper place to stay it would be easier to overlook, but with the going rate of a room (not cheap) I expected better. Advertised as tourist Not good, and overall not a happy customer.

La seconda visita.La montagna Fuji è chiara in inverno.Sono andato alla piazza di illuminazione prima del ristorante, perché era un Fuji rosso prima del sole. Da lato destro a colore rosso, circa 1／ 3, all'inizio del sole, sono tornato alla grande montagna di Fuji, ma all'alba sinistra, la luna piena nell'angolo superiore destro e la montagna di Fuji.Devo vedere questo sole nascere nel mare di Zhuanjian.Il paesaggio, si può vedere tutto. Poiché ci sono molte famiglie, la stanza è molto grande, si può vedere il lago di Shuang e la montagna Fuji da tutte le camere.La camera da letto è B1 e 2e piani, e la strada di Shuang è pulita da osservare la piscina di zolfo.Dovresti vedere le persone nella stagione.Questo è un hotel tranquillo e buono.

Il personale di Marriott ci ha accolti al lato della curva. Check-in era indolore e presto siamo andati in camera nostra. In camera calda le primavera erano un piacevole toccamento. La camera era spaziosa e molto confortevole. Anche le mutandine giapponesi erano morbide e confortevoli. Il cibo era di prima qualità e cucinato a ogni gusto. Abbiamo scelto il pacchetto di cena ben valgono i soldi. Dopo cena abbiamo chiesto un massaggio tardi di notte... avremmo dovuto riconsiderare quello. Chiesto a due terapeuti e ne ha avuto uno. Non aveva idea di cosa fosse un massaggio! Seriamente!!! Mi ha letteralmente ingoiato con le punte del dito. Mi ha spinto la testa contro il bastone per dieci minuti. Finalmente aveva abbastanza e fu licenziata con la sua paga completa. Notata, non era affiliata all’hotel, era solo la signora che chiamavano. Per favore non chiamarla più! Amo l’hotel e la vista. È necessario per chiunque voglia una via tranquilla.
