We enjoyed this beautiful hotel accommodation so much, we have booked to go back. This is a very welcoming and friendly, family owned hotel with amazing staff. We were welcomed with a voucher for a bottle of wine for booking direct for a 3 night stay. Right on the waterfront it has spectacular views which can be enjoyed from a of choice of very comfortable seating areas, including the main restaurant which serves a breakfast buffet and evening meals. It is modern and exceptionally clean and decorated with touches of tartan adding to the overall ambience. Our room, which we managed to book with great luck at the last minute, was modern and very spacious. We had a very comfortable king sized bed, a desk area and a seating area as well as an en-suite bathroom with heated towel rail and a great shower. The little touches included biscuits, a mini chocolate, a bottle of water each, tea & coffee sachets and individual toiletries. USB points were great for recharging our phones. The towels were luxurious and flannels were provided too. We had a lovely green forest view as we faced the back of the hotel and we had plenty of opportunities to sit in the lounge areas with lake views. We enjoyed both the breakfast buffet and an evening meal as well as a night cap after a day of exploring. The hotel is not in the centre of town but as we had a rental car, this was not a problem. Free parking is available on site.

The hotel is lovely, we had a room over in the Annex with a balcony view, the room was lovely and clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was hard as a brick though, we couldn't sleep hardly at all. The only grumbles was the bed, and the breakfast we had. It was cold. The eggs option was scrambled egg, nothing else. not poached etc. All-in-all the breakfast was a let donw sadly.

A very good hotel a little outside of Fort William. Despite being along the main road it is quiet. The rooms facing the sea have a beautiful view. They are however somewhat darker than in the pictures. As for the restaurant: it has some tasty meals (including the risotto!) but overall there are probably better alternatives nearby.

Fantastic hotel with a wonderful panoramic view, great clean rooms and bathrooms, a generous breakfast selection, a generous bar and friendly staff. The menu in the a'la carte restaurant is a bit monotonous. The city centre is a longer walk away, but that's why the area is very quiet.

This is a gem of a place to stay in Fort William. Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. The evening meal was delicious, I had the Salmon. I will definitely stay here again. It is a bit out of the centre so you may prefer to take a taxi rather than walk although the walk is lovely.

It was Fabulous all round. Great greeting at reception and a lovely room and bathroom. We had aman excellent dinner with good choices . Perfect location and well priced. Breakfast was good too. Just outside of Fort William and opposite the loch.

The Clan MacDuff is an exceptionally clean and very well managed hotel in a great location for visiting the south west and southern part of the highlands of Scotland (e.g. Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Oban, Isle of Mull, Isle of Iona, the Glenfinnian viaduct, Spean Bridge (Commando memorial), Loch Ness, Inverness and Aviemore). The staff are all very polite and attentive and the owners (Angus and Susan) are excellent hosts. Our room (which didn't have a loch view) was very spacious and perfect for a 5 night stay. The restaurant is very good, with a good selection of food available at breakfast and also in the evening. When we visited there was also an expanded menu and specials from Thursday to Saturday. We would highly recommend the lamb shanks! When the weather is playing ball, the restaurant and bar also have a fantastic view over Loch Linnhe. The car park is large and I noticed it also has a couple of charging points for electric vehicles.
