Hotel in zona Island Visions, Gallery & Gifts, Fort Myers

We love this location right in the middle of downtown Fort Myers, Florida. We've stayed here a few times, including before the recent renovation. There is a an interesting variety of rooms with different layouts which we enjoyed. This time we chose a King room with balcony and city view. The balcony is small but big enough for 2 people and while it does have an ok ”city view,” it also looks down upon another roof below with all the air conditioners (something we do not like when paying extra for a ”view”). However, you can also see the river along with a bit of Patio DeLeon, in the middle of downtown Fort Myers. At night, is where the view shines with all the colorful lighting and usual music can be heard from live musicians. This room is fairly large for a boutique hotel with a larger than usual TV. However, the TV and dresser on which it sits are oddly placed in a corner at an angle, and pretty far from the bed detracting from the size of the screen. Programming is not in HD and also not set to the correct proportions (everything was vertically compressed) and the remote does not allow adjustments for this. It has a nice kitchenette area with a mini fridge but no microwave which we thought it should have given the price for the room and how inexpensive small microwaves cost (It may have been an option but it should already be there). Shower is very nice but every 30 seconds the water pressure dropped, then climbed back up - no biggie, just odd. Toilet paper seemed cheap for this type of hotel but all other items seemed to match this type of hotel. You have to pay $3 per bottle for the 2 bottles that are already in the room. It's like ”nickel and diming” for something as inexpensive as bottled water - like having no microwave, it takes away from the experience given the price of the room. Some light fixtures were not fully seated into the ceiling and like most hotels, the air vent in the bathroom had visible dust (I realize most people don't even look at these things, but I tend to notice it). The bed, although newer, was very firm, and not what we typically find in an upscale hotel. The walls are ”thin” allowing sounds from outside and adjacent rooms to be heard which is just an observation, not necessarily a negative. Front desk personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Parking options are basically valet or one of 2 nearby parking garages. One parking garage is literally across the street which worked great for us at a lot less than using valet - pros and cons to each. The ice machine on our floor was not working which requires you to acquire ice on another floor (we were on the 7th floor - the top floor). There is a nice little rooftop bar which has a similar view of the city as our room but a little higher. The bar area has decent seating with a good mix of small couches, chairs and high top tables. We did not eat or have room service during this stay but it's available. Overall, it's a very nice, small hotel in an ideal, convenient location and we will definitely go back.

Super hotel, recente, molto pulito. Le camere sono decorate con gusto, spaziose, lettiera confortevole, nessun rumore. Il parcheggio è gratuito, c'è un lavandino nell'hotel nella RDC. L'hotel è vicino al centro della città (circa 8 minuti a piedi). Le personnel est très aimable et à l’écoute. Petit-dej classique complet avec du choix sucré/salé.

Abbiamo visitato Fort Myers per un matrimonio in centro (primi oratori in America dal Galles, Regno Unito) e ci siamo trasferiti per 4 notti. L'hotel è un po' stanco, ma è pulito e ha una bella piscina, il colazione è anche super buono a 9.95 dollari, per un buffet caldo. Quello che ha fatto l'hotel una grande scelta per noi è stato il bellissimo benvenuto e utile squadra ... Vorrei solo poter ricordare il nome di tutti! Il bellissimo signore che abbiamo incontrato per la prima volta al momento dell'arrivo e che abbiamo visto la maggior parte dei giorni (Scozzese/Americano) era super utile e conosciuto della zona, e il suo collega (portatore notturno) era anche grande, un giovane (Penso che il Direttore del dovere per i primi 2 giorni) era super efficiente, amichevole e ci ha dato consigli su come andare intorno alla zona locale, la signora con il bellissimo sorriso, occhiali e capelli marroni/scura rossi sulla ricezione era così benvenuta e Debbie dal colazione era davvero fantastico un bene per la Equipe, così tanti altri membri del personale hanno fatto il nostro soggiorno, che tutti hanno dato un sorriso e un saluto. Altri recensioni dicono personaggi sgustosi intorno all'hotel, ecc a notte, personalmente non andrei da nessuna parte a notte in un paese straniero/città a casa mia, sì, ci sono alcune persone vulnerabili sulle strade a notte (come la maggior parte del mondo) , potresti essere nell'hotel più poshest del mondo e ancora in pericolo, certamente non mi sono sentito insicura in hotel. Questo è un buon valore, hotel amico. Grazie ancora a tutti. Fino alla prossima volta x

Ottima vista, se si ottiene una camera più alta. Il ristorante pesce tra le due torri può essere molto forte la sera. Abbiamo inoltre avuto un team di bowling senior al piscina, che hanno fatto un'altra volta un'opera di riproduzione in modo ordinato la sera. Tutte le camere hanno una vista super verso Fort Myers e si può sedersi super sul balcone fino al pomeriggio e godere la vista su una (o più) birra ben meritata.

Das Hotel war - unabhängig der Hurricane-Schäden - heruntergekommen.

We stayed one night. When checking in, the front desk person could not find my rate and tried to tell me if was a higher rate. This should have been my first clue as to the type of hotel it is. Going into the room, it was medium clean, but we were only staying one night and less than 12 hours so we thought we could survive. It wasn't until the next morning that we saw there was no soap for a shower, which would have been ok as I had some with me, but the water pressure was terrible, and this was at 6 am. We passed on a shower, packed our bags and went to breakfast. I told the front desk clerk and she made a production about writing down the room number and they would check out the water pressure. I also mentioned that there was no soap. She said that we could have requested another room, but they did know there wasn't enough soap available because the order didn't come in. (hello, you're by a large city; aren't there any supercenters around?) Then we ate breakfast, not a very good one, and no juice available in the machine -- what's wrong with buying plastic containers and putting the juice in a small dispenser? When we sat down, the table next to us was laughing at what I'd said to the desk clerk. They had so little water pressure that it took 20 minutes to wash out the soap in their hair! As we talked to them, they had the same complaints we did. We finished packing the car and checked out. I asked for a receipt and we had a charge for a wall safe that we never used. I asked for it to be taken off and she did so reluctantly. I will check my credit card bill to make sure this happened. All in all, I would never stay there again. I called corporate and complained, and I just received an email (not very professionally written and full of misspellings and grammar mistakes) stating that I received a discounted rate and they were not going to discount the room any more. I think I've convinced my husband that the cheapest hotel is not necessarily the way to go. Remember, you get what you pay for.
