Flores: hotel a 2 stelle

I stayed here 1 night and it was a bit of a walk from the main street. I wouldn't usually mind, but because I was tired from a 6 hour tour from Tikal earlier in the day, walking a few blocks with 16lb backpack in tow in 103 degree weather wasn't really what I would've prefered to do. The reason being that vans/tour buses are not allowed past the main street because the streets are not wide enough. Once at the hotel check in was a breeze and Chonita was vey kind and informative. Not much of a view from the lobby or outside, but once I reached my room, the view of Lake Peten Itza was amazing. I was on the third floor, no elevator. Again, usually not a big deal, but I'm 47 and bad knees. Hot and tired from walking and traveling all morning, it was tiresome. The room was very clean. Air conditioning is a must and there's worked great. There's a mini fridge loaded with different types of drinks. Beer, soda. water and even offer small bottles of wine and liquor along with a price list of what each item will cost. TV, wifi worked well. My room was located right besides the outdoor community deck. For most of my stay it was empty and it was nice to sit outside and lounge reading a book and enjoying the views. At night time some other guests were out on the deck and I could hear their conversations, but it wasn't botheresome because I was exhausted from my day, I went to sleep right away. You must take advantage of the sunrise, perfect view to watch it come up around 5:30 am. I was still in my pj's and was not surprised to see more guests awake and enjoying it too. Overall experience was good. They offer free breakfast at an affiliate hotel, I chose to eat at La Casona, which is literally down the block about a 5 minute walk with a great view of the lake. Then before I left I took a swim at another affiliate hotel, Hotel Peten, which is about a 10 minute walk.

Sabana Hotel is such a delightful place to stay in beautiful Flores, Guatemala! The rooms are basic, yet with cold air conditioning to alleviate the sweltering heat, a beautiful view of Lake Petén Itzá and a staff that goes the extra mile to make the stay truly enjoyable and memorable!

This is a basic hotel, and has everything you need while you’re in Flores. I had room 21 on the first floor overseeing the lake. The music at night from the bar across the street went until 1am. I called the reception a few times and they “played” surprised… They knew very well the music is super loud and goes well after midnight, but said couldn’t do anything as this is a different business altogether. Either pick up a higher floor OR choose a room that is NoT facing the lake, otherwise you will have to listen to a lot of rancheras until the wee hours of the night…

Molto bello hotel.Grande posizione, molti ristoranti e bar per camminare, super comodo come è a destra dal ponte per camminare al centro commerciale e anche un Burger King. Utilizziamo Tuk Tuks per il trasporto alla Megaplaza (molto economico e a soli 8 minuti di auto). L'hotel non fornisce trasporto aereo, ma un taxi è stato solo $10 per persona. La nostra camera di grandezza re era molto spaziosa, Letto confortevole con sottile giù confortevole, cassaforte, TV inglese, 2 bottiglia d'acqua al giorno in camera, buio e molto a notte. La camera da bagno ha tutto quello che ti serve, shampoo, condizionatore, asciugacapelli. Hanno cambiato asciugamani e camera pulita ogni giorno. Abbiamo un piccolo balcone condiviso e ci hanno persino 2 sedie per balcone. Il ristorante/bar è stato chiuso a causa di COVID. Hanno una piscina all'aperto e all'aperto, nonché parcheggio a terra. Tutti all'hotel parlano inglese. Ci hanno potuto organizzare una tour Tikale e una tour barca intorno all'isola con un pick-up davanti all'hotel.

La nostra famiglia ha davvero goduto il nostro soggiorno qui solo per una notte prima di andare a Tikal. L'hotel è molto pulito con servizio di lusso superiore. L'hotel è così bello decorato. Ho appena amato l'antica architettura, le porte in legno e le cassette. Siamo arrivati molto presto e hanno fatto del loro meglio per farci entrare prima 3. Il colazione al loro ristorante Achiote è stato il migliore del nostro viaggio. Ci siamo divertiti a fare un passo per esplorare la città e poi rilassarci nella piscina di immersione al tetto fino a che non potevamo entrare. Vorrei molto raccomandare un fermo prima o dopo la vostra visita a Tikal.

Questo bellissimo piccolo hotel ha una grande posizione sull'isola, passi da buoni ristoranti e direttamente affrontando i sorprendenti sorgenti solari. Il personale è amichevole e utile! Mi piaceva davvero il nostro balcone per guardare il sorgere del sole e appendere i nostri vestiti bagnati. C'è una piccola piscina per rifrire in pomeriggio caldo!
