I stayed in the two bedroom apartment for a week in mid November. There are three apartments available - a studio, a one bedroom and a two bedroom. I took the largest one, which was very convenient, though not as large as one might think with two bedrooms. It is located on the third floor of a 15th century building, has a small, but functioning elevator, and faces an interior courtyard , making it very quiet. Th larger bedroom has a double bed in it, and the smaller one has couch which turns into a bed. There's a large central kitchen/ eating space, a few more comfortable chairs to sit on, a refurbished bathroom ( fairly small) and all amenities needed to manage light meals in the kitchen. There was good, independent heat and hot water. The big decorative "scoop* are the original 17th century frescoes in the large bedroom. On a practical level, the apartment is spotlessly clean and the extraordinary owner/ manager, Lorenzo, is always and immediately available for any help needed. I have never had such a wonderful experience in a private apartment. Lorenzo is absolutely marvelous. The neighborhood in which the building is situated is a five minute easy walk to the center of Florence and has all necessary amenities nearby, including a good supermarket. It is a very residential neighborhood, yet within easy reach of the tourist attractions. All in all, it is highly recommended.
