Hotel Hotel per famiglie a Ko Tao

We had an awful experience at the Seashell dive centre attached to the hotel, and are now out of pocket for 22,000 baht for courses that we couldn’t complete due to the behaviour of the centre manager. We booked and paid upfront for a day of fun dives and 2 AOW courses. After an awful experience where I became very cold and sick on the fun dives due to poor weather conditions and inappropriate kit, we asked to be refunded for the AOW or to wait until conditions were calmer. The manager said that we could not be refunded but could wait for calmer conditions and we extended our time by another week in order to wait for things to calm down. However, the following day we popped into the centre and the managers attitude was completely different, he was rude and difficult and following some very unpleasant interactions with him over the following few days, we took the decision to not go forward with the course. One of the instructors who witnessed the managers behaviour apologised on his behalf giving the excuse that he was in a bad mood as had broken up with his girlfriend ! It was evident that once he had our money, that he had no interest in delivering our course or providing any level of customer care. On the fun dive, kit was poor, with a thin shorty wetsuit provided that was not suitable for the weather conditions, no boots, fins that were too small as they didn’t have any other sizes. Our instructor however was dressed in a full wetsuit and boots etc as said he tends to get cold. There was no provision of snorkels despite PADI guidance stating that these are an essential piece of safety equipment and no basic first aid care / procedures provided for cold, sick customers. When we asked for snorkels, we were told that they are unnecessary and just get in the way. The manager has refused to give his name and diver number despite repeated requests which raises further alarm bells and he ignored all initial emails and messages. Finally, we received a response whereby he said that we had booked onto the course on 3 occasions and not attended. This was completely untrue as no date had been set for us to do it at all. The hotel (who we paid for the course) have not responded to any emails or messages in relation to our complaint and couldn’t have been less interested when I raised it with the reception staff at checkout. My advice is that if you go to Seashell hotel, please AVOID the dive centre. You might be ok if everything is straightforward and you get a good instructor, but if there is a problem then don’t expect any level of care or compassion. We had travelled to Koh Tao to do some fun dives and complete our AOW courses. Our experience at seashell dive centre has ruined our trip to this island. After some detective work, we have established that the dive centre managers name is Hasan Can Toker . I wonder what his reasons for hiding this are ! Again, not the actions of a professional and transparent dive centre manager. As for the hot

The service at the Tarna Align resort is impeccable. They keep you in touch via Whatsapp and are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Golf buggies take you anywhere you want to go into Sairee and then bigger vans for the pier. They provide good amenities eg toothpaste. We stayed in a Villa Sea View room which had absolutely stunning views and a great balcony. It was a short trip into Sairee for walks in the day or for night time activities. The only downside was the room. 1. It was incredibly dark with all the lights on at night with no option to have brighter lights on. 2. The bedside table is a small floating shelf next to the bed and sloped downwards so in the night things would fall off onto the floor. 3. The only way to control lighting and air con was by a panel on one side of the bed which meant if one person fell asleep the other person had to try and get out to get to the panel. 4. Beware of the glass door to the toilet- we both walked into it and bruised ourselves as it was so clean and see through. Could benefit from stickers on it to prevent this. 5. The fridge is right behind the bed and very noisy so we had to unplug it at night to sleep

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay here. The location of the hotel is amazing, on the beach along a very busy ***** of restaurants and beach bars which was great. However, the hotel itself was sadly a let down. The hotel keep whistling birds in cages just outside the hotel rooms so expect to be woken at all hours by birds whistling louder than we could believe. The room we were in was very basic to the point where the only plug socket was by the front door, so to dry my hair I had to stand at the front door with no mirror or chair… The shower was a fixed height (very low) so my partner had to be on his knees to wash his hair and I had to bend significantly despite not being very tall. The room was very dark with basically no natural light at all throughout the day. The bedding was just a thick blanket, that I imagine isn’t washed between guests, in between two loose sheets so the blanket kept coming out of the sheets. The toilet was very temperamental and wouldn’t always flush properly. One positive is that the air con was strong however to circulate the air we also had the fan on and this made an annoying screeching noise when it turned to a certain point, which again, woke us up during the night. We didn’t have breakfast because we had a look at what was on offer and decided to go elsewhere as there are lots of nice local places to eat. The staff also weren’t the most pleasant and even got our dates confused when we checked in. Sadly wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Ho prenotato una camera fronte mare ed era esattamente come appare nelle foto. Accesso diretto alla spiaggia tramite scala privata. All'esterno c'è una rete per amaca, perfetta per rilassarsi, leggere un libro o semplicemente guardare il tramonto. Il materasso è comodo; i cuscini hanno un'imbottitura in schiuma/fibra, quindi potrebbe essere migliore, e personalmente ho trovato il piumone inutilmente caldo per un clima tropicale, il che significava che dovevo accendere l'aria condizionata molto fredda. Non c'è la piscina, ma chi ne ha bisogno quando il mare è ad un passo. Le scelte per la colazione sono semplici ma gustose; il personale di servizio è molto gentile e disponibile, ma mi è stato addebitato un rifornimento di caffè che ritengo non necessario. Le segnalazioni sulla musica ad alto volume provenienti dal Fishbowl Bar sono corrette. Non restare qui se hai il sonno presto o leggero; musica dai bassi martellanti fino alle 2 di notte tutte le sere. Tuttavia, ricorda solo che ci sono pochi posti al mondo in cui puoi ottenere una camera fronte mare a un prezzo simile (ho soggiornato durante la bassa stagione quindi l'equazione prezzo/valore era buona per me, quindi decidi di conseguenza tu stesso). Per quanto riguarda la posizione (a parte la musica notturna ad alto volume) non puoi batterlo, a un passo da alcuni ottimi ristoranti di lusso e dai ristoranti tailandesi più tradizionali.

Bellissimo resort arroccato su una collina rigogliosa. Stanze grandi e arredate con stile. Il bagno poi, una chicca - enorme e molto bello! Forniscono anche accappatoi tipo kimono, davvero carini. Siamo stati qui perché ci piace fare snorkelling ed è circondato da coralli e pesci coloratissimi. Abbiamo visto anche 2 squaletti. È uno dei posti dove si fermano le barche che fanno i tour dell’isola ed effettivamente il fondale è bello, anche se purtroppo molti coralli stanno perdendo colore o sono già morti. Scenografica piscina che affaccia sulla baia. Non consiglio però nè il bar in piscina (cocktail tutta acqua) nè il ristorante (unica volta che mangiato male in Thailandia sigh.. ma prezzi nella media). Colazione a buffet, buona, varia. Parecchie scale per andare al ristorante, che è sulla spiaggia. Servizio un po’ lento, ma va beh. Il wi-fi funziona bene in tutta la struttura. La struttura è distante dal paese, noi avevamo i motorini e non è stato un problema, ma senza bisogna considerare che per spostarsi o si usa la navetta ad orari fissi (inclusa) o si paga un taxi 400 baht. Per noleggiare motorini meglio andare in paese (170 baht al giorno, contro i 300 proposti in hotel). Un bel posto, rilassante, crea atmosfera - più consigliato a coppie in cerca di privacy che a gruppo di amici.

Non andate assolutamente!!! Se prima del Covid c’è chi l’ha definito un Paradiso ora vi assicuro che è come L’inferno. Doveva essere il nostro viaggio di nozze invece è stato rovinato da questo posto sporco, abbandonato che per un italiano e non solo sicuramente non può andare bene. Scarafaggi nelle camere, dentro la doccia, Acqua Fredda, Ragni e Ragnatele, Letti macchiati, Colazione peggiore mai vista senza neanche una torta, non dico un Croissant perché per carità ma almeno del cioccolato dove sporcare un Toast Nienteeeeeee. Un ristorante italiano chiamato Capri che risuona come insulto e come il film di Zalone andrebbe levata l’insegna ..Cit. VICHINGO! Qualità pessima da volta stomaco. Sei in mezzo alla Giungla senza Luce alle 7 di sera, Buio pesto con un aria di assoluta tristezza. Spiaggia non attrezzata, per chi si viene a godere giorni di Relax è inammissibile che non vi siano lettini o sdraio per chi desidera stare comodo, chi è avventuriero va bene ma i gusti sono diversi per tanto credo sia giusto scegliere se stare in terra oppure No! Sabbia dura come il cemento da non poter camminare liberamente perché non è come la vendono, bensì se non hai le scarpe da mare ti pungi i piedi tra sassolini e altro e secondo voi io mi faccio 15 mila chilometri per fare il bagno in piscina? Siamo gente che si adatta a tutto ma questo è troppo! Sono profondamente deluso e arrabbiato perché questi si sono fatti pagare profumatamente ma non merita minimamente i soldi spesi. Abbiamo lo schifo anche ad appoggiarci sul letto che dopo la pandemia dovrebbe essere più pulito invece è pieno di macchie ovunque, nessuna manutenzione in tutta la struttura e si vede, personalmente possono chiudere invece di rapinare la gente. Wi- Fi che continua a saltare, Frigorifero Zozzo, Aria Condizionato con filtri Sporchi Neri Ma stiamo scherzando? Se dovesse venire un ispezione seria non lo fanno stare aperto di sicuro, ripeto, Abbiamo visto tutto nel mondo ma questo che doveva essere una bella vacanza nel paese del Sorriso quel sorriso me l’hanno tolto. Mai più!!! Io non so chi mi ripagherà per questo errore che mi ha rovinato una vacanza di nozze e sicuramente non la passerà liscia, mi dispiace per mia Moglie il quale volevo regalarle un Sogno e qualcuno dovrà rispondere di questo disastro vissuto. Sicuramente spero di aiutare qualcuno che voleva prenotare a non venire, credo fortemente di avere un ottimo equilibrio di valutazione e sono sempre pronto a cercare il lato positivo nelle cose ma qui di positivo non ho visto nulla. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Hatten schon umfangreicheres Angebot. Das Abendessen im Restaurant ist sehr gut. Die Unterkunft- wir hatten einen Bungalow ( lt Beschreibung eine Suite)- für 4 Personen mit Meerblick. Sehr schön. Der Strandabschnitt ist verdreckt und lädt nicht zum Baden ein. Dafür gibt es 2 schöne Pools, die Poolbar haben wir allerdings vergeblich gesucht.

La camera d'albergo che avevo prenotato era nella media e spesso non c'era acqua calda quando pioveva, tuttavia si vedeva il mare quando si apriva la finestra, il che era abbastanza buono. La posizione dell'hotel è relativamente remota, se esci a mangiare puoi prendere il taxi gratuito dell'hotel, ma il taxi ti porta direttamente al molo. La reception non è molto gentile e l'hotel dove siamo arrivati ​​alle 9 del mattino non consentiva il check-in anticipato. Potevo sedermi nella hall solo per poche ore. Fortunatamente abbiamo prenotato solo 2 notti. Successivamente mi sono trasferito in un altro hotel, sono andato lì alle 10 del mattino, l'hotel era molto vicino alla spiaggia e la camera era molto grande, mi hanno fatto il check-in appena arrivato. La chiave è che il prezzo è ancora basso.

First of all a few things 1) the beach is beautiful & lots of room on this bay to walk about / swim. Also the beach is super clean 2) on arrival I didn’t feel the hotel or hotel staff were that friendly. We were waiting to be checked in and instead of explaining the hotel procedures to me & my partner we had to wait till there was more people there and then it was explained in a group so didn’t feel as personal 3) the hotel restaurant was very overpriced & we had to wait ages for staff to acknowledge we were waiting. We did eventually walk over and ask for a menu, all the staff were standing about chatting which is fine but there was a lot of other customers waiting as well including ourselves 4) the rooms are very outdated and I have been to other hotels in Thailand in the same price range and the others were alot more Up to date. You can also hear the neighbours, we were kept up late due to the noise in other rooms ( due to thin walls) and a connecting room that the staff did not undisclosed. There was also no hooks to hang your towels after a shower. We booked a sea view however could hardly see the beach 5) there is a shuttle bus which is free and was really good. As the hotel is far away from other restaurants / bars Overall I would not stay more than one night and was glad I was only staying for one night. I would not recommend this hotel for someone going to koh tao

Spent all 5 days on Koh Tao here, and we were pleased with our decision. A lovely base for navigating a beautiful island, very clean rooms, bathrooms and a lovely pool area. Very friendly owners, chatting to us all about travels, made us feel extremely welcome and that didn't go a miss. Up the road for some beautiful beaches, the attentive staff at reception are there for all things needed, and provide maps of the island as well as bike rental! Picked us up from the port with no problems! Will hopefully stop by again on my return... Thanks Woodlawn Team!
