Hotel con piscina a Fairbanks

Rimaniamo qui quando arrivamo a Fairbanks in estate. E 'stato bloccato ma tranquillo e vicino a tutto quello che abbiamo bisogno quando siamo in città. La colazione è in punto e un modo grande per iniziare il giorno. Il personale è grande e ha sempre un sorriso e pronto a aiutare.

La settimana scorsa sono rimasto qui in viaggio d'affari. L'hotel è stato annunciato come avere una piscina e una sala di allenamento, ma entrambi erano in costruzione. La mia prima notte non potevo ottenere un film da noleggiare dalla televisione. Quando ho cliccato su ”alloggio ora”, mi ha detto che non ero accennato. Ho chiamato e chiesto al desk front e hanno detto che mi ritroverebbero ma non lo erano. Alle cinque di mattina, un allarme mi ha svegliato che non avevo fissato. Dopo aver salito la mattina dopo, ho detto al dipartimento di fronte che avevo problemi con la locazione del film e hanno detto che la manutenzione lo controllerebbe. Quella sera, quando sono tornato, non funzionava ancora, quindi sono andato al conto e hanno detto che avevo bisogno di un conto Hyatt. sono passati attraverso il processo e non ha ancora funzionato, quindi sono venuti in camera mia per aiutarmi. Quando non ha funzionato, abbiamo provato il prompt online per usare un codice QR e una screenshot, anche questo non ha funzionato. Questo problema non è mai stato risolto. Il terzo giorno ho notato che nessuno aveva preso il mio cassetto o pulito, ho preso il cassetto al contatore e mi hanno chiesto se mi mancava un tag della porta o qualcosa del genere. Non mi era stato detto questo e mi è stato detto che questo era un servizio disastroso per i clienti. Durante il mio soggiorno le chiavi della porta mi hanno fermato e la bagno nel lobby vicino al colazione non si apriva nemmeno con il codice o la chiave. Il personale era piacevole e scusante, la cortesia del furgone all'aeroporto era molto rapida e amichevole. Il cortesia del colazione era buono. Ho notato molti viaggiatori provenienti dall'estero e l'idea di questo hotel essere fatturato come una 4 stelle sarebbe stato scioccante rispetto a molti Hotel bellissimi ho soggiornato in tutto il mondo.

La stanza si sente molto nuova e pulita, non so se è stata rinnovata negli ultimi anni.Il colazione del ristorante è semplice ma anche standard, e dovrebbe essere tutto.La reception sottostante può comprare cibo e farmaci comuni per risolvere i problemi quotidiani di acqua potabile e cibo. C'è una 24 ore di McDonald's vicino, c'è un supermercato e un ristorante dall'altra parte della strada, che può raggiungere circa dieci minuti a piedi.

This is an average Marriott hotel at best. The furnishings are a little dated, the beds were comfortable and the location is in downtown Fairbanks. The elevators can be a little slow and most of the staff seemed helpful and friendly. Pros: It's downtown Fairbanks and there were a few nice restaurants within walking distance. You'll want a rental car though because you have drive pretty much everywhere. The view of the river wasn't anything special but maybe it is in the warmer months. The onsite restaurant is pretty good. Cons: it's downtown Fairbanks and the area is a little sketchy. You encounter quite a few people experiencing homelessness and struggling with addictions. One particular woman who works the front desk in the evenings was the least friendly and least helpful person that we encountered during our entire week long trip. She initially checked us in upon arrival giving us the minimum required information. Nothing extra like we serve breakfast or you'll find coffee over there, etc. Then on our last night, we arrived back at the hotel about 10 pm and couldn't find any parking in the hotel lot or on the street nearby. We parked in a handicapped space while we went inside to see if she had any advice about where to look for parking. When I approached the front desk, she had her head down looking at something on the desk and didn't look up while I stood there. After a couple of minutes, I said, excuse me, could you tell us where to park if the lot is full? She looked at me like I was asking her to solve a complicated math equation. Then she turned to look at the parking lot via the video feed of the parking lot. After scanning it, she said it looks like the overflow lot is full too. When we asked what we should do, she suggested that we come down every two hours and check for on street parking. It's now after 10 pm, we have a very early flight the next day and we're Marriott Platinum card holders. My husband asked if we could park where the hotel shuttle parks. Luckily, at that moment, the shuttle driver came in and offered to go out to the parking lot to see if he could figure something out. Maybe this person would work out better if she worked in housekeeping doing laundry by herself. She clearly doesn't enjoy working with the guests. We'll probably stay somewhere else on our next trip to Fairbanks. The cons outweigh the pros at this hotel.

The hotel itself needs a lot of improvements. However, the front desk staff, Travis, and the property manager, Jazmynd, were very helpful. They lacked housekeeping staff at the time that I stayed there, but both Travis and Jazmynd made every effort to compensate for this as best they could. Though the property needs improvement, most of the staff, including the property manager, go out of their way to care for the guests.
