Tutto perfetto, posizione splendida sul mare, ma soprattutto ad Es Castell, luogo tranquillo e molto carino, soprattutto nella zona di Cales Fonts, pulizia super, efficienza nella sistemazione dei guasti, personale disponibile e gentile, cibo di qualità e vario, l'unico neo la nostra stanza non aveva il balcone. Avendo prenotato una superior e stando 11 giorni, ci aspettavamo una camera, anche interna, ma con balcone, perché far asciugare costumi e teli da mare era davvero un'impresa. Dalla finestra si vedeva un pezzo di mare, ma avremmo preferito una camera anche vista piscina, come da descrizione delle superior, ma con balcone. Io avrei voluto farmi cambiare la stanza, ma mio marito non ha voluto che disturbassi...nell'assegnazione delle camere forse occorrerebbe maggiore attenzione anche al tempo di permanenza dell'ospite, ovviamente nel rispetto della tipologia di camera prenotata. A parte questa nota stonata, se si vuole soggiornare a Minorca, girarla in lungo e in largo e avere un soggiorno confortevole, il Barcelò Hamilton é assolutamente il luogo migliore

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.

All’inizio sembra di entrare in un magico giardino incantato, prato e aiuole colorate, palme ed edera rampicante sulle pareti; poi inizi a notare la muffa, le crepe nei balconi, e le pareti scrostate… entri in camera e la puzza di muffa e di chiuso ti assale, a volte a sorpresa, anche qualche ventata di fogna. Internet è inesistente, il Wi-Fi non funziona e non c’è campo praticamente da nessuna parte. Nelle camere c’è un’umidità pazzesca, entra nelle ossa, e un soggiorno prolungato è impossibile da sostenere in un luogo così malsano; infatti al terzo giorno abbiamo chiesto di cambiare stanza, ma le nuove stanze proposte erano anche peggio… in generale più si sale di piano meno si sente l’umido, ma aumenta l’odore di fogna che probabilmente è dovuto anche alla muffa anche nei condotti di areazione. L’aria condizionata funziona appena, Pedro è venuta a ripararla, ma non è cambiato molto. Povero Pedro. Oltre alla puzza di chiuso e di umido, vi sono crepe ovunque, sui muri esterni, interni e balconi; alcune piastrelle rotte, la maniglia del bagno che si stacca... La pulizia lascia molto a desiderare, la cucina non viene toccata, così come il tavolo, il tavolino, i comodini e nemmeno la doccia. Spazzano solo sommariamente per terra. In stanza, il primo giorno, siamo stati tormentati dai mosconi. Molte cose sono traballanti e sembrano stare in piedi per miracolo, tipo il tavolino e i corrimani delle scale. L’unico bar dell’hotel, davanti alla piscina, è quasi del tutto sfornito e ha orari di difficile comprensione. Per fortuna c’è un mini, veramente mini, market a fianco alla struttura, che salva il pranzo, perché il ristorante dell’hotel è chiuso, aperto solo a cena, ma non abbiamo osato provare. Il servizio Navetta è disponibile solo 6 volte al giorno, ad orari fissi e solo su prenotazione; con un massimo di 8 persone a corsa. Se sono piene, farai una piacevole passeggiata di 30m a piedi sotto il sole, perché le piscine non sono particolarmente invitati: i lettini della piscina sono sporchi, improponibili e con macchie di escrementi di uccello, o forse di galline, perché corrono libere tra un edificio e l’altro. La Tv non funziona, lo scarico è lento, il divano è bucato, il parquet sfondato. Non c’è il caffè espresso, nemmeno a colazione, ma medaglia al valore per la tipa che fa le omelette ogni mattina dalle 8 alle 11, e anche a Pedro. Lavorare qui, così come soggiornarci, è veramente difficile. Per sbaglio oltretutto, siamo saliti al secondo piano della hall e abbiamo visto una sala da colazione disabitata con macchie ovunque sul pavimento e sui tavoli. Allego foto.

5 punti meritati, per cortesia, per pulizia, per posizione, per colazione, per comfort... personale gentile ed attento. Pulizia di tutti gli ambienti e camere impeccabili. Posizione centrale visto che la stazione dei pullman è ad un isolato e comunque il centro raggiungibile a piedi. Colazione eccellente con prodotti freschi e tipici. Camere silenziose, forse con qualche piccolo ritocco da fare. La chicca però è da evidenziare: il green corner, cioè un angolo ricco di spuntini, bevande, dolcini a disposizione degli ospiti dalle 14 in poi. Tornare da mare e trovare frutta, Panini piadine insalata olive e tanto altro non ha prezzo... ps apprezzabile la piscina panoramica e la zona solarium: relax assoluto. Tutto nel rispetto dell ambiente e della biosostenibilita' ... complimenti davvero 💯

I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, it was clean and great location and in the weeks stay we had towel and bedding change done 3 times which was very much appreciated. The location was a little noisy until about midnight, probably wouldn't be an issue for most people but with a young child we were in bed by 9ish most nights, luckily my little one slept brilliantly and after the first night I just used my headphones as ear plugs and had a great night's sleep every night. On the subject of noise....the walls are very thin and noise does travel. We did have a very noisy neighbour on the 1st day, who were a little noisy during their affectionate times, slightly awkward and just something to be aware of if you're going as a couple! The pool area was great, perfect for a little one as it is very shallow and we had the area completely to ourselves every day, also free WiFi in this area for guests. The beds were much bigger than the standard single you usually get, I'd say 3/4 size and comfortable. Yes the rooms were a little dated, but for the price for better than I was expecting. Completely functional and clean. There was a ceiling fan and little electrical heater supplied which really heated the space up. Even in 43+ degrees the room was pleasantly cool. Good sized fridge, only hot plates and microwave though for cooking but lovely local restaurants literally a 30 second walk away. Lovely pleasant staff, really friendly and helpful Felt very safe and welcome in this beautiful corner of menorca

Séjour en famille à l'occasion des vacances de la Toussaint. Nous avons été enchantés par l'architecture de cette résidence de vacances. Très grande piscine à débordement avec vue sur la baie Les appartements sont spacieux, bien équipés. Les lits confortables et les terrasses très agréables Nous avons adorés être au 2ème étage (étage le plus haut) pour admirer la vue sur la plage

Soggiornato per 3 notti dal 31 agosto in camera confort con terrazzovista giardino. In realtà era a piano terra e la terrazza era confinante con la piscina nella quale fino a tardi faceva i tuffi,quindi alcuna privacy a 800 euro per tre notti ! Room service inesistente! Alle 22 ho chiesto un toast, non hanno più pane e mi propongono una pizza surgelata, idem la seconda sera. Pranzato con amici e si capisce lontano un miglio che i piatti sono già preconfezionati e surgelati. Mi dicono che il centro di Mahon dista 10 minuti a piedi, in realtà per arrivare in centro nei pressi del Club Nautico 40 minuti con passo spedito. Assolutamente scarso per rapporto qualita/prezzo. Per poterci arrivare con la vettura dal centro di Mahon c'è da fare il giro di mezza isola causa divieti, sensi unici ecc. Lo sconsiglio vivamente.

Just had a wonderful weeks holiday via Jet2 at the lovely traditional Port Mahon Hotel which I first visited over 50 years ago. Prior to arriving I was offered an upgrade to a suite with balcony and sea view at modest cost which I gladly accepted. I enjoyed amazing views over the estuary, watching the big ships and colourful sunrises. Only negative was why the shower controller was 2 metres away from the shower head? Makes temperature control difficult & wastes water. The breakfast buffet was over 15M long offering everything you could wish for from fresh fruit, continental breakfast to full English. Service was swift. I did a lot of walking around Mahon and used the buses to visit Cuitadella, Fornells & Es Casteel, also the town train around Mahon and the glass bottomed boat for the harbour cruise. The Hotel is a great base for touring. I am planning to return again to Port Mahon Hotel next March when Jet2 start flying from Liverpool (more convenient). In summary, the Port Mahon Hotel exceeded my expectations and any thanks to Silvia on reception for helping with my arrangements. *** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***
