Hacienda Guadalupe Hotel

I don’t usually write long reviews but I enjoyed my time here! My husband and I got married here in November 2022 and customer service is top tier! Paulina was my wedding planner. She guided me through the whole process. I really wanted a wedding venue where they could take care of everything (food, open bar, rehearsal dinner, vendor recommendations) PLUS my immediate family could stay in the boutique hotel. 10/10. On top of all that they have a winery, it’s a family owned business. Normalmente no escribro críticas largas, ¡pero la pasé muy bien aquí! ¡Mi esposo y yo nos casamos aquí en noviembre de 2022 y el servicio al cliente es de primer nivel! Paulina fue mi organizadora de bodas y fue súper amable. Ella me guió durante todo el proceso. Realmente quería un lugar para la boda donde pudieran encargarse de todo (comida, barra libre, cena de ensayo) ADEMÁS, mi familia inmediata podría quedarse en el hotel boutique. 10/10.

I came to Guadalupe Valley with my boyfriend for a long weekend and wasn’t sure what to expect. And wow we were blown away! The property itself was beautiful, grape vines everywhere, a beautiful pool/hot tub area and a fountain with a view of the valley in the background. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The best part about the room was the view and the patio overlooking the view. The service was perfect, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. And not all the staff can speak perfect English, but it was easy to communicate with everyone, and I cannot express just how friendly every staff member was. This hotel had everything we needed. There are two restaurants on site, one that is open for breakfast/lunch, and closes around 5pm and another that is open for dinner and opens around 5-6pm. The dinner restaurant on site Aledano, is newer and the Chef is incredible, he came to speak with us and make recommendations and when I told him I was vegetarian he prepared the Orzo dish without meat and honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. There is also a beautiful winery on site with wonderful wine. Everything about this hotel is perfect. I would recommend it more for couples given how romantic is can be but would be great alone or with friends as well! I cannot wait to go back and visit!

We've been to Hacienda Guadalupe about five times the past five years...about once a year. Great location, very convenient to restaurants. Great view of the Valle from their elevated position. The rooms are always nice, with good air conditioning and modern showers and bathrooms. Nice ambience in general. Good big swimming pool with towels and lounge chairs. Very enjoyable in the summer. We also like the hiking trail right behind the hotel. Short but steep climb for a nice workout. The restaurant is also nice. Great breakfast. Last but not least, a very nice staff. Always helpful.

Backstory: I live in Southern California and was looking for a destination wedding. Due to Covid and the groom's family drama we had already lost deposits at two other destination wedding venues. So I felt pretty low when it came to planning a wedding. I had no idea that the Valle de Guadalupe existed until my friend told me to look into that area where it would still be a destination wedding but people could drive if needed. The Valle had something for everyone and their budgets. After looking at the different venues via Google Search, Hacienda Guadalupe (HG) stood out as it was small and intimate BUT could hold a large group of people if needed. My husband and I went to scope out the place in September of 2021. It was fantastic. Paulina, the wedding event's coordinator, was wonderful! She gave us a tour of the entire place and really helped us picture our wedding reception and ceremony. On that same day, we signed a contract to have the wedding there, on a Tuesday! In order to have the wedding at HG, we agreed to rent out all 16 rooms. Yes! Absolutely. This is a necessity. It was wonderful being able to have the whole place to ourselves as I had people traveling from New York, Washington State, Chihuahua, etc. We also had such a large group that we ended up with a three day wedding with lots and lots of food being served. HG and Paulina definitely made our wedding feel personal and not a cookie cutter thing. Paulina went out of her way to find us a DJ, a shaman, a photographer, makeup artists, a caterer (they were from the hotel restaurants), and decorator that worked well with our theme, budget, and HG. The staff at HG were exceptional as well. Senor Omar went out of his way to make sure our items were secured to the gazebo (arbor?) and the Italian lights. The receptionist and bell boy were wonderful helping us with guests who were arriving late or were too elderly to care for their luggage. Also thank you to the staff for caring for my own grandmother! After two or three days of walking up and down the stairs she required assistance getting to Adelano and HG's restaurant. The staff delivered! HG staff went above and beyond to meet the needs of my family and I am forever grateful. I forgot to mention the food. It's excellent. Everything was wonderful. The catering staff worked with us regarding the flavors we were looking for.

I really don't like giving this kind of review, especially when the facilities and staff were very nice. However, be advised that although the nightly rate is quoted in dollars, the amount is converted to pesos at checkout at an arbitrary rate that is not reflective of market conditions. Whether you are Mexican or someone from abroad, you end up paying more than you should have. This is an unpleasant surprise and the last impression I have of the property. I would recommend quoting rates in pesos to be transparent to your customers.

Es un lugar muy bello, tranquilo y acogedor. El personal es muy amable; los vinos son buenos y la comida es excelente. Las habitaciones son amplias y con todo lo necesario para pasar una estancia agradable y la vista desde el balcón es una excelente manera de comenzar el día Ampliamente recomendado.
