I remembered staying here years & year ago during a blizzard. Nothing fancy, very basic but ok for a quick overnight. Priced right, drive up to your own door, micro & fridge w/freezer, in-room coffee, free wifi w/adequate signal, large wall mounted TV. Room appeared to have been remodelled with laminate flooring & walk-in shower. Not "white glove" clean but not gross, although while plugging in my power ***** bedside I noticed the square boxed outlet had a thick layer of dust. It had 4 plugs so I was grateful it was handy, as the outlets in the lamps were too high on the wall to accommodate my chargers. Bed linens were clean but pillows were flat & need to be replaced. Wall mounted Dove products at the sink & in the shower were almost empty. None of that was a deal breaker, especially as it's getting harder & harder to find a decent room anywhere for under $100. But, as I write this, I am freezing !!! Granted, it is February & the high today was 24 with 20mph winds out of the north, but I have had the heater on for several hours, cranked up as high as it will go, 90 degrees and still COLD :-/ Blowing warm air, but not enough to take the chill out of this room. Wanting to warm up before taking a shower, I waited & waited & waited some more. Watched John Wayne in True Grit on TCM which was great. Room never did get very warm but thankfully the shower was plenty hot so I lingered, knowing it was gonna be cold the minute I turned the water off. Which it was, floor like ice but happily I had packed fleece lined Minnetonka loafers which made good slippers. I scrambled to get into bed as quickly as possible and slept in long underwear & a beanie lol. Still, the good far outweighed the bad, and I'd probably stay here again.
