Morning Dew Boutique Hotel Ella

Morning Dew has been beyond fantastic. When I first checked in I was immediately taken to the beautiful rooftop terrace for complimentary drinks while my luggage was taken to my room. The view of waterfalls, mountain ranges, and lush vegetation from the roof cannot be accurately expressed in words. Beyond the hotel itself the staff now feel like friends after my 48 hour stay. Malith and Ruwan stood out as exemplary employees. When I woke up for breakfast they were there and remembered me by name. When I came back from my hike they made sure that I was comfortable despite the influx of new visitors. Do yourself a favor and stay here....not just for the views but for the personal experience the staff brings

The hotel is on top of a steep hill near Ella town, with a spectacular view from the bedroom overlooking a large waterfall. A large room with coffee and tea facilities, comfortable beds and very clean and with beautiful wooden furniture. What you should keep in mind is that due to its location, this hotel is not suitable for people who are not fit and have knee problems. Also, road up is slippery when it rains. Now they have a shuttle that can pick you up and also take you down in between but the shuttle runs until 18:00. Sometimes the driver may be there later than 18:00 for new guests arriving and then they can pick you up. We asked a couple of Tuk Tuks if they could take us up (it wasn't raining) but they indicated they don't do that. So it is good to know that Tuk Tuks cannot reach the hotel and especially not when it is wet because it is too steep.

The Morning Dew Hotel is located on a hilltop 5 min walks to centrum. But the shuffle transport is recommended since the road is so steep. And it’s a thrill to experience the short distance to and from the centrum. The hotel has stunning views to every direction and is really a grate pleasure to wake up in the morning and view the spectacular sights of the land around Ella coming to life. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooftop bar is a joy to spend late afternoon and evening listening to their Spotify playlist and have a cocktail or two in the happy hour from 5 pm to 8 pm. Absolutely a must try if you are in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Shehan was great, helped us out with the shuttle. Hotel is on a steep incline but the shuttle can handle it no problem. Liked the stunning views of Ella Rock and Adam’s Peak. You can also apparently see the sunrise but we weren’t so lucky since a lot of fog the day we went. Clean rooms, great hotel breakfast and dinner.
