Hotel con colazione inclusa a El Cortecito

Siamo stati in questo resort per 2 settimane, posto bello, bella spiaggia e bel mare. Per quanto riguarda i servizi, ecco che iniziano le pecche: qualità del cibo bassa, non sempre fresco. Pulizia : lenzuola cambiate massimo una volta, perché ho deciso di sporcarle con polvere per capire se dopo 5 giorni mi cambiassero la biancheria. Pulizia della stanza molto sommaria( stessa carta lasciata a terra in bagno finché non l'ho tolta personalmente. Minibar che prevedeva anche Coca cola, che gli ultimi 4 giorni non ci è più stata data. Porta della stanza lasciata aperta 2 volte, di cui stiamo ancora attendendo l'esito della visione dei nastri delle telecamere di sorveglianza. Avendo scelto la formula ALL INCLUSIVE, avevamo anche le bevande alcoliche incluse: peccato che i liquori fossero di bassa qualità/allungati con acqua. Stessa cosa per la birra alla spina: davanti ai miei occhi la spillatrice è stata riempita con acqua, cosa che è accaduta anche coi succhi, ottenuti miscelando acqua e concentrati. Nella stessa formula sono inclusi anche i ristoranti a la carte: spesso mi è capitato di ordinare portare e sentirmi dire che erano finite: posso capire che capiti una sera, ma 2 volte di fila e 3 volte in una settimana per lo stesso ristorante è troppo ( nello specifico, la piadina al ristorante italiano). Inoltre, per chi non parla spagnolo, la comunicazione diventa difficoltosa: a parte qualche eccezione, la maggior parte del personale comunica solo in spagnolo e inglese nulla ( di certo non chiedevo parlassero italiano o inglese fluente) .

Allora siamo arrivati qui io e il mio compagno il 31 gennaio (sera) .. dopo un lungo viaggio arriviamo e al momento di pagare la stanza bloccata abbiamo avuto problemi con il pagamento , le nostre carte non funzionavano qui nella Repubblica Dominicana ! PANICO !!!! Ci hanno accolto due signori , uomo e donna , entrambi ECCEZIONALI, la signora CARMEN CI HA AIUTATO TANTISSIMO , e nonostante non stessimo riuscendo a pagare , ha capito il nostro stato di ansia e ci ha detto di salire in camera e la mattina seguente avremmo risolto il problema , (dando un piccolo anticipo , quello che avevamo insomma , e non avevamo cambiato molti soldi (50€) , sempre la signora Carmen ha preso i soldi e ha fatto in modo che potessimo mangiare lasciandomi qualche pesos in tasca . La mattina seguente problema della carta RISOLTO❤️ Ho letto , prima di partire , molte recensioni negative , NON LE PENSATE PROPRIO CREDETEMI !!!!!!!! Posizione ottima , vicino a tutto , spiaggia, ristoranti, farmacia, supermercato. Colazione ECCEZIONALE, il tutto accompagnato da un succo FRESCO !!! Le stanze sono perfette , è logico che non sono MODERNISSIME, ma sono pulite e ordinate , il super lettone comodissimo !!!! Lo STAFF , tutto lo staff è super ACCOGLIENTE , SEMPRE COL SORRISO E PRONTI A RISOLVERE OGNI PROBLEMA . La signora CARMEN È UNA PERSONA ECCEZIONALE, PROFESSIONALE , simpatica e pronta ad aiutare se ci sono problemi , come il resto dello staff !!!!!! Grazie green Coast ❤️

I read some of these other reviews, and frankly was embarassed by the entitlement and spoiled behavour some tourists confessed to in thier reviews. A resort this is not. However, it is 3 blocks from one of the best beaches in the world. All the best tours will pick you up at BAM market a block and a half away. The staff here is accomedating, friendly, and tolerant of me speaking English at them constantly even though its kinda rude to do that. They have a nice open roof level terrace to drink rum and hang out on at night, and enjoy an included breakfast - usually yohgurt, cut up fruit, sandwich, coffee, and passionfruit juice. This is a good location in a rapidly developing country I would recommend this spot and return someday.

Ok. First off I don't know how anyone could give Marcos and Magdelina anything but 5 stars. They are both fluent in Spanish, English and several other languages which made everything very easy. When I wanted to practice on my Spanish Marcos would speak with me in Spanish and when I wanted to speak in English we spoke in English. If you read the other reviews, some people were confused about where they were and reviewed this place in error. I was traveling solo in the Dominican Republic as a single woman and I was slightly worried before arriving, but the second I walked into the garden late at night to check in - all my fears melted away. The family was sitting having a casual conversation with guests and the kids were playing on the ping pong table. They welcomed me like family. The most gracious couple I have ever met. In addition to being met by Marcos and Magdalena I was also met by a friendly dog which made this feel even more like home. As far as my room went, everything was clean, very spacious, had air conditioning in the bedroom, a mini fridge and some snacks and drinks in the minibar. I settled in immediately. I also ate dinner there every night because the food was so amazing! They have four different menus to choose from, including Dominican food, Caribbean and even Polish food. All of which was absolutely delicious. The service was incredible and it was a true experience that I will never forget. I even got to play air hockey with the kiddos! I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid I won't be able to get a reservation when I return next year! Now let's address the fact that this is not an all-inclusive resort. This is a small bed and breakfast that is run by a family. They have a recycle mentality and everything they had is reused and repurposed and I love that vibe. If you are one that wants fancy and luxury or no culture, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're a solo traveler that wants to feel like you're part of a family 1000% recommend. I will return to see them many many times. ♥️

Our first night in the Dominican Republic we stayed at Green Beach Coast Hotel as was close to Punta Cana airport. Not as close as we initially thought, but got a taxi there for less than £15. Hotel at the end of a dead end lane in the town. Really nice welcome. Shown though to our room which was a simple suite. Basic but clean. Resonantly comfy bed. Shower nice and hot and free flowing. Beach was accessible via a little alleyway opposite the reception. Having our breakfast (included in the price) on the beach was lovely. WiFi was fine and accessible everywhere even down on the beach. Only drawbacks were that our room had no views and there was a dripping air conditioner unit outside our window onto an old plastic bag which was quite loud (till I reached out and moved the bag a bit). A particularly nice bar (Onno’s) a short walk (100m or so) was very lively with good selection of cocktails. We thought this hotel was a real bargain. Well worth staying. Wish we had booked a couple of nights. But never mind. Next time.

Great spot for the well travelled. Very basic accommodations across the street from the beach in an old establishment with large rooms (some with kitchenets), very nice pool in a lush tropical garden. Very clean and well maintained. For approx $50/night with full breakfast included, this is a real steal in Punta Cana. The adjoining restaurant offers a full menu and the best spaghetti bolognaise we've had in a long time ($10). Many other nearby restaurants as well. First room we had had issues with the toilet and AC but was promply replaced. Suggested improvements... A smile costs nothing and can make a world of difference in the perception of service levels. Also glasses in the rooms would be an inexpensive bonus.
