The room is big, very nice view, overlooking the castle terrace the staff are accommodating. the breakfast buffet is sumptuous

We arrived in the morning and the room was not ready yet. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the storage room. The check in was smooth, the room is big, the staff are friendly and helpful. The only minus point was the air conditioning was not functioning well in the room and the temperature could not be controlled from the room. It’s summer so the room was quite stuffy. Overall was good.

Good location, easy to access the castle and Royal Mile. Very friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Quick to respond to request.

This was the perfect place for us to stay with our 13 year old. Within walking distance of the castle and the ariyal mile.

Very well located, close to castle and old town. Very clean room with nice view on the city and the mountains (6th floor). Room was very clean and practical. Staff was polite and helpfull. Food was good. Overal very nice hotel, would recommend. The only downside was that children below 16 are not allowed in the jacuzzi or sauna facilities.

Even though the hotel has opened for many years, the hotel is very well-maintained. And the room is very clean and spacious.

Fair for the charge and the size of the hotel. Not too much food for the breakfast, but I still give them pass.

The location is good and the room is reasonably sized but the design of the room is not to my liking. The toilet is completely separated from the rest of the washroom which has happened before but the toilet room does not have a hand basin to wash your hands and the two areas are inconveniently located so it could be a problem stumbling at night. The room was clean when we checked in but our room was cleaned the next day except for the washroom for some reason. Reported to front desk but no explanation really. Saw a fan in the closet so the hotel may not have A/C whinch happens in hotels in Europe sometimes. Check that if you are coming in the summer.

Very good. Location is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Exactly what I expect from Novotel.

Have a swimming pool !

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly, and breakfast was always excellent. We had a great stay and would recommend for people who want to be in Edinburgh but a little outside of the touristy centre. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the castle. Would recommend!

The hotel is located at the area walkable to the city centre. Room is spacious and the room temperature is adjustable to our comfort.

Everything is good except for the soundproofing of rooms. It was noisy at night :(
