Ideally located in the town centre, our Eastbourne hotel features our new generation bedrooms, each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. If you do like to be beside the seaside, we're just a short stroll from the seafront and promenade and the many attractions of Eastbourne Pier. For visitors arriving by train, the station is within walking distance, and you can shop 'til you drop at the Eastbourne Arndale centre, before heading back to the hotel for a slap-up meal at our on-site restaurant.

Reception area great and staff nice. Breakfast expensive (not buffet) for what is available on menu. Lift so small we couldn’t get baby pram to our room without bumping it up and down stairs. As a family we had a beach trolley and was good to have storage for this downstairs as the lift and space in the room were too small. Our room was a twin and so small for the nightly charge, beds uncomfortable, stain on bedding, dirty at side of wardrobe, bath old, crack on sink, nowhere to put our cases. Basically the whole room and en-suite needs renewing. We stayed for 2 nights. This is really only a single room due to lack of space As a positive it is great the hotel is near to beach, pier and town and great position for the airshow

Necessitavo di una stanza all'ultimo minuto ed era l'unico disponibile .... guardando le recensioni so perché! Tuttavia non abbiamo avuto qualche di questi problemi. Non senza abitazione intorno, quindi non sapete se l'hotel li sta ancora ospitando. Siamo stati aggiornati a una vista marea due 227 che era un bonus aggiuntivo. La stanza era appena rimasti bianca, quindi ha dato un nuovo senso ma si può vedere che era un lavoro di riparazione rapida. Non c'è nessuna socket vicino allo specchio per fare i capelli/maquillaggio e devi prendere il tuo asciugacapelli. Ho ricevuto una da Reception. I letti erano davvero confortevoli e anche se eravamo sul fronte con le finestre aperte abbiamo dormito tranquille notti. Ci sono WiFi gratuita e tè e caffè in camera che è stato utile. Il bacino è piccolo in un bagno molto piccolo, quindi riempire la caldaia è impossibile. Non ci sono strutture per la catering come il ristorante è chiuso ma non abbiamo bisogno ..... non sa perché ! L'ascensore non funziona e si dice che sia in basso per covid, ma non so quanto sia vero questo tbh! Il posto ha bisogno di aggiornamento e mi ritroverò? Prob non perché non potevo garantire che avrei una sala di vista sul mare che non pagherò £154 per ! Il loro sito web non è una vera riflessione dell'hotel in questo momento, non c'è menzione del chiusura del ristorante che potrebbe essere un problema per alcuni.

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend just gone. The hotel is in major need of updating. We had upgraded to a suite and examples of room 118 would be cupboards under the tv don't line up so don't shut instead rattling everytime you move. The head board was chipped, the quilt was a double so did not fit the king-sized bed, chipped and cracked tiles in the bathroom with a shower screen that would not open at all meaning you had to lean right round to get the taps on. In terms of staff these were probably the only saving grace for the hotel. The breakfast lady was incredibly cheerful but the food offering for breakfast was not the best. It says alcoholic drinks are available and they are.... from a soft drink style fridge right next to the reception desk. There are numerous buttons missing from the lift and most of the finish to the door of it on floor one. This hotel could be incredibly grand with the proper repairs and restoration but sadly it is far from this currently. Would not stay again based on my experience

La stanza era pulita e confortevole e tutto funzionava come dovrebbe. Valore per i soldi. L'hotel è in buona posizione, per la città e la costa. con tutti i bar e caffè. Anche un buon posto per iniziare una passeggiata per la testa di spiaggia fino a sette sorelle, poi indietro, che era l’obiettivo del mio soggiorno.

I took my son & grandson here for a treat thay loved it as thay both used the gym an found it all relaxing with the chilled out alone in reception the staff all 💯 % an go that extra mile for you will be returning in feb & March for my mothers 83 birthday it’s a fabulous place to come an stay alls clean breakfast is good too lots to choose from an extra special looking out at the see an hearing it at nite time while you driff off to sleep 😴 highly recommended an will past the word on to my family an friends 🥂

We book this last minute and what a perfect Gem it was. We were going to be late, so i called ahead to tell them i was still coming. Checking was smooth, Ola the receptionist was so pleasant, check in was quick, she did the car park tickets for me and gave me my room key, number 20, top floor, no noise fantastic views of the sea. Room was fantastic, spacious, cosy, super warm, clean and a small mini fridge, we even had our own christmas tree in our room, perfect, big TV, coffee tea facilities, the shower was very slow, we did asked for them to look at it, which they did, but it was still slow, bed was super soft and 6 pillows. I went down for some ice, had a look around the hotel, I could not find a single fault, no other residence about so it was very quiet, the front seating area looked fab, the bar was well stocked. I asked about a New Year’s Eve booking, but they had been let down by a coachload of booking for new year, so they decided to close over New Year, which I would have jumped at a room. The morning breakfast was a little limited, either cereals or full English breakfast, eggs (how you liked them), bacon sausages, beans , mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread , toasts, my partner prefers a continental breakfast and that limited her to beans on toast. Food was plentiful, perfectly cooked, the ladies who served were lovely, 15 years on staff, so the place must be nice to work for. Saturday night we ate down the road and a new resturant called the Glasshouse, everything was just perfect and very reasonably priced. On our checkout we asked to see other rooms, room 28 has a large corner bath, executive corner room, so I will book that next time. We will use this hotel again for our summer weekend breaks, it really was home from home. Not a single complaint. Don’t change anything.

The Shore View is a bit of a mixed bag: on the one hand, it's location is a good one right on Marine Parade with sea views and a short walk to the Victorian Pier, the Redoubt ruins, and the very lovely centre of Eastbourne with it's shops, amenities and restaurants. Tea-making facilities were available in rooms which was a bonus. And I must mention the staff present were exceptionally polite and reception was friendly and efficient. The hotel is also housed in a gorgeous historic Victorian building but with sadly now-faded glamour. It would take a lot of funds to return it to it's former glory and because of the upkeep it does appear the hotel is struggling with some other aspects of it's offering: the rooms are a decent size but quite dated, some of the linens could have been replaced as showing signs of wear, and - whilst appreciating the hot breakfast offer - the food was not of the best quality: cheaper-brand sausages and mushrooms that appeared to come from a can/tin, not freshly prepared. Coffee was instant, husband was NOT a fan, and customers had to ask for their bread which was handed to them from a tray behind the counter or toasted according to their wishes which took some time. It all felt a bit like necessary cut-backs to keep the place going... All in all, it was ok for a stopover for one night: our family of four had two doubles on the same floor, separated by a little corridor so fairly close together. The rooms were similar, one had a side-sea view but also faced the local pub which then went on to have a Saturday club-night keeping my husband and son awake for quite a while; my room had a larger bathroom but lacked any view which consisted of the back yard and bins of another building, the emptying of which elicited a loud conversation in the morning hours between what I presume were some of the neighbours (?), a shame. We also noted there was a lack of pillows in both rooms, only one flat pillow per person, which we found odd!
