We stayed for 3 nights as a family with children under the age of 6 and had the best time. The hotel service is exceptional, every need was met. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the valet who helped us park the car and take our bags. They reserved our space for us with a board for the whole stay. The children received a kids backpack with hat, yo-yo and colouring in. We went straight down to the health club to the indoor pool. When we came out the reception said our room was now ready and collected the keys for us. Our room was a junior suite, it spotless and sizeable with drinks provided on ice and slippers for everyone. In the evening the children could order complimentary milk and cookies which they loved. The outdoor pool was heated and lovely when the sun was out, this was end of may/June. There also was a waiter serving drinks outside. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and the kids loved have every meal served with a cloche and countdown reveal. The added extras on the service make this a wonderful hotel. The positives far outweigh the negatives, I guess it could do with some new carpets and some new upholstery but the charm of the old building supersedes this and although old it was very clean. The bed mattress was ok, quite soft. The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but ok for young children. We will be back again!! Thank you

Sulla pressione laterale dell'acqua e l'acqua calda molto buona. Purtroppo, svegliati da persone sopra di noi, con un enorme, molto alto domestico, che è stato riportato. Sarebbe stato bello avere offerto un colazione complimentare o qualcosa del genere!

So this place was extremely disappointing! To say dated is being polite. We had booked a 4 night stay. Firstly we arrived and my husband had ti go find parking down a busy main road which you have to pay extra for daily. I took myself to the room only to find the smallest room I've ever seen with the smallest window, it was no bigger than a broom cupboard with the smallest window and it was so hot! There was no fan! I found out later that you have to ask for a fan! Why not leave them in the room when it's hot? It's been the hottest summer. As soon as my husband arrived, he was also little shocked and how small the room was so I called down to reception to find out if they had any bigger rooms and maybe a sea view and luckily there was one avaliable. Of we was staying just a night then I would have made the best of it. It cost another £80 for the upgrade. We went through to the bigger room with a sea view and the lady on reception brough us a fan! It becomes apparent how dated this hotel really is when the pillows on the bed are like rocks. The mattress protector is just old throws layer under the sheets. The bed was two singles pushed together and two single duvets. The beds are old and lumpy. Bearly slept over the 4 nights. The bathroom was terrible! I'm 5ft 3in and the shower over the bath was too low for me. There was hardly any water pressure. There was stains in the old tin like bath. The toilet roll was a tissue paper dispenser. Some random tiles place over the old white tiles over toilet which looked so out of place. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. I won't even start with the off coloured grouting. Two plugs in the whole room so had to keep uploading things whenever we used the kettle! One evening when we returned I went to use the small lift and it was full of cleaning stuff! Another occasion when leaving the room we nearly feel over the cable to the hoover which was plugged across our door and the cable was about a foot of the floor and cleaning supplies all over the floor! This hotel has nothing, no charm, no personal touches. With so many hotels in Eastbourne you'd think you'd want to stand out but I don't think anyone's cared about this place since the 80s. I don't tend to complain but for the price it wasn't worth it, you are paying for the location and not a decent room. The lady who upgraded us was lovely, she was the only good point to this place. I did laugh at the ”no smoking in this vehicle” sticker on the bath of the bathroom door.

Dopo aver letto le recensioni passate, non ci aspettavamo molto, siamo arrivati il primo giorno dell'hotel riapertura, bene, riapertura parziale, e dobbiamo dire, rispetto alle immagini online, l'hotel è su un altro livello, più intelligente, pulito, bello mobili. Siamo stati i primi a usare i mobili nuovi, i primi a usare la nuova TV intelligente. Quando siamo arrivati, siamo stati salutati dal direttore Ashley, che ci ha spiegato tutto in modo così chiaro, da quello che sta accadendo all'hotel, quello che abbiamo prenotato, quello che possiamo fare e la zona locale. Un po' lento da iniziare, ma non era colpa sua, apparentemente un nuovo sistema è stato attuato e ha addestrato un altro membro del personale, siamo stati felici di aspettare che arrivassimo al momento in cui hanno riaperto le loro porte. Inoltre, la squadra è bella, amichevole e molto accogliente, niente era troppo piccolo o troppo grande. La colazione era sorprendente, pasticceria, yogurt, formaggio, bevande, frutta eccetera, di nuovo siamo stati ospitati da Ashley, e supponiamo che .....we sia stato controllato anche da Ashley, checkout, ci ha chiesto come fosse il nostro soggiorno e ci ha auspicato un buon giorno, che bene è, E un gentiluomo così amichevole e divertente. Sicuramente consigliamo e ritorneremo. Non preoccupatevi per le recensioni negative, ci siamo davvero goditi di restare qui.

Noi siamo rimasti in camera 121 , spazioso, nessuna vista ma era solo una base , il più grande rumore di problema sopra qualcuno che camminava in anticipo per ore, tavole di pavimento squillanti , hotel tranquillo, altrimenti .. Parcheggio bene, può essere abominabile dipende dal tempo ma parcheggiamo in avanti entrambe le volte, abbiamo spostato auto.Parcheggio £2, coperto fino alle 11 di mattina, acquistare un altro biglietto per il giorno in cui si può rimanere per il vostro viaggio. Abbiamo acquistato colazione £7.50 ciascuno , acquistare di base adeguato con tosta, bevande calde, frutta, croissant e muffin . Personale tutto molto utile e piacevole , hotel di bilancio ma adeguato

We recently stayed at this beautiful historic hotel on Eastbourne’s stunning seafront. I cannot fault the quality of our stay. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and is an oasis of peace and calm. The dining experience is exquisite and the delicious breakfasts are hearty and plentiful. The staff go out of their way to help and the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The views out to see are breathtaking. We’ve stayed in several hotels in Eastbourne but this one is our absolute favourite by far. We will be returning again and again. Thank you to all the lovely staff for our fantastic weekend.

Il servizio era grande, il lavoratore era davvero carino e siamo arrivati in un momento davvero tardi mentre viaggiavamo da lontano Sicurezza è buona, mentre la costruzione è chiusa e custodiata la notte e la vista sulla spiaggia è bella. Solo in basso è l'hotel ha bisogno di una rivamp, perché alcuni suoi aspetti molto vecchi sembrano e si sentono un po' spaventosi.

Ottima posizione per chi è di passaggio in auto, ma il centro si raggiunge velocemente con la macchina. Bel parcheggio, camera ampia e pulita, letto comodissimo. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione Premier Inn nel pub di fianco, ma ci abbiamo cenato e fatto colazione per conto nostro trovando tutto buono e davvero economico. Straconsigliato.

We stayed at this hotel as we won a voucher and this was the only hotel to accept it in the area. We stayed in room 114 and feel that 3/5 is generous. Communication when booking was very delayed, the room was very tired but had everything needed. The shower head needs Limescale remover, toilet needs fixing to the floor / wall as moved every time it was used. Only 1 towel each, and no floor towel or hand towel provided - we took our own bathrobes so this wasn’t a huge problem for us but was disappointing, the mattress was very soft and the springs had gone, but more worryingly there were no mattress or pillow protectors 🤢 our room did have a balcony which you could sit out on and had a nice view of the pier, the building in front burnt down 3 years ago and there’s still scaffolding up protecting the ruins. This has opened up the view a bit more and sunrise on the day we left was lovely. Our room had doors that opened out onto the balcony which I loved. It is quite noisy being by the road and some of the guests that were staying there while we were there were annoying and loud during the night but this isn’t the hotels fault! Communal spaces were not inviting or even looked open to use including the bar! Can’t comment on breakfast as it wasn’t available when we stayed but this was advised at booking and we quite enjoyed going for a walk and choosing somewhere to eat and highly recommend Nicolettas 2 min walk behind the hotel and the Beach Deck 20 min walk out of the hotel to the left. The location is good as you’re very central but the clock on the pier ringing every 15 minutes 8am-11pm is annoying. Parking permit (£2 per day) outside the hotel is good. Behind the hotel is a good selection of eateries and the Beacon shopping centre. Overall not bad and would probably come back if these small issues were fixed

The hotel is clean and comfortable and friendly staff. I certainly don't have any problems with the hotel. I certainly would recommend this hotel to people looking for a stay, Believe me there are other hotels in Eastbourne that are not nice to stay in Because I have stayed in them. As I can see people already slagging the Carlton Hotel down. They are getting the Bar ready to install more pumps for different Drinks. They Don't serve Breakfast like listed on here on TripAdvisor. But certainly don't worry about previous reviews above about the Carlton Hotel.

Noi siamo rimasti in camera 121 , spazioso, nessuna vista ma era solo una base , il più grande rumore di problema sopra qualcuno che camminava in anticipo per ore, tavole di pavimento squillanti , hotel tranquillo, altrimenti .. Parcheggio bene, può essere abominabile dipende dal tempo ma parcheggiamo in avanti entrambe le volte, abbiamo spostato auto.Parcheggio £2, coperto fino alle 11 di mattina, acquistare un altro biglietto per il giorno in cui si può rimanere per il vostro viaggio. Abbiamo acquistato colazione £7.50 ciascuno , acquistare di base adeguato con tosta, bevande calde, frutta, croissant e muffin . Personale tutto molto utile e piacevole , hotel di bilancio ma adeguato

Abbiamo scelto questo posto per la sua posizione e siamo stati così felici di averlo fatto. Era a pochi passi dalla casa di cura di mia madre e da un buon ristorante. I proprietari sono sempre così amici. La camera da letto aveva un letto abbastanza grande per mio marito di 6'5” e c'era un soggiorno amichevole. Decorazioni chic ovunque. Colazione grande. Sono un celiaco e non c'era problema per loro - salmone fumato e uova! Una camera è più grande dell'altra, ma abbiamo scelto la una con un po'di patio, così ha piovuto tutto il tempo.

Il servizio è stato eccellente e il personale è molto amichevole e gentile. Le aree comuni dell'hotel sono molto belle ma la nostra camera non è certamente 4star!! Letti molto date non sono comodi come mattress dura. Il bagno ha anche bisogno di aggiornamento e di pittura sulla porta del bagno ha bisogno di un buon pulito. Sulla pressione laterale dell'acqua e l'acqua calda molto buona. Purtroppo, svegliati da persone sopra di noi, con un enorme, molto alto domestico, che è stato riportato. Sarebbe stato bello avere offerto un colazione complimentare o qualcosa del genere!
