Fairmont Mountain Bungalows

Nice private cabins, rustic, new refinished bathroom. The air conditioner was handy during our stay with temperatures reaching 27°C during our stay. The only negative being the bed was soft and springy. Quiet and well maintained accommodations. New Thai restaurant on site serves reasonably priced dishes. Definitely would stay there again.

Sort of the type of place your parents took you to in the 60s. Some but not all of the cabins have AC. If you go in a heat wave like we did, check when you book. I was impressed by overhearing conversations about how people came every year. Nice pool which almost made up for the lack of AC. Wifi could be better. Within walking distance to restaurants and groceries.

Perfect cozy little bungalow . Exactly what i was looking for on a snow day. It was very clean and neat. Had all amenities including cooking items. Had a nice fire place . We could get firewood for $12. The place was heated well , had separate heaters in the rooms, living room ans washroom . Very comfortable bed. Service was very good. We checked in late they were still available . Very friendly . There was a bbq machine . Also has other activities outside which were closed due to winter.

The bungalows are quant rustic. The location is great and nature is everywhere around you. Staff are amazing from the time time you check in to when you check out. Cabins come with everything you need minus groceries (you bring yourself). They do provide coffee, tea, sugar, and powered creamer. Now the 3 bedroom cabin we were in had plenty of space newer appliances and good furniture. Sat tv and internet were good as well as a gas fireplace. The cons on the cabin we had were it needs a through cleaning but more over needs to be renovated. You can tell this resort has been here for sometime and needs work. The pool area is very nice and recently upgraded. Some of the cabin closer to the pool has been renovated and look very nice. As long as you are not expecting luxury you will find this place okay. I didn’t mind and can see the potential of what it will be in the future.

Our two bedroom cabin was perfect for our stay in Fairmont. The cabin was vintage and had everything you needed for a stay. Our patio overlooked the park area and our grandkids spent lots of time playing in the park and in the three story play fort. The pool area was very nice and seems brand new. We had our own BBQ on the patio which was awesome. There were a variety of people staying here from families to couples, and everyone seemed to be smiling. Lots of space in between the cabins so you never felt like there were to many people around. This place took me back in time. Loved it.

Very nice cottage, a quiet location, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy bed, and very clean. Friendly staff. Accessible from the main road, easy to find the cottages. There is a pool available as well - didn't have a chance to use as we stayed for 1 night only.

None of the (large, ground level) windows on our cabin could be locked or secured closed in any way. Most of them didn’t have screens so they were essentially like unlocked doors, giving easy access to our cabin to anyone. We requested them to be fixed as soon as we noticed (the first evening of our stay) but didn’t receive any response. The second day we tried again and were ultimately told they would be fixed the following (third) day. Very frustrating as all we needed was a few wooden pieces to be cut so that we could put them in the window frames so the windows couldn’t slide open. Staff tried to downplay our concern and also admitted that none of the cabins on the property have windows that lock.

-Family suite : Cabin 18 (blue) -easy access off hwy (but speed limit is 100kms/hr in a location that should have speed reduced to 50kms/hr) *** -did not notice road noise *** -Located across from nice sized, gated pool with NEW pool house /showers / indoor and outdoor lounging **** -shared deck with #17 & #19 each with outdoor plastic tables & chairs as well as BBQ’s (great for group bookings ****but not great if you want privacy **) -One bedroom with queen bed. One queen bed in main area (tv, small sofa, kitchenette) : beds are older & NOT “boutique hotel”quality, old sheets with newer bed comforters that are warm enough. ** - air conditioning unit in bedroom** -older bathroom with new walk-in shower installed with good water pressure *** -old kitchen with newer, apartment sized red fridge ** -small wood table and chairs ** -tv with decent channel options *** -bright outdoor lights on deck 24/7 with no option to turn off at night ** -well appointed with all you need to cook meals (dinnerware, utensils, etc) *** -small fee if you do not leave the kitchenette clean ** -friendly, helpful staff **** -check in/out was quick and painless **** -Charming, aged property with a variety of cabin options. Each quite unique, with its own distinct personality. I prefer the 1bdrm private cabins, even if they are old. -Resort is getting updated and looks a bit better each year we come and stay -This was our 3rd time at FMB. -Personally I will not book this cabin again due to the aged condition and older, squeaky beds. -very, very expensive (comparatively) so sadly I won’t be booking here again and will explore the other numerous accommodations in the area with prices that align more appropriately with the quality we desire at the price we paid
