The hosts are the sweetest people, who go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. We really enjoyed getting to know them. Breakfast was fantastic. The bed was comfy. The view and proximity to St. Clair Beach were highlights, and our hosts gave us great recommendations for dinners and tours.

The whole house is not very large so you really are staying in amongst the hosts. There is one large kitchen/diner/sitting room and add into the mix a mad dog and it was pretty chaotic at times. I was uncomfortable taking mugs from their drawers and making drinks being watched by the hosts. Our room contained a lot of furniture and bits and pieces and the bathroom was next door to the bedroom. There was no private space other than your bedroom. On two occasions the dog stole clothes from my bedroom. The bed was comfy, the views amazing but you need a car as the hill is very steep and the restaurants are in the town. Breakfast was varied, something for everyone but you ate surrounded by the hosts and the dog! This wasn’t the place for me and i wouldn’t stay there again. If you like this intimacy then enjoy.
