The Farmers Inn

We had an absolutely fantastic time (despite the rainy weather!) The owner and staff were amazingly friendly, relaxed and helpful. I'd definitely recommend staying here to friends and family: Comfy rooms, delicious food (please try the English breakfast there!) and a cosy pub atmosphere in the bar.

Arriving late afternoon we were shown a motel style room across the car park from the cosy pub. Room was perfect, warm on a cold , grey day and although the bar wasn’t open for another two hours, we were kindly allowed to have a pint in our room. Evening meal was delicious and it was lovely to see options for vegetarian. Beer was nice. Cooked vegetarian breakfast was perfect. We found we had some things in common with the owners, which was nice. Overall, a nice little last minute treat after a great day of walking in Annan. Definitely recommend

It was nice to be able to park right outside the room door.The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom also had plenty of room with an excellent shower. The bed was very comfortable. We ate in the evening. The food was very good and the service friendly and efficient. The breakfast was at 8.30 on the Saturday morning. This was very good. Overall an excellent stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night only thank goodness! Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The meal we had in the pub was very nice as was our breakfast the following morning even though we were told on arrival that it would be served between 8 and 8.30 with no exceptions. The only thing that lets this place down are the owners who were the most unfriendly individuals I have ever encountered in a bed and breakfast. I was so shocked as one of the things that attracted us to stay here were the wonderful reviews with much emphasis on the friendliness of the owners. It makes me wander if we are all talking about the same place because friendliness was nowhere in sight quite the opposite. We were made to feel so unwelcome and we definately well not be returning!

Nicely situated in a quite spot , regular buses to Dumfries and back . lovely rooms ,nice bar owner and staff very friendly and helpful.excellent food good beers .the owner came over to chat with us about where we were from and what our visit was about ,he was a very interesting gentleman and we really enjoyed our chats with him .our rooms were lovely and clean ,comfy beds , lovely shower the water was hot , plenty clean towels ,TV in the rooms free WiFi in the rooms and in the bar .the local clientele were friendly and we enjoyed our chat with them .the bus drivers were friendly and helpful and advised us to get the saver bus ticket ,we caught the bus into Dumfries spent some their and met up with Scottish relatives,another day caught the bus into Dumfries then another bus into lochmaben and visited Lockerbie then met cousins back in lochmaben and back to the Farmers Inn for an excellent evening meal .

Visited for lunch in the afternoon with my family. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Service and food was lovely. Such friendly owner and staff. Food was lovely and brilliant pub food. Would definitely return being such a nice area. Perfect for what we wanted and needed. There are also lovely rooms to stay in if needing a place to stay over. Thank you.
