Hotel in zona Museo delle Storie d'Amore, Dubrovnik

Il servizio non poteva essere migliore. L'ostello Angelina sembra avere 6 località (non conosciuto a quel tempo) e siamo arrivati al palazzo nord alle 10 pm dopo la chiusura della reception, nonostante avesse una prenotazione al pa meridionale. Tuttavia, riuscimmo a informare qualcuno, e poi ci siamo lasciati entrare e controllati correttamente, anche se eravamo in un posto sbagliato; ci erano letti liberi, quindi nonostante il nostro errore tutto era stato risolto per noi. Il ricevitore era anche fuori, ma ci ha aiutati. Grazie mille!

As many of the other reviews state this hotel is not in the old city - it is a 20min walk (about 2km) down to the old city, which in the heat of the midday sun can be an issue for some, particularly if you are trekking uphill back to the hotel. The best alternative option is to catch the #4 bus from the Pile Gate and then get off on the 4th stop which is 100m away from the hotel (4min bus ride). There are not a large number of reasonable restaurants close by and the on-premises Bosnian restaurant (Taj Mahal) cannot be booked to the room. It is a mid-range hotel built in the 1970s, so it does have an older feel. It is not that large, with just over 150 rooms but larger than the boutique hotels we were used to staying it on our Croatian trip. We stayed in one of their classic rooms - without any view (unless you count the adjoining building as a view). The double bed was just two single beds pushed together, which meant disappearing down the crevice in-between regularly during the night. I'd suggest booking a superior room, which are larger, more modern, in the newer wing of the hotel and include a bathtub. The Wi-Fi was easy to access and relatively fast. The air conditioning only be turned on when the room key was inserted, which meant, dependent on the room orientation, you could come back to a warm room which might take some time to cool down. They only supplied one bottle of water for entire stay, which they could easily address. The swimming pool is fairly small, almost always in shade and can only be accessed via the lobby (doesn't have any change facilities by the pool). We arrived in the morning, well before the 2pm check-in, and whilst they stored our luggage and offered us use of the pool whilst we waited there really wasn't anywhere to get changed and take up the offer. The breakfast, included in the room tariff, was a reasonable quality with a relatively choice of options however it didn't vary at all during our five-day stay. The lobby/foyer can get congested at times when larger tour groups arrive, with all their luggage in tow. The staff were polite and endeavoured to help us where they could. Not my favourite accommodation in Croatia but serviceable for what we needed.

Suite aux travaux du Hilton, nous avons dû changer de réservation et avons opté pour le City Hotel ; et nous ne regrettons pas, bien au contraire ! Nous avons eu de magnifiques chambres super spacieuses avec carrément un toit terrasse avec vue sur la marina ! Les chambres étaient très propres et la salle de bain très fonctionnelle. Le personnel et très amical, en particulier le manager du petit-déjeuner qui est formidablement serviable. Par contre, le petit-déjeuner, bien que complet, est décevant en terme de qualité (la confiture est une gelée industrielle, par exemple) et pourrait donc être amélioré. Toutefois, nous avons beaucoup apprécié que l'on puisse nous apporte des oeufs ou des croissants à la commande. Nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel si nous sommes à nouveau de passage à Dubrovnik.

Nice hotel. Located on the outskirts of Dubrovnik but only 5 minutes from the fortress by Uber (€5-€8). Clean quiet room with great views although the best panoramic view is from the restaurant. Good breakfast with good variety of foodstuffs. They serve buffet dinner at the restaurant but we chose to go by the menu which is limited but the food is good too. Excellent staff, affable and helpful. If you drive there from the airport go straight on Rt 8, don't follow the GPS lead to the town center. They provide free parking.

Very nice hostel, we had a room on third floor, not facing the sea, it was really clean and quite. We stayed for 3 days, room was cleaned daily. I think that all rooms have bathrooms. Location is really good, bus stop is near, you can reach the Old city in 10 minutes by bus, or have a 40 min walk to get there. Hostel has a private parking, and 24 hour reception. This is a hostel, so don't expect minibar or fridge in the room, there is just liquid soap in the bathroom, no hair dryer, nor those little shampoos and soaps etc. Not sure where you can dry swimwear and towels if you go to the beach. All in all, very good place to stay for a few days, for more than a fair price.

Quando ho mostrato la stanza, ho chiesto se potesse essere cambiata. La vista era grigia, sopra le cucine che erano rumorose e c'era un forte odore di cibo. Abbiamo cambiato in una stanza molto migliore il giorno dopo. Il colazione era OK, ma il pasto era basilare. Il pudding era lo stesso ogni notte, tagliato il frutto, un tipo di pudding bianco o piccole piazze pasticce. In giorni veramente caldi, una scoppa di gelatina sarebbe stata perfetta. Abbiamo deciso di mangiare una sera e abbiamo chiesto se potessimo fare un pasto per pranzo. Il pranzo era molto più economico, ma non era consentito. Non c'era alcuna negoziazione che fosse cattiva, come la maggior parte degli hotel lo faranno. La bottiglia più economica di vino era 30 euro che ho pensato eccessivo. L'hotel era a pochi passi dalla spiaggia piacevole, che era molto buono per nuotare. La piscina dell'hotel era molto buona e nel settembre abbiamo sempre trovato un letto solare. Penso che devono essere un po' più immaginabili con il pasto serale per assicurare il ritorno dei clienti.

La posizione è buona, guidare dieci minuti dalla città antica, la stanza è molto tranquilla. Il ristorante per la colazione è splendido e ricco di tipi. Il servizio è buono, il personale è molto bello.

We had a beautiful sea view room on 4th floor with nothing but the sea & islands to see when stepped out onto the balcony. Great location for watching the sunset from many locations either on the waterfront, roof top bar or our own balcony. Breakfast was the usual expected fare and whilst there we experienced very busy and very quiet times. Staff were always on hand to get anything you may need Location was perfect, a short 15 minute 2 euro bus ride to Old town - easy to navigate as both the hotel and Old town are 'end of the line' so can't get lost! Peaceful and pretty 15 walk to more bars and restaurants at Sunset Beach on way or hour walk around the land to the new port area. Housekeeping - cleaned and tidied the room each day, had to occasionally ask for more tea / coffee / milk although it wasn't a problem as we just got some in the morning at breakfast. Was a little early some days (for us) but we just put the do not disturb sign out and removed it when we went down for breakfast Was the perfect base for our week away and would love to return when we next go to Dubrovnik
