Copthorne Airport Hotel Dubai

This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Dubai. Everything in the hotel feels old and depressing. The room smells so bad. The water is very low. The room's door needs a miracle to open.

The check in was pathetic. It took a longtime even though we were second in line. We will never use Trip again as the booking did not reflect in the system at hotel although I had mails and email confirmation. Contacting Trip was of no use.

Got a free stay there from Emirates as we had a 12hr layover in Dubai, got a free room and meal. Easy shuttle from the airport to the hotel, to/from. We had to book this via "Dubai Connect" after we booked our flights. We received our hotel/shuttle vouchers when we checked in for our flight. Upon arrival in Dubai, you need to go through immigration which was quick and easy, and then find the Emirates Hotel Desk at the exit area. Our bags were checked through to our destination so we only had our hand luggage. We also got a free Dubai sim card with 1GB data upon arrival, which we didn't need but is handy to have if staying longer. The shuttle to the hotel comes every 15-20 mins. Check-in at the hotel was ok, there was a bit of a wait as they seem to process batches of passengers arriving at all times, but can't complain as it was free! Overall it's a decent hotel for a short rest, the food was ok, not a lot of selection but ok for a meal. You also get free wifi which wasn't the best but usable. The rooms were very basic but large and clean, beds were massive and comfy. There's no tea/coffee amenities. There's a cafe next to the reception where you can purchase drinks, cakes and other snacks. The free meal is at their main restaurant which has a very limited buffet but the food was decent. The hotel itself is only a 5 mins drive from the airport so convenient. I wouldn't recommend this for an actual vacation stay, but for a quick layover it's fine. The hotel itself is separated into 2, the Copthorne part is used exclusively by Emirates for layover passengers, and the other section (much nicer) is the Millennium which can be booked by anyone I presume.

Copthorne Airport Hotel Dubai is available for private booking at a very very low price always but most guests that stay here are Emirates Airline stranded passengers who either missed the connecting flight or have ultra long transit times in their itinerary. I was also a victim of delay. My flight from Heathrow was delayed so my connecting flight was missed. Much to my annoyance, I was handed the hotel voucher as I disembarked my plane along with a new Boarding pass to next flight after 14 hours. I was transferred to Hotel by the airline through their shuttle bus. From fact that I didn't have to pay to the preoccupation of being late to my destination, I kept my expectations very low when I entered the hotel among 20 other Emirates guests given same offer. The check-in itself was quite mechanical as expected but very quick. I was content with the fact that in 3 minutes of check-in, the receptionist informed me about next day breakfast. He also told me about my shuttle time to airport following day for the rescheduled flight. I took the luggage myself to my room, another fact I can tolerate considering the stay was not for leisure purpose. I went to the third floor towards my room, this is where things turned south. The Corridor to rooms is covered by carpet which most probably hasn't been washed or changed ever. Full of dust and smell. Anyways, I entered my room expecting any disaster. Surprisingly my room was quite tidy, totally contrast to the antique corridor outside. Basic amenities off course but bed was comfortable and size was good. I didn't want to stay because of strange depressive mood the hotel was giving, So I went out to my favorite cafe at SZR and slept around 5 am on my return. I slept well as bed was comfy and there was no noise to disturb me. The hotel is mostly filled by guests who are tired and dejected from their missed flights, sleeping for next day venture to come. I woke up at breakfast time. Here also another surprise welcomed me. The Menu is quite above average. Nearly everything included, even fresh egg station. Drinks, juices and tea all provided. It isn't luxury breakfast but better than expected. After the breakfast I went to my room for a quick shower and then to check-out counter. Check-out was again quite SILENT MODE but quick. They have a baseline attitude for all customers coming and going that they maintain. They don't get to gain regular customers so they don't render that smile. Fortunately they are also not rude so its something in the middle of road that didn't bother me much. After check-out I headed for my shuttle to Airport. It was an overnight stay, I didn't pay and I was in room for few hours. Still I cannot recommend this to someone who are paying from their pockets. If you are very tight budgeted, then may be you will tolerate it. As for the Emirates passengers, an airline of such repute and standard can do better for their passengers to choose a better hotel or at least improve service

We stayed with the Hotel on 8th Jun'23 under the Dubai connect program We called Sherry at the restaurant & mentioned that we would need Jain Vegetarian food for us during the dinner, although they assured that all the buffet food will be provided as Jain Vegetarian we were served only one item as Jain i.e. the lentil, none of the staff were responding to our issue neither Sherry turned up. When we spoke to Sajjad at the restaurant who we were shocked to receive his reply that they can prepare only one item i.e. the lentils as Jain Vegetarian & also went on to add that since there are very few Jain passengers they cannot prepare any additional items. His remarks not only turned out to be insensitive but also racist if I may put it that way. Even Mr. Muhammad at the Front desk Mr. Muhammad couldnt address the issue neither the Manager was made available. We had expected better from Emirates who has set high standards of service & has no tolerance for such racist behaviour with their passengers.

Excellent place. Comfortable. Food arrangement they make Veg separately. Adil Aga as made our stay Comfortable. Looking forward to visit Again. Dubai futur protected in good hands. Best wishes for time to come.
