Booked this place as it was cheap and handy for the autobahns, not expecting very much in terms of luxury given the price. And we weren't disappointed, the room really could do with a refurb, nothing dirty or uncomfortable, but everything in it looking very tired. That said, the old style bathroom was better in design than a lot of new ones, and it isn't of the plastic one piece you sometimes find in Ibis. However, we loved it here. All the staff were great, nothing was a hassle either with the stay or finding the place, and there is a cool backdrop of BVB's stadium you can get a pic of. Would definitely return, the place is tired, but it's not expensive, it's easy to get to and the staff are great

Wir hatten vor kurzer Zeit ein Zimmer im Hotel Dortmund gebucht; die Lage ist perfekt für einen Besuch (auch zu Fuß) ins Dortmunder Stadion oder in die Innenstadt. Das Hotel liegt im sehr ruhigen Gebiet des Technologiezentrums und fernab von lauten Durchgangsstraßen. Die Nächte waren sehr angenehm und erholsam. Da wir zöliakiebetroffen sind, fiel unsere Wahl auf dieses Hotel – denn bereits im Vorfeld der Buchung hatten wir einen sehr netten E-Mail Verkehr mit kompetenten Ansprechpartnern, die sich mit diesem Thema gut auskannten und die Möglichkeit eines glutenfreien Aufenthalt versprachen. Dies wurde uns dann bei unserem dortigen Besuch ohne Probleme ermöglicht. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist bis auf wenige Ausnahmen generell glutenfrei und die Brötchen/Brote werden separat aufgebacken. Abendessen wäre ebenfalls glutenfrei machbar gewesen , dieses haben wir aber aus terminlichen Gründen nicht wahrnehmen können. Alles in allem perfekte Location für einen glutenfreien Aufenthalt.

Onorevoli lettori, in quanto ospite insoddisfatto, vorrei condividere la mia esperienza in questo hotel, e innanzi tutto devo dire che la posizione centrale dell'hotel è positiva. Anche l'incredibile hall d'ingresso di marmo rosso in stile orientale mi è piaciuto molto bene. La mia camera al 5° piano era grande e ha offerto una buona vista sulla città. Purtroppo, questo è l'hotel che attraversa due principali strade. Ciò significa che il traffico è molto forte intorno all'orologio e soprattutto di notte, quando la scena del Poser qui prova le sue auto PS potenti, io sono stato svegliato di notte. Anche le attrezzature sono semplici e sono arrivati negli anni. Il giardino mi ha incontrato subito quando mi ha sollevato, perché la stanza era difettosa e non si è più fissata, e la camera molto luminosa era un grande problema, perché ho sentito ogni rumore dalle camere vicine. La colazione è stata una grande delusione, poiché sono stati utilizzati prodotti di minore qualità che sono disponibili sul mercato più economici. In generale, è stata l'ultima volta che ho soggiornato in questo hotel. Il secondo giorno sono andato a fare la mia dolce mattina in una pasticceria. Un arrivo precoce è stato ricevuto spontaneamente dal personale amichevole e siamo riusciti a trovare la camera spaziale, pulita e moderna. Il bagno era del tutto buono perché ci è anche pensato all'uomo più lungo, super. I suggerimenti sono stati condivisi dal personale in città e la mattina una buona colazione che poteva essere mangiata fuori. Questo ha funzionato così rilassato che il tempo di partenza è stato perso, anche che non è un problema. Un hotel con le persone giuste a bordo. Top! Saluta N&S

Stayed here while attending Dortmund football match. Location : Great location, literally around the corner from main shopping district with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Great area. The underground train station is around the corner and the main train station about 20 mins walk or less. Rooms: Our room was nice (117) we had 3 in our party so the room had one double bed and a pull out sofa bed which was a double. It left the room with hardly any space to walk around so was quite tight. The decor was nice. However the seal on the window was damaged so you could actually feel the breeze getting in (during snow weather) The tv had only one English Channel so wasn’t great. BE WARNED check if there is any party’s or function on in the hotel if you are staying in this room as there was a party on while we stayed and literally felt like the dj was in our wardrobe the music was that loud. Singing and talking could even be heard clearly. I did say it to girl in reception the next morning and she apologised but literally got no sleep until music stopped. Bar/Food: We did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment. Restaurant decor was ok, very 1920’s feel. There is a very small bar that usually only opens from 5pm-12pm however one of the days they opened for us to have a drink at 3:30pm which was no bother for them, they were very nice and a special mention to Ben the new Barman from the UK. He’s great! Breakfast wasn’t great, but that may be just us that’s used to Irish style food. Not much hot food on offer, pancakes and plenty fab pastries though. If going to a Dortmund match : We travelled to Dusseldorf airport and got the sky train into the main train station on to Dortmund €16.50 each one way. It was difficult to find out correct trains ect as very bad signage at airport and trains so do your homework before you get there. It took us over an hour to figure it out. Train journey from airport was 50 mins. We got a taxi from our hotel to signal iduna park and it took 8 mins and costs €14. Easy to get taxis after match too which was surprising.
