Very cosy and clean little hotel. Nice room with a superb wiew over the hills. One of my he best breakfasts I have had lately. The only minus I can think of is that there are not enough parking space.

We have stayed here a few times with friends for a Pfalz wine tour. It is located at the north end of the wine region. Affordable, clean, nice rooms, good breakfast. Parking in front of the hotel for free.

Zimmer sind in Ordnung, Reinigung erfolgt aber nur jeden 3. Tag (nach 2 Übernachtungen) zusätzliche Zimmerreinigung kostet 7,50 Euro/Tag. Hoteleigener Parkplatz kostet 2,00 Euro/Tag, oder kostenlos auf der Straße parken. Es ist empfehlenswert, wenn man den Abend in der Gaststätte verbringen möchte, einen Tisch zu reservieren. Ohne Reservierung kann es passieren, dass man dort zwar wohnt, aber abends zum Essen nach Grünstadt fahren muss. Man erhält schon bei der Ankunft eine Liste mit vielen Gaststätten in der Umgebung. In Asselheim selbst gibt es keine weiteren Lokalitäten, weshalb wir dieses Hotel zukünftig nicht mehr buchen werden. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, die Brötchen eine Katastrophe. Nur aufgebackene Rohlinge, blass wie die Wand, nicht vom Bäcker. War vor ca. 5 Jahren noch wesentlich besser. Personal ist freundlich mit Ausnahme des Herren welcher morgens ums Büfett herumschleicht. Dieser könnte mehr auf die Gäste eingehen.

Wir hatten zwei schöne Tage mit unserem Sohn. Wir wurden sehr gut betreut und beraten und haben uns jederzeit sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbuffett war sehr lecker und mit großer Auswahl. Die Käseauswahl hätte vielseitiger sein dürfen, hat aber keinen Abbruch getan. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und modern eingerichtet und mit tollem Blick ins Grüne und auf den Ort (wir hatten ein Eckzimmer) Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Das Pfalzhotel wirkt wie aus der Zeit gefallen. Die Qualität des Frühstücks ist nicht sehr hoch und vegan gibt es wenn überhaupt nur auf Vorbestellung. Meine Frage, ob es vegane Milchalternativen gibt wurde mit einer abfälligen Bemerkung vom Chef selbst kommentiert. Das Gemüse und das Obst sind lieblos angerichtet und von schlechter Qualität und der Käseaufschnitt für Vegetarier ist billig und aus der Packung. Kaffee schmeckt gruselig. Die Zimmer sind okay, aber nicht sehr modern. Für den Preis gibt es wesentlich schönere und vor allem freundlichere Unterkünfte in der Gegend.

Die Anreise war problemlos. Kostenloser Parkplatz am Hotel. Freundlicher Empfang. Test vor Ort. Zimmer funktionell, wenn auch Bad etwas klein. Leider war man über mehrerer Tage nicht in der Lage eine anständige Temperatur im Zimmer zu ermöglichen. Coronamaßnahmen vordergründig sehr strikt dann aber vom Serviceleiter ohne Maske nicht mehr umgesetzt.
