I have recently spent 11 days at this hotel and it is badly let down by the a la carte restaurants which are simply not unlimited. As per the other reviews, the system is not fit for purpose and leads to lots of unwelcome stress. I note that almost all other reviews that are positive reference staff member names and I think that's because the only way to get reservations is to form a relationship with a staff member. The booking system on the app simply does not get you a booking. I say this because I was told I could only book through the app, but when I offered a healthy "tip" half way through my holiday, I suddenly gained 3 bookings in a row. Incredible what money does, but it was grubby to have to do this. My advice is that if you are going you need to pay one of the guest relations a tip and you should then get some bookings (I think I'm the only one who got bookings being honest about this). I'm leaving this review because this isn't how it should be and they need a fair system. The a la cartes don't have the capacity for the size of hotel - so just allocate everyone a number of bookings based on length of stay. The a la carte situation is compounded by the fact the food is so much better than the buffet. The a la carte food was great but the buffet was unexciting, samey, often cold and very little done fresh / cooking stations. Positives are it's very clean and the waterpark is great for kids, albeit the water was very cold in May (they have some heated pools though). The funfair is great, the facilities are good for kids. I wouldn't go back unless they sort the a la carte situation out.
