Tropical Marina & Resort on Lake Beresford

This was our first trip here, and it was very nice. The office was very accommodating with late check in and moving our pontoon rental to the next day due to rain. The room was nice and we liked the close parking spaces so you didn't have to carry your luggage any distance. Parking is tight in the back when everyone has big vehicles, but we had no problems. The office has ice, drinks, firewood and tshirts for sale. There are 2 nice restaurants nearby and the Winn Dixie store up the road. If you need a cold beer, or mixed drink, there is a vintage biker bar (smoking allowed inside) next door - no food however you can have Papa Johns Pizza delivered at the bar or to your resort room very quickly. The room was like a mini cabin with a covered back porch so you could sit outside even if it rains. The only minor issues we had were the shower liner and curtain didn't match up so we had water on the floor, we had to watch a youtube video to figure out how to switch the above the door air conditioning unit to heat, because there weren't any directions, and the sliding glass door wouldn't stay on the track and 2 took people to open and close it. However , overall we really liked the place, and will definitely return. The help was all very friendly, and there was always someone working on the grounds. It looks very well kept. The pontoon rental offers several places to eat on the river, and the office provides you a map.

This is a lovely get-away location, with great peeks of wildlife. The buildings are older but well-maintained and clean. Comfortable bed with clean linens. No pretense or paying extra for mediocre amenities. We appreciated the kitchenette and the shared green space courtyard. Nice access to the lake. Quick drive into town for groceries and dining options! This would be a great location for a family reunion, crafter's retreat or gathering for a wedding. Don't just get a block of rooms at a hotel when you could snag the whole place! We will be back!

Tropical Resort and Marina is a nod to Old Florida. The spanish moss draping from the oak trees and the lake view from our rooms provided a peaceful and comfortable feeling of relaxing lake cabins. The rooms are older, but charming. It is NOT a hotel chain on a highway. It is nestled on a Lake, providing opportunities for fishing, and pontoon boat rental. They had a food truck on Sunday that added a relaxed camp feel. The 2 bedroom has a kitchen and living area We enjoyed the pool, the fishing pier and the firepit in the evening. We enjoyed local restaurants and Blue Springs. They are pet friendly, The staff was very responsive to our needs. Our family spent 3 days there and felt very peaceful. We all decided we will be coming back.

Location is so beautiful & peaceful. I loved walking around the lake each morning. Rooms are clean & comfortable. And the employees are so courteous, welcoming & patient. I very much enjoyed my stay.

A perfect mix of old & new. Our room (203) even had an old school thermostat control. I asked Aaron to relay to the owners to not change a thing about the property. We loved the foliage, the staff, the room, & the location. Tested the waters for a quick 2 night visit, but plan on returning to rent a pontoon boat & go kayaking or maybe a river boat tour.

tropical Resort & Marina is a gem of ‘Old Florida’ with shady Oaks, picnics benches, fire pit, pool & marina for your boat or you can rent a Pontoon. The accommodations are simple, quiet, and all our neighbors were friendly. The staff was chill & pleasant. We rented the pontoon & had the lake and rivers almost all to ourselves, even on Labor Day!

Went there for our new Poker Run. Lori and company was more than accommodating. Beautiful well maintained property looking forward to our next visit. Would recommend this resort to anyone looking to experience old Florida

This hotel is like going back in time where there is no stress. Easy feeling and relaxation. It is NOT a Four Season or Ritz! And it’s NOT meant to be. Come he with close friends and family for fellowship amd good times. The pool, fire pit, marina and shuffle boards are all like what we had when we were kids in the 70s and 80’s. Room are always updated and clean. Come here and chill. Throw a way your phone and turn off face book you will be better for it.

This place is awesome a little bit different, but very clean and comfortable and everybody was super nice and courteous. I got a two bedroom suite very comfortable super clean all on one floor no slamming doors like a regular hotel no noise like a regular hotel and the best thing about it is they take animals it doesn’t matter how many or how big they are you can bring your dogs which to me is the best thank you all so much. It was a wonderful experience. I will be back.😆
