Oltre all'hotel immaginato, molto buono, situato sulla costa di Daoyun, ha un bellissimo sorgere del sole. Thalatta with it’s cheerful & accomodating staff, amazing swimming pool, breathtaking views, well maintained property and functional rooms is one of the best places to stay for a Apo island / Dauin trip. It’s very expat friendly with honest pricing! Patrick, his wife, Camille, G and the rest of the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay and could enjoy our trip with our 1 year old. Great amenities for snorkeling/ diving, land transfer arrangements as well as Apo Island tours! Would highly recommend Thalatta to all serious divers & families alike who just want a relaxing vacation, they cater to all needs.

Per un hotel a 5 stelle, non sembra e non vale certo il prezzo. - Poveri servizi (per esempio, offrono un piccolo bar sottile di sapone come lavatrice di corpo. Perché non offrono lavatrice di corpo liquido? Inoltre, alcuni asciugamani sono stati sovrasfruttati) - puliscono le camere/bagni e cambiano le tue asciugamani dopo 3 giorni invece di ogni giorno. In generale, il nostro soggiorno era ok (grande camere e bella piscina), ma mancava di servizi e formazione del personale. Ci sono più cons che pro. Chiunque possieda questo hotel sembrano risparmiare troppo a costo. Non rimarrò mai in nessuno degli hotel Henry nelle Filippine.

I'm conflicted by my stay here, so I'll just lay out the pros and cons. Pros: Absolutely great dive shop. First and foremost, thank you to Gabby who was my divemaster for all my dives. He is phenomenal and a huge asset to Mike's. Jonathan who manages the diving also provided good service. The rental gear was in excellent condition except for the booties which have seen better days but got the job done. They took me and one other guy to Apo island which I do not think is a profitable trip for them with just 2 customers, but they knew how much time we had at Mike's and made it work for us. Gabby also took me out on a solo night shore dive (which was incredible). Not all dive shops will do this. Corri who manages Mike's also provided excellent customer service. She responded promptly to my emails and then gave me her number so I could Whatsapp her to coordinate a transfer from the ferry. And then after I had an issue with my A/C (see below), she thanked me for saying something so I told her all my complaints as they happened (nothing in this review will be a surprise to them), and she did her very best to resolve them. She never once blamed me as being high maintenance, at least not to my face. And really, I'm not high maintenance. Mike's just has some issues that it needs to address. The wifi was really good and it worked in my room. This is a big deal and a rarity in the Philippines when you get outside the big cities. Mixed: Mike's restaurant has a fairly large menu, and there's a full page of Mexican foods as Mike himself is from California, where I lived for many years. I had the seafood burrito and it was bad. The seafood itself was fine although perhaps not the kinds I would expect to see in a seafood burrito, but ingredient availability plays into that. The real issue is that the flavor was well off. Now perhaps I was foolish to get Mexican food in the Philippines, but I think that if you put something on your menu, you should be proud of it, and this dish was not something to be proud of. Corri did tell me that she and Mike were going to order the seafood burrito the next day and reevaluate it, so again I appreciate her taking my complaint seriously. On the other hand, I had one of the Filipino soup dishes (I can't remember the name) and it was tasty. The breakfasts were also good. So food is a mixed bag, and perhaps you'll be fine if you stick to breakfast and Filipino food. Cons: The biggest con by far is that the bed is uncomfortable. The mattress is a 3 inch piece of soft foam. That simply doesn't cut it. As a side sleeper, my hips were hitting the slats below. Corri again took my complaint seriously and brought me a second mattress to put on top of the first. This helped but these mattresses are so soft, it's still not conducive to a good night's sleep. I stayed in several other places across the Philippines during my trip, including places significantly cheaper than Mike's, and all of my mattresses

Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti a Vida Holmes a Dauin, *****s Oriental, Filippine. I condotti erano straordinari. Erano spaziosi, luminosi e domestici. Era un resort molto rilassante. Abbiamo avuto un condominio di secondo piano con un balcone eccezionale per godere le serata e belle viste della proprietà. Il cibo era eccezionale. In futuro ci ritroveremmo in questo resort. Puli, aria e comodo.

In generale è stata una buona esperienza e penso che questa sia probabilmente la migliore opzione a Dumaguete, che per qualche motivo ha una selezione molto limitata di hotel. Il buono: - Le camere sono ragionevolmente grandi. Hanno solo due camere quando abbiamo prenotato. Anche se sono di base, sono aggiornate, pulite e ragionevolmente spaziose - La camera da bagno è di buona qualità, con le attese di servizi come lo shampoo, kit di tostapane, ecc. La doccia è spaziale. - Il condizionatore per pareti funziona bene - portano la colazione inclusa nella tua stanza. Scegliete ogni giorno una serie di opzioni Filipino. We stayed only overnight at this unique beautiful botique hotel as we have to fly the following day to Manila . We were immediately greeted by a very special and charming lady by the name of February, very sweet and charming ! Welcome drink was really timely after 1 hour ride from Zambuanquita where we had our hotel for the Apo island diving the night before. What makes this hotel special is how friendly and accommodating the staff were, not to mention the Philippine hut style “igloo” & beautiful interior design.The role model for how to “treat” a guest is the GM & Operations Manager, Marlon Navarro. I am a Filipino expat who had lived over 40 years in Europe and just on a diving & golf safari with my buddy but I have never seen an “over the top” hospitality from a hotel manager. Marlon answered all our enquiries including where to have a nice dinner, bar to hang out, sightseeing and spa. For spa, don’t miss the hotel spa especially with Jess - one of my best massages in the Philippines. Also, as Marlon noticed that I have an Austrian guest who is a little bit inquisitive about the area, brought us even by himself to the Boulevard as my friend is quite tall for a “tuktuk” (our local Tricicle). I wish UNWND all the success in the world and without a doubt, with Marlon under it’s helm, it will be the top hotel in Dumaguete in due time. Thank you so much for this “unusual “ experience!
