Grandpas Hotel & Restaurante

We had the best lunch to celebrate our son's graduation. The food was delicious, they cooked it really fast and the prices were balanced. I really think this is the best food we ever had in Cartago! Definitely we recommend it!

We booked this hotel as we were looking for a hotel near vulvano Irazu. We did not expect to stay in such a lovely place. We stayed in a house with two queen beds, the room was big enough and spotless clean. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept and the food in the restaurant is delicious. Cathago is about 15 minutes with the car and the hotel is on the way to vulcano Irazu. We can highly recommend staying here.

After a long and stressful drive we arrived much later than expected just before 7pm. Luckily enough we had called and found out that the kitchen closes at 7pm and were able to pre order a pizza. After arriving the day and night shifts were just about to switch and the hotel receptionist was quite in a hurry to get us checked in, no information about tours, breakfast times etc. We had to eat our food in the room and had to ask for chairs and a table since there were none in the room. Pretty cold at night but plenty warm under the adequately thick covers. Unfortunately the road was pretty active until late in the evening and you could hear it well. Wifi was very good. The staff on the following day were very friendly but did not ask why we decided to leave a day earlier than planned. Breakfast, cappuccino were above average and the restaurant staff was very friendly! All in all spacious but simple wooden cabins that would need some updating and love. Definitely an average or slightly above average (3.5 if thatcwere an option) accommodation but not more in my opinion.

El sitio es precioso, la vista una hermosura, la comida me encanto de entrada pedi una sopa de tomate, de plato fuerte pedi el pulpo a la parrilla viene en una cama de ensalada de mango, con espárragos, de postre comí torta chilena. El servicio de los meseros espectacular.

Chaletsrtige Stimming im Hotel, freundliches Personal, super bequemes Bett. Warm anziehen da es kalt ist. Wunderschöner Garten zum wohlfühlen, restsurant bietet leckeres Frühstück an. Leider am abend kein lokales Essen jedoch super Burger!

El lugar muy limpio y bonito. Aprovechamos para hacer una sesión de fotos y la comida estaba increíblemente deliciosa. En lo personal hubiera gustado tuviera juegos de mesa para ofrecer la opción como entretenimiento, pero lo recomiendo demasiado.

Una joya de lugar, desde el inicio la atención por mensajes fue inmejorable. Los contacté por su página y en pocos minutos me estaban escribiendo por WhatsApp. La cena deliciosa y el personal del restaurante muy atentos y amables. La cabaña muy acogedora, la cama cómoda y las almohadas estuvieron bien pero pueden mejorar :) El calentador de ambiente se daño y lo cambiaron muy rápido por otro en buen estado. El desayuno del día siguiente fue muy variado y delicioso. Fue por una ocasión especial y el personal del hotel se encargó de que así fuera, volvería a ir y lo recomiendo al 100%
