R2 Higos Beach

The hotel is lovely, modern and quiet. Always a sunlounger. Staff warm amd friendly. Room had everything you need for a self catering hotel. Bar and restaurant only open till 630pm roof top open 5 days per week until 830pm. Local cafe/restaurant in short distance. Great spar at a short distance that had everything we needed.

Hotel is gorgeous ,so clean and peaceful. Rooms are a great size we were in 608 me,my mum and 11 year old son, balcony was big too. All the staff were so nice and very helpful. Sky bar good on a Saturday with the dj. So if you want a relaxing time just chilled then the hotel is perfect.

Great stay at the apartments (room 607). The check-in process was a bit laborious with a printout or email of Jet2 hotel voucher needed but everything after that was great. Very friendly reception, spotlessly clean and solo female friendly. The short walk to the beach has a little local bar that serves food with fantastic views and live music. Superb atmosphere and the most welcoming and friendly staff I've encountered. The apartment is huge. The bed is comfortable and I only wish I could stay longer. (Personal choice but the wasp mural hurts my eyes. Would a lizard or a flower be less offensive? Lots of people are allergic to wasps so I didn't care for it at all. I'll paint it for you haha). Amazing apartotel. Stayed as a family of 3. Staff were amazing and life guard around pool was fantastic. Well kept, modern and well equipped apartment. Not too much in Costa Calma. But was great base

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Higos Beach apartments to anyone. We are currently halfway through a 7 night stay and have already booked for next year, with R2 directly. All apartments are great, but if you can, get one with an ocean view… Staff are welcoming and super efficient. Breakfast is of a very good standard, with great choice. Swimming pool is heated more than enough to take the chill off, whilst still a refreshing way to cool down should you need to. As with all areas, it’s very well kept. Gym is spacious and consists of 2 exercise bikes, 2 cross trainer and 2 treadmills, alongside a weigh machine and free weights. Roof top bar is a must! Views are fab and it’s lovely and peaceful. Food & drink at both pool bar & roof top bar is good and very reasonably priced. Surrounding area is fairly quiet, with a selection of restaurants. Would recommend Terraza del gato, which is just a few minutes walk away. Should you wish to eat in, the apartments are all equipped with all the utensils you may need, along with a small combination oven/microwave and a 2 ringed hob. Looking forward to our return journey already 😊 Thank you for a great holiday.

Firstly, this place is FANTASTIC! We stayed for two weeks. Did not see any insects (ants, mosquitoes etc). The main pool is 1.3 meters deep everywhere. The apartments are very modern and clean. The pool area is the cleanest I have have ever seen. The sunbeds are not allowed to be moved and you are not allowed to eat food on them. The umbrellas are unbelievably heavy and could cause injury if not moved carefully. The regular SOS Lifeguard will move them for you and he is the best Lifeguard I have come across. The Management should be very proud of him.However, when he had a day off his replacements are very poor. One refuses to help any one, including the female bar staff. The other one (a lady) sat by the gym and looked at her mobile phone all day. The pool is warm enough. A large beer is 4.5 euros. The bar snacks/meals are very reasonable. However, we had to send a Lasagne back to the kitchen as it was cold inside. When it returned it was too hot and when it had cooled my partner's meal had gone cool. There many English channels between numbers 854 and 862 including BBC 1,2 &4 and ITV and Channel 5. The paperwork in the apartment is not correct regarding available channels. We traveled with JET2. The driver dropped us off approx half a mile from the apartments because he could not be bothered to take us all the way. At the airport the Jet2 rep tells everyone the pick up point is where you get dropped off. The pick up point was actually at the apartments which caused us a lot of stress and confusion and we could have missed our connection. I would recommend this for adults wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday.
