You know somewhere is good when on the plane home you're thinking about booking it again for the next year! I have to add we struck it lucky having 31-36degrees all week long in November. THE HOTEL:- Clean, tidy, staff are nice, pools are clean, food is good and some good theme nights [chinese & mexican nights were awesome] the rooms are plenty big enough, the air con works well, the evening entertainment is your normal hotel thing, never sure if to take it seriously or laugh, but enjoyable none the less, the millenium bar is a nice space for the evening. TOP TIPS FOR YOUR STAY: UPPER POOL: Packed, sad people will queue from 9am to get access at 10am, its busy, loud and even though we had 2 children with us we never went it was just too much. Bar for drinks is 1 floor above it, so at least the queuers got some exercise between sitting on sunbeds for 8 hours. LOWER POOL: Much quieter [still some people hovering to queue, but nothing like upstairs] some times takes until 10.30 to open, always beds available, bar right next to it with loads of tables and chairs, much more chill, swam every day at some point in it. BARS AND DRINKS: Alcoholic drinks are great, and the bar staff will mix anything you want on the spot, even if they think you're wierd, no drink limit, you can order 30 beers on trays and take them to your room, no problem. Soft drinks are to be avoided at all costs, this also goes for breakfast juices and fizzy drinks in the restaurant. They are dire, but an easy fix is the supermarket next door gives you 10% off prices so we just bought our own coke, lemonade and mixers and made our own drinks, they have no problem with you turning up to the bar with 4 litres of coke and ordering 12 amarettos!!!! There is a dead spot with drinking. Pool bars close at 6 and you have to wait until lobby bar opens to get another drink. Tea and coffee: Stick to the digital touch screen machines they make better coffee. OUTSIDE THE HOTEL: 10 minute walk, various routes to seafront, highlights are Cocoa Beach Bar, right on the sand and you can smoke, unlike all of the others, beer is €3 for local per glass, cocktails €7.25+. Sangres De Tores, we went everyday, great staff, perfect service €1.50 for local beer, cocktails from €4.25. Personally I wouldn't bother with the big market on Thursdays and Sundays, its absolutely heaving, and everything you can get there you can get in shops in the town at the same or better prices. AND REMEMBER, go watch the sunset from the beach it's incredible, and be sure to try a Barraquito coffee from somewhere ＜3
