Hotel in zona Tom and Ted's, Colchester

Booked a B&B room for night (as we have 10-15 times before) but was very disappointed. We booked a room (10th May) it was a warm day and on check in was informed they upgraded to a split level room. I have stayed here (room 19) before and was not massively pleased with it. However we accepted checked in went to room and noticed it was very hot put air con on and left card in the room to keep air con on. When we came back to the room the downstairs part was cold ( the thermostat was by the door, and cold) however when going up stairs to bed (in roof eves) it was about 10oC warmer. We gave it a go but was incredibly uncomfortable at about 1.30am I went to reception to ask for a different room to sleep in as the design (thermostat downstairs and room up meant room was always hot). The guy on reception questioned me about the air con if it were on etc. it’s 1.30am I just want a room. He then came up to the room and showed me room 20 the same design and then said it works in there. It’s not the case the air con was not working it’s just the outlet is downstairs makes that nice and cool then switches off (they also limit air con to 19oC) He asked to come into room and as it was cold (where air con thermostat was) he said it was ok. In the end I left it. We did not sleep well at all and when checking out mentioned this. All we got was oh sorry about that. One of the basic things about a room is ability to sleep and you failed here and the failed with your service. We will not be staying here again and will use The George going forward and can’t wait for the Moxy to open up in the town. From someone who has stayed here for 15 times I suggest you book elsewhere

Hotel del 14° secolo, dotato di un eccellente personale amichevole e utile. Inoltre bonus di parcheggio gratuito.I nostri colazioni sono stati inclusi e sono stati alcuni dei migliori che abbiamo avuto. Il colazione intero è cucinato per ordinare e viene fuori tubo caldo. Molto meglio di un buffet caldo. Il personale è felice di accogliere le preferenze personali, ad esempio non mi piace il bacon scemo, e il bacon ”soft” era perfetto. Yasmin era un piacere, la prima cosa di mattina, allegro, utile e infiammabile. Rowen era il personale perfetto di ricezione per salutare nuovi arrivati durante il giorno. La giovane donna alla ricezione di sera era anche carina, amichevole e utile. Purtroppo non abbiamo notato il suo nome. Camere pulite e comode, piacevole trovare un fan, Il tempo era piuttosto caldo durante il nostro soggiorno. I cookie complementari alla reception erano un bel toccamento e delizioso. E 'un buon 15 minuti di passo al centro della città, che alcuni possono trovare una lotta, ma sembra che ci siano molti autobus che correno entrambi i modi.

Il personale del desk front was quite helpless and blunt. The room still has tinted all over the sideboards.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte mentre avevamo una riunione scolastica vicino, quindi non abbiamo provato il ristorante. Né abbiamo avuto la freakfast, quindi non posso commentarlo. La posizione è facile da trovare - solo fuori dal A12. Il personale era molto utile e amichevole. Le camere erano pulite e il letto era comodo. Parcheggio facile. È esattamente quello che ci serviva.

Just off A12 to the side of the Shell service station on south bound carriage way, you will find free parking slots, but mainly full of vans in the week. Check in was good, the open window in the room didn’t disguise the fact the room had been smoked in. Fairly standard room with no bath, but the bed was softish and narrow for comparable hotels. The breakfast was the standard, but the staff topped up food regularly and cleaned up tables as people left. Due to its location the room rate was reasonable, being 10-15 minutes from the Colchester park and ride.

L' hotel era fantastico e la zona spa era irreale . Aveva una prenotazione per cena e il servizio era davvero cattivo. Ho dovuto chiedere le cose. I prodotti che ho ordinato non sono mai arrivati e i server hanno evitato il contatto con gli occhi, quindi abbiamo dovuto aspettare l'età da servire. Il cibo era come caldo al meglio. Molto costoso e il servizio di customer non c'era.

Benvenuti alla reception. Camera pulita e tempestiva. La nostra principale questione era il letto, inconfortabile e le esigenze della materassi aggiornamento come saggi e creato rulli insieme. OK per una notte ma ci siamo rimasti per due e entrambi avevano le spalle rigide. La colazione era buona, anche se se arrivate dopo la fretta, dovrete aspettare per la cucina.
