Alla fine della nostra vacanza in Portogallo abbiamo passato qualche giorno al mare in Algarve, scegliendo questo hotel, facente parte dei “The Leading Hotels of the World”. Non è il tipo di hotel che scegliamo noi, vista la dimensione, ma si è rivelata un’ottima scelta: l’hotel era tranquillo nonostante l’occupazione totale ed il mese di Agosto. La struttura è immersa in giardini curatissimi e colorati, piscina e spiaggia con una parte riservata agli ospiti dell’hotel; volendo ci sono anche altre spiagge raggiungibili con lo shuttle dell’hotel. Siamo arrivati un po' prima dell’orario di check in avvertendo la struttura e, nonostante la piena occupazione, la nostra camera ci è stata consegnata poco dopo l’arrivo, facendoci attendere brevemente in terrazza con un aperitivo di benvenuto. Abbiamo scelto una camera vista oceano nella zona dedicata agli adulti, tranquilla e riservata; di ottima dimensione, comoda, ben arredata e con un bel patio attrezzato sul giardino. La camera era perfettamente preparata per i soci LHW come noi, con bottiglia di vino e alcuni altri graditissimi omaggi. Tutto qui funziona perfettamente, il personale è di ottimo livello, veloce e cortese. Ci sono parecchi ristoranti nell’hotel, per la colazione noi abbiamo scelto sempre quello della Club House, dove dalla terrazza si godeva di una splendida vista sul mare e sui giardini dell’hotel; colazione degna di nota, ottimi prodotti, tutto incluso comprese ottime uova Benedict. Turndown serale attento, acqua e cioccolato per la buonanotte. Durante il soggiorno hanno recapitato in camera piccoli assaggi dolci, sempre un gesto apprezzato. Brave le Concierges che ci hanno dato bei suggerimenti per visitare le coste rocciose dell’Algarve, ma tutto il personale è efficiente e cordiale. Questa è l’unica struttura della nostra vacanza in Portogallo (tutta in hotel LHW) dove le 5 stelle sono davvero adeguate, nessuna improvvisazione e tanta professionalità.

Dove comincio?! Questo posto è estremamente speciale, dal momento che siamo arrivati ci sentiamo rilassati. Andre ci ha portati con il nostro bagaglio nella nostra stanza, che era eccellente, molto pulita, spaziosa e tranquilla. Andre ci ha portato a vedere un bel hotel, Andre e tutti i suoi dipendenti hanno fatto un giro extra e siamo molto amici. L'hotel è mantenuto ad alto livello, i giardini sono magnifici, la natura era ovunque che era bella, e era pulito ovunque andavamo! Sinceramente non so come nessuno potrebbe sbagliare questo posto. Molto consiglio!

Dopo aver trovato gli appartamenti (solo per la strada locale), Paula ci ha salutati e ci ha mostrato nella nostra stanza. Grazie alla traduzione di Google, Paula ha spiegato tutto sul complesso, e ha anche suggerito un paio di ristoranti locali. L'abbiamo vista diverse volte durante i 5 giorni che eravamo li', aveva sempre un sorriso e si è chiesto se tutto fosse tutto a posto. Abbiamo trovato i bar/caffetteri del villaggio molto economici, ma se volete un pasto ”corretto”, andate al mare per una scelta più ampia di ristorante e solo un po' più costoso.

Hotel decente e buon prezzo per i soldi. È stato parte di un pacchetto vacanze BA. Buono servizio dalla Reception. Diversa scelta di cibo per colazione. È bello scegliere tra mangiare nei ristoranti locali di sera o comprare cibo e vino al grande supermercato locale (10 minuti a piedi) e cucinare qualcosa nella microonde fornita in camera che aveva anche un frigo/congelatore.

We stayed here for a week commencing Saturday 06 May 2023 (2 couples). This is a really nice hotel with plenty of space, and the whole resort is spotlessly clean. We were welcomed on arrival by some very friendly staff. We arrived about 11.30am, but the rooms were not to be available until 16:00. However, if I gave my mobile number, they would call me as soon as they were ready. We went off for a drink at the Pool bar and received the call about 13:00...excellent. Our room was a Garden/Pool view room (with partial sea views). As far as I am aware, this was a standard room. The room was huge, and had ample storage space. Very comfortable king size bed. Rain shower with separate toilet with bidet. Kettle with coffee and tea (decaffeinated coffee available from reception). There is also a small fridge. The balcony has two seats and a table. Daily maid service. Towels and bed-linen changed at request. Our package was Half Board which meant that breakfast and lunch was taken in the Ocean Buffet restaurant. There was one other Restaurant available: Prima Donna Restaurant (more on this later). The food in the buffet restaurant was very good with plenty of choice and good quality (It's hard to produce excellent quality on this scale). The service staff in this restaurant were also very good and attentive. The Pool Bar, which is only open during the day, is an al-la-carte restaurant serving a good range of very good food. Good service and friendly staff. You can order as little as 1 bucket of chips, and also share meals. We found this a food way of keeping the cost of meals down at lunchtime, when we didn't require much anyway. Prima Donna restaurant: This is offered as an alternative to the Buffet in the evening. The hotel will allow you €15.00 per person against the cost of the menu. For us, this restaurant was very disappointing as there is very little by way of an Italian atmosphere. The food was OK, but not worth spending the extra on. The staff inn here were, in my view, pretty inexperienced and without the personality you might expect in an Italian restaurant. This is definitely an area where the hotel could do better. There is a small amount of entertainment which takes place three nights a week in the lobby bar. The guitarist on Monday was quite good, the female singer on Wednesday was really good, and the male singer on Thursday (I think) needed to inject a bit more feeling and life into his act. The bar service in this area was usually slow, saved only by the personality of the barmen. Special praise should go to Carlos Santos who was always attentive and with a great personality. There is an excellent beach about 10 minutes from the hotel alnog a wooden walkway. I have two complaints: The cost of the drink was on a par with what you would purchase on George Street in Edinburgh. The other is that water should be provided free of charge in a resort like this, as water is an essential part of this type of holi
