La casa era bella e benvenuta, e non c'era nulla di troppo difficile, a prescindere dalla richiesta. Il colazione era sorprendente, con la lemone curda/marmalade fatta a casa e per morire. Il pranzo di Natale era un affare molto immediato, anche se ci era troppo per mangiare per solo due di noi.La nostra stanza (Thirlmere) era piacevole, anche se il bagno in suite era un po' troppo vicino al bagno e l'acqua era troppo lunga per correre caldo. Amo il gel da doccia e lavatrice di mano. Pensavamo che fosse un po' di estensione da vendere come hotel spa, dato che l'accesso alla piscina e allo vapore è limitato, poiché queste strutture sono aperte ai membri esterni/scuole. L'unico vero svantaggio è stato la piscina, visto che sembrava stanca e in bisogno di acqua dolce, e visto che ci siamo visti il fine settimana sarebbe stato bello non avere un accesso limitato. Sarebbe stato utile informare che la stanza di vapore era fuori uso e che ciò era qualcosa che ci attendevamo davvero di usare, e tutto ciò che pensava che sarebbe tornato indietro.

Fantastico piccolo Inn. Rimase per una notte tra le attività del distretto del lago in onore e buttermere. Circa 30 minuti di auto da entrambi. Sulla strada dal lago bassenthwaite che era perfetto per rifrire dopo un giorno attivo.
Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera 25 che era deliziosa! Perfetta per una famiglia di quattro. Bello piccolo giardino comunale con un banco piquenico. Parcheggio facile. Personale carino, e cibo era grande! Sicuramente tornerà!

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in una classica più camera. Bella stanza, ma niente di speciale. Avevamo una bella vista sulle montagne. Purtroppo, nella stanza poteva essere aperta solo una piccola finestra, ma fortunatamente c'era anche un ventilatore. L'hotel dispone di un buon bar e un sacco di spazio dove si può sedersi. Nel bel tempo anche terrazza fuori con splendida vista. Buon colazione. Ci sono molti membri del personale che si girano intorno a ciò che è amichevole, ma spesso può essere un po' attento. Abbiamo mangiato 3 notti nel ristorante. Buona cena e grandi porzioni. Hotel è una buona base per una passeggiata/vacanza di passeggiata. Hotel è sicuramente consigliabile.

Fantastic stay here with very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We could not have been made more welcome. Key positives are; Location: Just outside the bustle of Keswick in picture pretty Portinscale (20 min walk to Keswick centre). Portinscale has its own pubs and coffee shops so you might not need to leave. Guest house is well set back from any roads and there’s no road noise Property: Scrupulously clean. Unusually large rooms and bathrooms. Modern fittings and furnishings. There is a fantastic view of Lake Derwent from the front, or alternatively great views of the looming Skiddaw from the back Parking: Ample off road parking for all guests Hosts: Extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating. They gave us lots of help with local information, from taxis to the best spots to swim in the Lake. Breakfasts: All the classic English Breakfast staples, and some rotating specials (eg Kippers) on top of a decent buffet breakfast. Overall, an excellent experience
