We booked for a 2 night stay, visit Waddesdon en route, Bletchley the next day and Stowe on our return. We reached the hotel early evening and were pleased to find a parking space in the little courtyard and were greeted by Holly who proved to be very helpful, happy to go the extra mile to assist us. Our room was 203 which was spacious, quiet, well equipped and easily reached via the lift. The bath was a little high to get into and I would’ve preferred a separate shower but neither things spoilt our visit. We had dinner on our first evening, included in our Great Little Breaks package, which was good although the service might have been quicker. Our choice for breakfast was very good although it arrived a bit cold. Buckingham town had some history but sadly the museum in the town goal was closed. The coffee and hot chocolate in the Chantry Chapel was good. Bletchley Park was very interesting and our 5 hours there was only just sufficient. We had not realised the full extent of its influence on the outcome of the War. The vast estate of Stowe was made even more interesting by the instillation of the 1745 cut-outs of the service men who died on the first day of D Day. Heads bowed, facing their fate. The resistance fighters were a surprise find.

I booked this for me and my partner and I was absolutely blown away by the value for money. We booked a spa package through spa breaks and had brunch, afternoon tea, a 3 course meal, 40 minute spa treatment and full use of the facilities as well as breakfast the next day. The food for the overall experience was absolutely delicious! The staff, especially Ozan, were so accommodating and helpful and all seemed like very hard workers! He waited on our table and really went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable! The only down side was the restaurant gets so busy that our table wasn’t booked until 9pm which was a bit too late for my liking but meant we could order room service beforehand for a light snack and that was timely and well presented. The spa was absolutely beautiful, such a calming environment and our treatments were wonderful. The facilities were also very well looked after and clean which I thought was super! The room itself was okay, I liked the bottle of wine and thought that was a nice touch! The bathroom could’ve been cleaner as the bath mat, toilet brush and bath wasn’t up to 4* standard but overall pretty good! We also received free cocktails as part of the bar staff creating a new cocktail menu and we were really grateful and the cocktails were delicious! Overall it was a really lovely experience and we will absolutely be returning.

This is a stunning hotel with a superb restaurant. All staff members appear committed to making a pleasant stay for their customers. We ate in Harry’s bar both evenings and enjoyed wonderful food and excellent service. The first evening they were extremely busy but managed the evening to perfection. Check in by Priya was probably our most welcoming experience ever and nothing was too much trouble for this delightful lady. Many, many thanks and we hope to return.
