Hotel vicini a Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church a Christchurch

Clean and same picture with actual. Recommend for those who stay overnight. And convenient to walk to Christchurch airport. Also there are some restaurantz like Subway, KFC, MCD etc and supermarket are nearby JUCY

Excellent location to explore Christchurch attractions. Very clean and well appointed room for an excellent price (I was wondering what It may be getting into). The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. DATA DI TRASPORTO: Luglio 2023 Rimase qui per 10 giorni in viaggio d'affari. Camera e bagno erano grandi, ma i letti sono orribili. Non sono legati a una testa di letto e sono una base di ensemble solo per spostarsi. Ho dormito meglio in un motel a Timaru, che è una vergogna perché lavorare 10 ore, stare in un hotel 5*, si pensa che dormire come un bambino. Fortunatamente, la pressione alta della doccia e il bagno erano grandi, oltre a questo, il terreno dell’hotel è bellissimo con un ampio parcheggio. La mia camera aveva una veranda che mi piaceva sedere e guardare il traffico passeggiare. Avrei chiesto una microonde per mangiare preparazioni a causa del mio diabete e questo era lì prima di controllare in quale era grande. L'hotel è situato intorno all'angolo da un sacco di ristoranti e Westfield Ricccarton e vicino al parco di Hagley, che è stato grande per una passeggiata mattina. Ho provato il buffet del colazione nel ristorante il sabato e era insufficiente. Non ho finito di tornare indietro. Molte caffè in giro comunque. Tutti in alto, io apprezzo il mio soggiorno lì 4*. Le strutture erano grandi, le richieste erano soddisfatte con entusiasmo e il bagno era fantastico. La stanza stessa è ben progettata, ma il letto è terribile che detrae una stella. Ma restarei ancora con mia moglie, forse portare qualche *** per attaccare le gambe del letto per fermarli a muoversi!

Accommodation is good. My criticism of the hotel is the customer service in the bar. Tiny pours of wine, barman kept calling me (female business traveller) ”dear” - didn't point out that the beer I ordered in happy hour (after I enquired which drinks were discounted) was not included in happy hour....As a lone female business traveller I want to feel welcome, not patronised. The whole point of hospitality staff is that they are hospitable and your staff seemed to not have really grasped how to do that. I frequently stay at Accor hotels and love the friendliness of the staff - (Pullman Rotorua is an example of excellent customer service). Christchurch was an anomaly.

Il proprietario era molto amichevole. La stanza, mentre un po' date, era grande per il prezzo - soprattutto con il bagno bagnato incluso. La stanza era anche senza spot. La città è un po' di distanza da passeggiata, ma il bagno lo rendeva tutto utile. Usa il telefono per il villaggio di Edgeware se dovete fare qualsiasi acquisto di prodotti alimentari.

My room was not cleaned up despite me putting up a door notice for housekeeping for the day. When I returned to my room in the evening, I was told to my surprise that my booking did not include housekeeping. The website of Breakfree at Cashel mentioned housekeeping is available. I was not informed that my booking omitted this service. Furthermore, I was told to collect new towels by myself at the counter. I just don't feel the hotel is not up to the mark in this aspect. Other things I am not quite happy about is that the room space is too small for easy packing and unpacking of my luggage but I suppose I get what I paid for, which is ok. I have decided to move to other hotel for the rest of my journey in Christchurch for the above reasons .

Siamo stati in città solo per una notte, prima di prendere il treno mattina a Greymouth, abbiamo scelto questo hotel a causa della vicinanza alla stazione. La signora alla reception, che forse è stata la proprietaria, non avrebbe potuto essere più utile con consigli. Ci ha anche corsa alla stazione di mattina. Se avete bisogno di un hotel vicino alla stazione, questa è una grande scelta.

Il nostro hotel è stato aperto per 4 notti, è arrivato per la prima volta, la ricezione è stata abbastanza gentile ma non molto utile come qualsiasi personale di front desk potrebbe essere. La stanza era pulita e confortevole, la posizione era fantastica, l'ambiente era meraviglioso (molto, pochi ospiti caldi). Ma in qualche modo mia moglie ha perso l'anello di nozze dalla nostra stanza, e non ci siamo accorti che alla fine del giorno, e avremmo dovuto prendere l'orecchio. Il signor *********, il manager dell'hotel, ha reso ancora peggio dal punto di vista dei viaggiatori. Ha un atteggiamento peggiore verso l'intero incidente, invece di offrire la sua empatia, ha spinto la responsabilità verso gli ospiti dell'hotel che hanno perso l'anello di nozze nella sua stanza all'hotel. La sua aggressione passiva è in tutta la povera recensione di Google! Egli ha reagito con la sua brutta reazione quando ha chiesto di avere un CCTV diverso dal record di accesso alla porta che poteva fornire immediatamente, e ha acconsentito alla sua risposta e all’atteggiamento verso qualcuno che si è rivolto in camera per cercare solo l’anello scomparso. Non era amichevole, empatico, né benvenuto, nonostante sia nel settore dell'ospitalità. Non incolpo nessuno qui, né faccio accuse su nessuno, ma lui, come manager dell'hotel, è stato l'unico a cercare aiuto in un paese straniero, e ci aspettava di capire come funzionava la polizia e il sistema qui. Per noi, ci ha fatto sembrare *** e dimenticare le nostre proprietà.

Similar to a previous review I was very disappointed and the main issue I believe is that many of the information sites are falesly advertising that Parking is available on site,. At the back inside the house is: A tiny room approx 2 and 1/4 metres wide; L shape. On my second night I could not sleep as a large window high above the bed to the left ( over one metre wide by one foot high) was stuck and wide open all night. A strong cold wind began around 11pm and too high to shut even when I stood on the couch and I am quite tall. The wind caused the blind to beat against the wall all night. Then at 3am the smoke alarm started beeping so I spent all night with the TV ON to pass the time. I asked the owner for a refund for one of the nights for this bad experience but none forthcoming. There was a lot of voices coming from the owners room through the door in the next room at times. The bathroom was down a passage where I was unable to shut that window also; it appeared to be an old window type as I (on my own and over 75) couldn't move the hinges. I stayed at motels the same week for the same price. $150 night. Wonderful I felt like I was out of Jail. Many travel sites for this guest house say FREE PRIVATE PARKING IS AVAILABLE ON SITE. This is not true. The owner told me that I could not park ON SITE. I cannot stress that: Parking was a huge problem as the metal locked driveway gate was for private use only I was told and the roadside on one side had time limits. On such a busy area with two cafes next door I had to keep circling the block and finally parked some distance away. This guest house does not welcome guests who take on this room to a kitchen or lounge or provide breakfast or meals. When I finally found a park I had to make 3 trips with belongings and food. Tourists especially from overseas need to be aware of this and also this major parking issue. Public Holidays are even WORSE to find a park which could be kms away. A very low couch was side on to the Tv. There were no table or chairs, to eat your food on or sit your coffee on. Just a wardrobe with a toaster, microwave, fridge and jug. The bed head board was not attached to the bed and banged against the wall. This room was around the back inside the house that looked out on their private driveway and garage. There was no comfort staying in this space during the day even though I needed rest. Lots of improvements needed here and a big reduction from $150 per night. A welcome pack would have been great showing a map of Sumner with cafes etc., especially for first time overseas visitors or New Zealanders
