Dopo essere venuti qui in agosto 2021, abbiamo ripetuto l'esperienza a giugno di quest'anno, avendo però un upgrade della camera, esttamente la n.23. La camera ha l'ingresso da dietro la reception, con vista mare, e poi un bel terrazzo con vista porto e spiaggia di Cochlidia. La stanza è discretamente ampia con un bagno non troppo grande, ma comunque con bianchiera cambiata sempre tutti i giorni dall'efficientissimo servizio di pulizia dell'hotel. Nel terrazzo si ha un ombrellone con tavolino e quattro sedie nonchè tutto il necessario per stendere la roba bagnata dopo la spiaggia. Colazione ottima con tutto il necessario e con vista mare. Soprattutto vorrei sottolineare l'efficienza di tutto il personale dell'hotel ma soprattutto del mitico Georgios, che avevamo già conosciuto l'anno scorso, e che è una persona simpaticissima oltre che pronto ed efficiente nell'esaurire le richieste del cliente. Da non sottovalutare il fatto che, dall'entrata della amera, con una camminata di due minuti si raggiunge la bellissima spiaggia di Vardia Bay, che al mattino offre dei colori semplicementi spettacolari. Noi ci torneremo sicuramente!!

We stayed at this hotel in early May for two nights en route between Santorini and Milos. We were attracted by the star rating and the possibility of a rest in our schedule. We had not appreciated that the complex would not be fully open nor that the beginning of the season in Folegandros is much later in May. The Resort has we believe 24 rooms and suites in single and two-storey units around a pool on the edge of Chora Town. It provides free transfers to and from the Port. Were residents wishing to drive to or drive whilst in Folegandros the hotel has private parking. There is a public bus from Chora to the Port. There is a dedicated reception area upon entry into the Resort grounds. We found the staff less than engaging, and whilst pleasant and with good English, a little off-hand. Sadly the first room we were offered had deficient aircon/heating and we had to move to a second room which whilst acceptable was on several levels with two flights of steps which we found intimidating without rails because we are elderly. That said the room was of a good size, with a desk and chair. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of storage but otherwise was disappointing. It had an over-bath shower on an undersized bath. Even in this replacement room the plug to the wash-hand basin did not function and had to be repaired the next day. Housekeeping was satisfactory as was Wi-Fi. The room – which had an extra bed space provided via a cushioned shelf - was comfortable and (with working aircon/heating) warm. We did not experience any noise from the complex - but it was thinly occupied – and nothing from the nearby road. Whilst we saw no wholesale provision for disabled access we believe that any guests with mobility problems could enjoy the resort but might find Chora Town too steep to navigate in the Kastro area. Breakfast is provided in a dedicated room adjacent to the bar. It also serves as a restaurant but was not providing dinners whilst we were in residence – it provided snacks up until 6pm. The restaurant- when operating - is open to the general public. When we were there the bar closed at 9pm. Because the complex was not fully open there was no pool bar, there was no opportunity for outside eating, and breakfast was a curious process of ticking items required on an individual list. It cannot be described as anything other than OK. We found no evidence of the Spa – nor was it offered. The pool area was large with various swimming areas, sun loungers were plentiful and there were some covered seating. It was too cold for us to use it. We sought dinner in Chora Town and found that - even for vegetarians - whilst there was not much choice of establishment we could get a satisfactory meal. Our restauranteur did advise that life would return around 15 May. This Resort does not merit a 5 star rating - certainly in our experience – although its prices are high compa

Ultimo giorno di una splendida vacanza ad Ios. L'albergo è bellissimo, pulito,; le camere sono nuove, la colazione eccezionale e le persone che lavorano in struttura sono cordiali, disponibili e sempre pronti a darti consigli su come godere al meglio dei tuoi giorni di vacanza. Ci torneremo sicuramente perché l'isola è fantastica ed abbiamo anche trovato l'albergo del ❤️. Grazie a tutto lo staff di Yalos

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was truly wonderful from start to finish!! The staff on reception were amazing, so helpful! Nothing was too much trouble, they provided information upon check in about the hotel, places to visit, local bars/ restaurants/ sunset spots. The hotel was beautiful, well equipped and really clean. It is in a perfect spot, 5 mins walk from the port and 10 mins walk into Chora. Would definitely recommend Alma sunset bar, 10/15 walk from the hotel and the perfect place to watch the sunset. We will definitely be returning to Ios and we will definitely be staying here.

Nonostante abbia girato il mondo (sia per lavoro che in vacanza) e visitato hotels di tutti i tipi (spessissimo 5 Stelle) raramente mi sono trovato così bene come all’IOS Palace. Ambiente raffinatissimo nella sua semplicità. Personale di una spontanea gentilezza e sempre col sorriso. Posizione impagabile a 20m dalla spiaggia più famosa e bella dell’isola. Due piscine dall’ambiente curatissimo; quella bassa da cui si vede tutta la spiaggia e dove c’è il bar e la zona ristorazione ed una alta, quasi in cima alla collina su cui è arroccato l’Hotel, da cui si gode una vista spettacolare di tutta la struttura e della baia sottostante con la sua lunghissima spiaggia. Il tutto disseminato di vialetti con splendide palme ed ancor più belle bouganville. La parte più alta della struttura, dove abbiamo alloggiato in una stupenda camera Superior, domina tutto lo scenario, incluse le due piscine, la baia e la spiaggia; vista veramente spttacolare. Camera spaziosissima, ben arredata, con una magnifica luce ed un terrazzo di discrete dimensioni. Non vi manca nulla che possiate desiderare in termini di spazi d’appoggio, di armadi (comodissimo), luci interne per tutti i gusti compresa lampadina per lettura notturna etc…. Non preoccupatevi; alla parte alta (che corrisponderebbe ad un 8° piano) si accede tramite due ascensori a torre e qualche vialetto tra l’uno e l’altro. Ristorante Tomatini: una sera, dopo un aperitivo con Aperol Spritz e Piña Colada (degni del miglior bar che possiate immaginare) abbiamo cenato al lume di candela in un tavolino a bordo piscina con la spiaggia ai nostri piedi; Bruschettine al salmone ed un ottimo paté di olive, Risotto ai gamberi, poi Gamberi alla griglia e, per finire, dolce gentilmente offerto dal maitre. Tutto squisito e presentato in maniera impeccabile tant’è che qualche sera dopo abbiamo replicato la cena esattamente con le stesse portate. Costo della cena direi medio alto per la Grecia (volendo escludere Mykonos e Santorini dove i prezzi sono oramai alle stelle ed i piatti non sempre di gran qualità) ma assolutamente più economico di tanti ristoranti (anche mediocri) in cui ci si può imbattere oggi in Italia. Per finire, colazione a Buffet ottima (sia continentale che all’italiana) con cappuccino buono e schiumato come nei più buoni bar di Milano o Roma. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
