Alloggi Pullman a Chongqing

I recently stayed at Pullman Chongqing Xiyue, and while the property itself is very new, clean, and beautifully designed, my overall experience was disappointing due to the air-conditioning. The hotel is modern with stylish interiors, spacious rooms, and a fresh, upscale feel. Its location is also very convenient—within walking distance of Chongqingbei Railway Station, which makes it a great choice for travelers arriving or departing by train. Unfortunately, the central cooling system was not effective at all. When I first entered the room, it was quite hot. I turned on the air-conditioning and waited for about an hour expecting it to cool down, but instead the room felt even warmer, with no sense of fresh air circulating. After two complaints, an engineer came to check the system, and I was upgraded to an Exclusive Suite. At first, the suite felt cooler, but during the night the temperature became unbearable. I woke up several times drenched in sweat; the room felt stuffy and difficult to breathe, as if there was no proper ventilation. This made it very hard to get a good night’s rest. I later noticed other guests mentioning similar AC issues. The manager explained that the air-conditioning is centrally controlled to maintain a “comfortable” temperature. However, this doesn’t make sense when the room has its own temperature controls that guests cannot actually use to adjust the cooling to their needs. In summary, although the hotel is beautiful, new, and well located, the lack of effective climate control significantly affected my stay. Sadly, I did not get a comfortable night’s sleep, which is the most important part of any hotel experience.
